Matt 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Matt 4:20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

How does this apply to me?

I recognize that I live in the above mentioned place. I also know that I truly listen, I hear with intelligence, knowing good advice when I hear it. I am every bit as hard headed as Peter was. I still have courage and spiritual strength. And I have spent 12 years in the household of organized religion, fishing with the wrong net!

The net I had been fishing with was the wrong doctrine. Examples:

1) Religion; Only Jesus sows the word. YESHUA; the sower sows the word

2) Religion; You can not be like Jesus. YESHUA; the servant is as his master.

3) Religion; Kneel at the foot of the cross and pray.

YESHUA; kneel at my feet to learn, and pray to the Father.

4) Religion; you can never be perfect. YESHUA; be you perfect even as he is perfect.

And just as YESHUA said to Peter and Andrew, he also says to me,

Isaiah prophesied of the same kind of place I live in. It is the

spiritual place of a habitation of wrestling. This wrestling is done by the way, te manner in which they do it, of the great sea of people in general. It is a public place that is beyond mere descent, because it is the circuit of the foreign nations of sin that are not worshiping the true God, and of the nation that knows of the true God but fails to worship him in spirit and truth.

I am reminded that this thread is the effectual work in the story of the woman at the well. Jesus came to her as she was in this very state of sin. She was just as well in a state of bondage, because she had not been told the Truth. She was held captive by a doctrine that did not free her from sin, and a doctrine that was passed down to her through the traditions of men.
