Ok so I was watching Paula White preaching on TBN and she is such a great speaker and I was totally into it and I really felt like she was speaking to me with the things she was saying and it was a really great sermon.

But then the thing is it was also a pledge drive and she was preaching on Psalm 66:12 and so she kept telling people that they needed to get up and go to the phones and plant a seed of $66.12 for the next year to show they have the faith in God and theyre bringing something to the table for him to multiply.

It really stinks cause the sermon was so awesome it's like she was speaking to me and saying everything I needed to hear but then another part of me wants to totally disregard everything she said because the $66.12 stuff sounded so bogus.

So I am really annoyed and frustrated now.

We're supposed to give out of the abundance of our heart that the Lord places there, noy because we've been guilt-tripped. Some people don't have that much to give. Some have more. Give what the Lord tells you, to your local church body first, thenother places if He leads you to.

Just like you would spit out the bones while eating meat, keep the good and disregard the rest. :24: if her message made you feel good, take the good. But I would keep my money unless the Lord wanted me to give it.

God spoke through a donkey once. If you recognise God speaking to you about something, don't concern yourself with the insipid requests for money, concentrate on what God has said to you.

That being said, I'd still have to make a decision about whether or not to watch a ministry which behaves in this way. We're to give based on what scripture says, not based on the cutesy little formulas cooked up by these organisations. All this junk is nonsense Biblically and you don't need it in your life.

And I know many people under a lot of condemnation because Ms. White taught that a 'biblical tithe' is 30%! If you're giving less, you can't expect God to bless you!!!

Look, like all of us I'm sure she says stupid things sometimes......

Join the club, my dear!

TBN is a ministry of, and by, satan. Paul Crouch has the spirit of anti-christ in him, and his network daily leads thousands of unsuspecting people further down the path to hell and away from the true Gospel of Christ and Him cricufied (1 Cor. 1:23).

He is, in my opinion and according to Scripture, preaching a false gospel and another Jesus (Gal. 1:6-9). He and his minions- like Benny Hinn, Paula White, John Hagee, etc.- are getting rich off of the poorest of the poor in this country and the world with their 'gospel of prosperity' and "sowing" of seed into THEIR ministry. The only "kingdom" this is advancing is Mr. Crouch's, not God's.

As Jesus said, "Do not be decieved," dear Daughter. These people have sold their souls- knowingly or not- to the devil, in exchange for riches and fame in THIS world and NOT for the one to come. I strongly believe this word is from the Lord! Amen.

Stand strong! That "other part" of you was undoubtedly the Holy Spirit telling you that this woman and what she was telling you to do was NOT of God. Don't forget, the enemy knows the Bible even better than we do, and will try and use it against us whenever he can. Remenber how the serpent tried to use God's Word against Christ in the garden? So just because you felt that Ms. White's message was for you, which probably is true, it obviously was not coming from the Lord.

You want to be faithful to God and "bring something to the table for Him to multiply?" Give to your church. Give to missions. Give it to the homeless man or woman on the street!. It doesn't matter even how much. Then, just stand back and watch as the Lord rewards you and multiplies you, all because of your faithfulness to Him and not in mere men.

God bless...

In Christ,

MikeE

Yes...but the thing is, its so dissapointing cause like everything she said was so inspirational to me and I wish I could believe it cause for a moment I thought, oh my gosh, this is God speaking to me, so it's just...sad.

And that's the plan, right?

I mean, they know they won't get much for straight talking, so they have to smooth it over some.

Kinda makes you want to contribute, huh?

It works- and people lose money.

Don't be surprised. TBN has many charismatic and eloquent speakers to stir up its audience to give their very last dime. It's dispicable, quite frankly.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
