-shock-

YOU COPIED MY THREAD!

:P

:wub::24::emot-handshake:

HE DID!

Shame on him now we should send him to the "Plagiarism" post cuz he didn't even give you credit :P

lol, actually, if you read back a couple pages when I found out someone else had been doing a post very similar to this, I said that Ask An Atheist had reasonable ground to believe I stole (I really don't like that word) the idea from him :P . I offered no compensation, but one should also note that both myself and Ask An Atheist are two different people, so our ideas and opinions may differ.

Seriously, not surprised but at least you admit it. You should offer compensation if you agree you stole it

lol, i didn't agree that I stole it, I just said he had reasonable grounds to believe I did. In all honesty I wasn't even aware that he had already started a thread like this one, mostly because I only view the apologetics forum. Maybe I should browse the site more ;)

Well I'm not surprised again as there are so many opinions and believe it or not we sometimes do think the same so I can see how that would happen. But if if were word for word or if you were sneaky and changed his wording around you do still owe him an apology but I seriously don't think that's the case. Post saying the same thing by one non believer and one athiest :P:P:P It's like one Christian saying Jesus is my Lord and Savior and another saying Jesus is my Lord and Savior and hey, you stole that from me! The difference is, we don't consider it stealing, we considerate a bond that ties us together as His children.

You started this thread to learn from others, tell me what have you learned from this thread?

I more or less started this thread just so people can ask questions and to get a glimpse of where I'm coming from and how I think. I wouldn't say I've learned anything in particular yet, but I do hope that I'll be able to learn from someone before this thread starts to die down.

The only problem I see with this thread is most Christians were non-believers at some point in there life. What could a non-believer tell me that I don't already know? :emot-hug:

Your internal desire for love is just one of many internal truths about God that reside within you.

How is it that my internal desire for love is an 'internal truth' about God? Why can't it be the internal truth about Vishnu? Or Shiva? Or Allah? Not to be disrespectful, but you have to realize that your God is as 'real' to me, as any other god in the world. Let's take a look at the internal truths about Allah.

Lypse,

There are a few truths that exist within the soul and heart of every human being. They are so simple that most people miss the simple truth behind them.

I will deal with one, less I muddy the water (and I tend to do that sometimes).

I am assuming for sake of argument that you do not believe that Allah is the one all consuming God, the creator of everything in the known universe.

I will also assume for sake of argument that you do not believe the Quran is the inspired word of Allah.

I am guessing that most believers have tried to prove to you that Allah exist by using external facts. I will only use internal facts. That is the internal truths that are in you as a person.

A truth that resides in every human being is the fact the people want to love and be loved. People need love. As they grow to adulthood the way they find love changes. But at the outset all human beings want to be loved and love.

Granted love means different things to you then it does to me or anyone else. How we feel loved is like a kaleidoscope, it changes as we turn the time of our life as we grow and mature.

In Quran 23:12-14 we read - Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators.

You may be saying,

Forgive me Brother but you sound confused. You allude that you may be a hindu or a buddhit and you say that in a couple of replies back that it "could " be your God that was the creator are you confused. What really brought you to this site. Are you hoping you find the Peac of Christ. My Lord is the Jehovah Shalom and i pray that HE gives you clarity. No man or woman here will be able to change your heart but the Holy Spirit will. He loves you dearly.

The simple truth I shared with you about love in all mankind is absolute, always the same, that truth is one. Therefore if you were to say it comes from Allah and I were to say it comes from God we are at odds about the truth of love that I shared with you. Because one truth can only come from one source.

That's the thing though, who is the source the truth comes from? You can't expect me to assume it comes from your God. And for the record, I'm not an atheist, I'm more agnostic if anything.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
