Homosexual Pride Event Assaults Children

Gay Pride Virginia presented its Pride Fest at the 17th Street Farmers Market in the City of Richmond on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006.

Life and Liberty Ministries was there to share the Gospel with the attendees.

The event sponsors stated the following on the Gay Pride Virginia website,

"The event will be family friendly so feel free to bring the kids for face painting, balloons and magic! Vendors and food and beverage stands

and will be set up throughout the marketplace for shopping along with many other attractions and activities that will cater to all members of

the GLBT community."

There were many children in the crowd and near the stage as one of the performers, a cross dressed man by the name of Lady Bunny, presented

the most obscene and vulgar performance I have ever witnessed.

During the performances, many crude statements such as the following were made.

and offensive. [AGREED]

This is just a small sampling of the obscene statements were said from the stage in the presence of children at this event that was touted as being open to children. Many children were at the event with homosexual couples and other irresponsible parents.

Even the Richmond Times Dispatch ran an article stating the following,

"If the political conversations at the Gay Pride Virginia Festival didn't move people, the upbeat and often-vulgar musical medley from drag artist Lady Bunny probably did the trick.

In clear platform heels, a sparkly dress and sky-high blond hair, Lady Bunny's voice carried over the crowd that filled the 17th Street Farmers' Market yesterday afternoon."

On numerous occasions several Richmond Police Officers were approached and asked to do something to protect the children who were being

subjected to the vulgar display and they simply told us that if we didn't like it, we could leave.

"Gay Pride Virginia says that this was to be their "first annual" event. For the sake of the innocent children that were exposed to such vile

filth, I sincerely hope it's their last," stated Dennis Green, Director of Life and Liberty Ministries

Some people are hell bent on rolling in the mire and there is nothing we can do or say can change their minds. Many try to pluck then out of the fire,but they only hate you for it, maybe a gay pride rally is not the best place to try and wittness. I'm not saying that you shouldn't preach the gospel to homosexuals, but it's no secret about what goes on during those rallies. They say that 70% of the children in gay homes are molested, but the unjust scales weigh in their favor .The poor "innocent" gay parents cry discrimination while the real victims, the children receive the penalty for their sexaul sins. We are ever learning how depraved this country is becoming. Both courts and political systems are reflecting a lack of purity/morality that we once had.

It seems the more we christian speak out about these things the worse they get. They are not fighting against us, they are coming up against the Holy One. And we are not wrestling against flesh and blood....but against principalities,against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world,against spirital wickedness in the high places.

Think about how this is worded. It sounds like you are saying that 70% of the children IN gay households are molested. I am sure you meant to say: Child molestation occurs in 70% of gay households.

Now, to get back on track. That is disgusting and reprehensible and I cannot believe parents would even allow their kids to attend such a controversial gay rally. This was politics not entertainment. As long as the gay community is forcing it's detestable lifestyle on us, we need to oppose it everywhere we can, one way to oppose it, is to boycott any event sponsored by gay activists.

thoughts:

a) show me the statistic that says that "70% of children in gay households are molested."

b) i get being offended by lady bunny. if the event was billed as "family friendly," a lot more discretion should have been shown in putting together the entertainment for the event. however, there is merit in pointing out that it if you didn't want to be there, there was no reason for you - or your kids - to stay. attending the festival means your presence is voluntary.

now tell me that its okay that my little cousins and siblings had to drive through a mile of protestors from local churches on the side of the road holding up huge signs of mutilated post-abortion fetuses right by their windows. parents cant do ANYTHING to control that situation, but i would argue that it's even more upsetting and harmful for small children.
