Exodus 13

1. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2. Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.

3. And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

4. This day came ye out in the month Abib.

5. And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.

6. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the Lord.

7. Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

8. And thou shalt shew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the Lord did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.

9. And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the Lord's law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought thee out of Egypt.

10. Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance in his season from year to year.

11. And it shall be when the Lord shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanites, as he sware unto thee and to thy fathers, and shall give it thee,

12. That thou shalt set apart unto the Lord all that openeth the matrix, and every firstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the Lord's.

13. And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the firstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.

14. And it shall be when thy son asketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the Lord brought us out from Egypt, from the house of bondage:

15. And it came to pass, when Pharaoh would hardly let us go, that the Lord slew all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of beast: therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all that openeth the matrix, being males; but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.

16. And it shall be for a token upon thine hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes: for by strength of hand the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt.

17. And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

18. But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.

19. And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.

20. And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.

21. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:

22. He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Each of the plagues addressed one of the gods of Egypt and God just laughed in the face of all they had crafted to worship. They had to know that their gods were being despised one by one in this series.

This last is payback time for the killing of God's chosen people in the days when Moses himself was saved out of the carnage that Pharoah had wrought.

I am not taking my theology from the movies but I do remember that scene where Yul Brenner's son is laid across the arms of the Baal statue and the despair (prior to the rage) as he looked at the lifeless body of that baby. it was a powerful visual image for my little girl eyes.

We look back over 1.000's of years with the end known already and this is still a powerful image for us today. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob continues to bring salvation as depicted in this story. The blood of the lamb is still the factor that saves. Ain't God glorious

Hello darski,

you make a very excellent point on the plagues each one representing the gods of Egypt. I hadn't noticed that before. it would make for a good indepth study. I knew that the Egyptians did worship idol gods though. I too remember that scene you are talking about when he layed his son across the arms of the idol Baal I remember them looking kind of like a dog or a falcon. I remeber the board game they was playing also had similiar pieces to it.

It is amazing like you say we are looking back and the image of that great event is still powerful today. And I have reflected in the past my thoughts were toward our country and how we talk about the forefathers of our country and how it was founded and all. But I thought that our country was founded one nation under God and I thought that we have really vered from our true forefathers of long ago being Abraham Isaac and Jacob men of true faith men in which God made the covenant of promise that is still in effect to today. Without there faith of long ago we wouldn't be a Christian nation. I appreciate all the great men that started this nation and the stands they took for God there was some outstanding men and women who paved the way but without that unwavering faith that came from our countries true spiritual founding fathers being Abraham Isaac and Jacob we wouldn't have our freedom in Christ that came to us by promise the promised seed Jesus Christ in whom we have salvation and remission of sins. Our country would do good to return to our spiritual founding fathers of the faith the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. These are my forefathers of the faith.

Exodus 13

## The Lord tells Moses to sanctify or set apart for Him all of the firstborn whatsoever openeth the womb first both from among men and also of the beast as the Lord had claimed these firstborn for his own from the people and the animals. After that Moses goes and tells the children of Israel to remember this day in which they came up out of Egypt from the house of bondage because it was by strength of hand that the Lord Himself brought you our from their and when you remember this great day be sure that you eat no leavened bread during this time of remberance.

## And it was on the 14th of the month of Abib which was the first month on their very first calendar.

And whenever the Lord finally brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Hittities, Amorites, Hivites and the Jebusites which is the land that the Lord sware to give unto thy fathers to give thee a land flowing with milk and honey that you are to keep this ordinace and service in this month of Abib. And seven days you are not to eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day then shall be the feast to the Lord. Remember that for seven days you are not to eat unleavened bread and you are not to have any leaven bread be seen among you during this time nor are you to be seen with leaven with you or in your houses it has to be removed from your dwellings until this seven days are up.

## Moses goes on and tells them that in the time to come you should show unto your sons in that day telling and instructing them that is is all being done because of what the Lord did unto us and for us as he had mercy on us and heard our cries and brought us out of Egypt out of bondage with a mighty stretched out arm. As this ordinance will be for a sign to you on your hand and for a memorial between your eyes that the Lord's law may be in thy mouth. For you are to keep this ordinance in it's season from year to year.

## And whenever you come into that land of the Canaanites that the Lord sware to thy fathers to give unto you. Then you are to set apart or sanctify to me all the firstborn males that openeth up the womb from among the beasts and mules and the firstborn of the mules you are to redeem them with a lamb; an if you want redeem them then you are to break it's neck and also all the firstborn males born from among your children that openeth the womb shall you redeem

## And in time to come your sons will ask you What is this you are doing and you should tell them how that by the strenghth of the Lord's hand he brought us out of from Egypt the land of bondage. And it came to pass when Pharaoh would hardly let us go that the Lord slew all the firstborn in all the land of Egypt from the firstborn of man and then the beast. So this is why I am sacrificing to the Lord all that has opened up the womb first as a reminder of what the Lord did on our behalf to bring us out. But as far as the firstborn of my children I redeem them. This ordinance is a token and you shall put in on your hand as a reminder and between thine eyes in fronlets they was to wear so they would remember the strong hand of God that brought them out of Egypt.

## Now whenever the Pharaoh had let the people of God go God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines which was very short way to the land of Canaan but God didn't want them to go that way because because they would be faint hearted if they saw war that way as the Philistines were at war at this time and God didn't want his people to get discouraged. So notice it is the Lord who is leading them not Moses. But God led his people southward towards the Red Sea in the wilderness.

## Now back in Genesis 50:25 as Joseph was getting ready to die he made and oath with the children of Israel and told them that God was going to visit them and bring them up out of Egypt to take them to the land of Canaan. That they at that time when they went out of Egypt was to also take up his bones with them and not leave them there. And Moses made sure that that oath was kept as they carried the bones of Joseph out of the land as well. And they traveled from Succoth and camped out in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. And in the day time God lead them with a pillar of a cloud showing them the way that way to go. At night time God lead them with a pillar of fire.... :(:24:

Exodus 14

1. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2. Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.

3. For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.

4. And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so.

5. And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?

6. And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:

7. And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.

8. And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.

9. But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.

10. And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.

11. And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?

12. Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

13. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

15. And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

16. But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.

17. And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

18. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.

19. And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:

20. And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

21. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

22. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

23. And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

24. And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,

25. And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.

26. And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.

27. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

28. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

29. But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

30. Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.

31. And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses.

They are in the midst of one of the greatest miracles of all biblical times and they start the murmuring already (v. 11).

Boy I'd have a lot to say on that if only God didn't remind me all the time about my murmuring when I try to mention it. :):emot-nod:

Exodus 14

## The Lord speaks to Moses telling him to tell the children of Israel to turn and and set up camp at the place that was before Pihahiroth and in betwee Migdol and the sea again Baalzephon which this was right by the sea. God further told Moses that Pharaoh was who was keeping an eye on the children of Israel's were abouts that he would say that they have entangled or trapped themselves in the land they boxed themselves in the wilderness up against the sea.

4. And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so.

## God told Moses that again Pharaoh is going to try and defy my will and he is going to follow after my people to overtake them. And I like what God says here He says, "And I will be "honoured" upon him and all his army" in order that all of the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord. And the children of Israel did as Moses told them to do and set up their camp by the sea where God told them to.

## It was made known to Pharaoh how the Hebrew children had fled out of the land as God had told them to eat the passover lamb with their loins gird about with their staff in their hand and they shoes on they feet because when the time came they was to flee out of the land and that what they had done. And Pharaoh hears how they fled out the land and he got all stubborn and hateful again about the will of the Lord along with his people. As Pharaoh' s people said "Why" had they done this letting the children of Israel go from serving us. So Pharaoh has his chariot made ready and he leads his people along with him and gets 600 chosen or his best chariots and then gets all the other chariots in Egypt and puts captains over all of them.

## And in Pharaoh's hardeness towards God and his will he pursues and goes after the children of Israel to take them captive again as slaves and servants thinking there is no way out for them as they boxed themselves in by way of the sea. And Pharaoh was hardened by the fact that they fled out of the land of Egypt the way they did as it said prior to this chapter they spoiled the Egyptians when they went out of the land. So Pharaoh is seeing it as they went out with an "high" hand or in their pride and he is thinking he is going to show them who it is that has the high hand in the end. So he pursues after the children of Israel.

## Now the Egyptians are hot on the trial of the Israelites with his army of chariots and catches up with by the sea. Whenever Pharaoh got closer to them the children of Israel saw them marching up on em and they was sore afraid not knowing what was going to go down and they cried out to the Lord. That is a lesson in itself as so many times I fill my back is up against a wall and there isn't a way out of my situation in sight that I can see but calling on the Lord is a wise thing in these times to do for his help.

## After they call on the Lord they tell Moses cause no death angel touched us in the land of Egypt did you bring us out into the wilderness to be killed why have you done this to us. No doubt they was full of fear with their backs up against the sea and a massive army standing in front of them with no where in the world to go they were gonners in their minds at this point and believe Moses lead them out their just to be killed in the wilderness. Then after this they said didn't we tell you at the first to let us alone cause it was better for them to serve the Egyptians. And it would have been better even now than to die in the wilderness.

13. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

14. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

## But Moses told the people to Fear ye not but to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord which he was going to show them on that very day. Moses told them further that the Egytians that they see standing in their armies before your eyes that it will be that they would see them no more again forever. Because it was the Lord Himself that was going to fight for them and they would hold their peace and not have to fight at all. What a concept and principle I see in that. So many battles I've tried to fight all by myself seeing no hope or having no hope whatsoever when the Lord wanted to fight my battle for me and let me hold my peace. I admit that I have lost hold of my peace so so many times in my struggles. It is a trust issue I see here. I don't have that ability to good to trust people like I should cause of thing in life go through and it bleeds over into walk with God. But got to learn to trust God and just stand still and see what amazing things he gonna do before me. I wonder how many things I don't see cause of lack of trust in Him. as I reminded of the words the apostle Peter wrote regarding the holy women of old and how we will be called the daughters of Sarah "if we be not afraid with any amazement." again I wonder how many things I have missed for lack of trust.

## Then the Lord here says to Moses why are you crying to me speak to the chilren of Israel to "Go Forward." But you hold up thy rod over the sea and divide it so that the children of Israel can go over on dry ground right through the midst of the sea. And once again the Egyptians are going to be hardened cause of me setting you free and they are going to follow in the sea after you and that is when I will get "MY HONOUR" upon Pharaoh and his armies and they will know for a surety that I am the Lord, when I have gotten my honour on Pharaoh and his armies.

## The angel of God went out in front of the camp of Israel and then went behind them. And afterwards the pillar of the cloud went from being in front of them to being behind them staying there. And this pillar of the cloud stood in between the Egyptians and the Israelites camp. The cloud was darkness to the Egyptians but the cloud gave light in the night to the children of Israel so that the Egyptians and Israelites were seperated from one another that entire night.

## So Moses did what God said stretched out his rod and God caused the sea to roll by a strong east wind that entire night and it caused the land in the sea to dry up to dry land. And this must have been and awesone yet fearsome site to have seen as the waters of the sea was divided literally seperated. But the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea walking on dry ground. I can't even imagine the thoughts running through my head while walking right in the middle of the sea with walls of water on both sides of me. wow Now God had let all the children of Israel get into the midst of the sea and the Egyptians followed pursuit and goes in after them until they themselves are all in the midst of the sea with these wall of water on both their sides

## Now in the morning the time of the morning watch in the am hours of the morning the Lord himself looks on the Egyptians army through the pillar of cloud by fire Oh how I like this as God actually looks down through the pillar of fire the cloud by night and looks down at the Egyptian army and He troubled the army of Egypt. As God literally takes off the wheels of the chariots in Pharaoh army because they was pursuing so hard after the Lord's people. So God is going to slow them down by disableing their chariots. And it messed with the Egyptian army so bad that they said let us flee from the face of Israel because the Lord fighteth for them and is against us the Egyptians.

## The Lord told Moses after God took the wheels of their chariots to strech out his hand over the sea so that the water would come down again upon the Egyptians. So Moses obeyed and the sea turned back to it's strength whenever the morning appeared and the Egyptians tried to flee from the waters but couldn't as the Lord overthrew the Egyptian armies that was trapped in the middle of the sea and they was drown and not one of them lived to tell about it.

## But the while this was going on the children of Israel continued to walk forward on dry land through the midst of the sea as the waters remained a wall to them on their left and right side. And God saved his chosen people Israel that very day once and for all from the Egyptians as Israel saw with their own eyes the destruction of the Egyptians all their taskmaster and officiers was gone forever and God delivered them with a great deliverance. The word said that the Israelites literally saw the dead bodies of the Egyptians dead on the sea shore as they were washed up by the sea. And the people of Israel feared the Lord and believed the Lord and also believed Moses as they witnessed this great work of God on their behalf as God fought for them.

Exodus 15

1. Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

2. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.

3. The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

4. Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.

5. The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

6. Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.

7. And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.

8. And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.

9. The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

10. Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

11. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

12. Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.

13. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

14. The people shall hear, And be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.

15. Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.

16. Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.

17. Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.

18. The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.

19. For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.

20. And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.

21. And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

22. So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.

23. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.

24. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

25. And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,

26. And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

27. And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

This is a very Fore-telling verse is it not? God's mind at creation is incredible ;He created the tree that would sweeten the waters. And then we add the fact that this foreshadows a tree that is yet to come. Yah gotta love a God like that!

Exodus 15

## The time for song had broken out in the camp of Israel a time of a new song unto the Lord to be heard in the earth that never was heard before. A time of praise to the Lord who triumped gloriously as the horse and the riders the Lord had thrown into the sea. The camp of Israel sang that the Lord in "my" strength personallly and their song as the Lord had become their salvation and their God and they was going to prepare Him a dwelling place and said "My father's God" and I will lift him up.

## The Lord is a "man" of war and he will defend and fight on behalf of His chosen people. Pharaoh's armies were cast in the sea with all their leaders are drowned in the sea. The depths of the waters came crashing down on them and they sank to the bottom of the sea like a stone.

## It was the "right" hand the righteous right hand of God that had become glorious in power in their midst the righteous right hand of God had cut into pieces his enemy. And in the greatness and excellency of God the Lord overthrew the armies of Pharaoh that had rose up against the Lord. So God sent forth his wrath and consumed them just as quick as stubble. It was with the blast of God's own nostrils that causes the waters to dry up and caused the waters to stand still in walls on their left and right side. I like the description as it says concerning the sea that the waters were "congealed" in the heart of the sea. makes me think of how jello is congealed when put in the frigerator.

9. The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.

10. Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.

## God's ememies had said in their pride lifted up that, " I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil, But the Lord just blew the wind and the sea covered them and they sank as God lead them into teh sea.

11. Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

## Who is like you ar God their is none like God even among the idol gods of this world. Who is like God that is glorious in holiness and held in reverence to give the hounour that is due His name as it was He who did the wonders for them

12. Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.

13. Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.

## It was the Lord who stretch out his righteous right hand and swallowed up his enemies. It was tHe Lord who had mercy on whom he had mercy and lead them forth the children of Israel in whom he had redeemed and is leading them in His strength to a holy habitation speaking of tabernacle worship as in the book of Ephesian 2:18-22

## The people of the earth were going to here about the testimonies of these events and they are going to be afraid as sorrow is going to grip their hearts along the way into the promised land of Canaan as the Palestina the dukes of Edom and the mighty men of Moab will tremble and they shall possess the land. As all these countries here that are mentioned up ahead in the book of Numbers as they have to contend with all of these countries on their journey to Canaan land they will have encounters and opposition to them but the Lord will contiue to fight for them and the inhabitants in the land will slowly pass away.

## As fear and dread was going to fall on them as the contention with Jericho the walls came down if you'll recall as fear and dread was on them but the Lord fought for them by the greatness of His power and might and the Lord was going to do this until they got Into the land of Canaan. We will see this up ahead how the Lord caused his people to pass over to pass over the when the people of the countries didn't want to let them.

17. Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.

## For it was the Lord Himself that was going to lead his people to Canaan land and was going to plant them their. A place of their inheritance as God had given that land to Abraham. For it would be in the land of Canaan at Shiloh that the wildernes tabernacle would come to rest after their journey was over. And it was in Jerusalem the city God had chosen to build a Sanctuary a place where God's spirit could dwell that Solomon would build. as this reminds me of Romans 12:1-3 concerning us.

## It is the Lord that shall reign for ever as Pharaoh found it out the hard way and found the caught and they couldn't escape their judgment but God's chosen went on dry land through the entire sea. And Miriam is the song leader to the congregation of Israel leading in the praise and worship of God's people rejoicing in the Spirit and worshipping Him in truth. as the horse and rider was thrown int the sea.

## After all this glorious celebration and time of praises and worship to the Lord their God was over. Moses had lead the children of Israel from the red sea there to the wilderness of Shur as they had traveled for three days with out any water to drink and no doubt they so parched and dry as they couldn't find any water to drink. And as they kept on traveling they came to a place called Marah but the waters at this place was unfit to drink from they was poison water in other words. And in their extreme thirst they began to murmur against Moses fussing with him over what was they going to do for something to drink

## And Moses cried out to God about the matter of having no good water to drink from. So God shows him a tree and when he throws it into the waters they was made drinkable again.

## And it was at this place "Murah" that God made a statute and an ordinance with them and tested them or proved them. As God had said if they would diligently hearken unto my voice and do that which is right in my sight and you will listen to my commandments and keep my statutes, Then I will not put none of theses diseases upon you which I previously brought on the Egyptians for I am the Lord that healeth thee. For God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. and do what is right in the Lord's sight.

27. And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

## After the children of Israel had left Murah and refreshed themselves from the waters they started journeying once again and they traveled down to a place called Elim where there was 12 different wells of water and 40 palm trees at so they set up camp by these wells of water..........

Gotta go to chicago for a week on business so I'll post 7 chapters, please keep up while I'm gone.

Exodus 16

1. And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.

2. And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:

3. And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

4. Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

5. And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.

6. And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the Lord hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:

7. And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?

8. And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.

9. And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the Lord: for he hath heard your murmurings.

10. And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud.

11. And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

12. I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God.

13. And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.

14. And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

15. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.

16. This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.

17. And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.

18. And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.

19. And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning.

20. Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them.

21. And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted.

22. And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.

23. And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the Lord: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

24. And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein.

25. And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the Lord: to day ye shall not find it in the field.

26. Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

27. And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.

28. And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

29. See, for that the Lord hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.

30. So the people rested on the seventh day.

31. And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

32. And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commandeth, fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.

33. And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the Lord, to be kept for your generations.

34. As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

35. And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.

36. Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
