The Human race is the only race we should marry in, we can not marry martians from mars. God didn't limit his people to ethnicity. They shouldn't marry those who are not Christians otherwise they will not be like minded.

Most people in America are mixed. I'm white, but I have Cherokee native american indian in me too. My husband has two grandmothers from 2 different indian nations; Cherokee and Apache. His mother and father raised them "white" chose to leave behind the culture. My children don't need to identify with their heritage, we need to identify with Christ. The really cool thing is that we live very close to where the "Trail of Tears" began; where white man drove the Cherokee from the land; Hello, we're back.

Moses' wife was a dark-skinned woman.

It has also been concluded that Solomon was in love with a black woman, although since his Song of Songs is mostly allegorical, it's usually a matter of opinion. He wrote, "Your skin is black like the tents of Kedar."

There is nothing at all wrong with, or against God's Word, to marry a woman or a man of another race.

I agree with Ovedya . . . There is nothing wrong with marrying someone of another race.

Hosea 1:2 says, "When the Lord began to speak by Hosea, the Lord said to Hosea: "Go take yourself a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry, for the land has committed great harlotry by departing from the Lord."

If God allowed; even instructed; one of His own to marry a harlot, what makes us think He would disapprove of different races marrying each other today? Now some would say that harlotry in this scripture is speaking of spiritual harlotry, but God still instructed one of His own to take a wife of harlotry; regardless of if He was speaking of the physical or the spiritual. Wow! That sort of tells me that when God said to marry your own kind, He wasn't necessarily talking about race or religion. So, what was He talking about? That's where I am uncertain.

My daughter just married a man whose father was English and mother Japanese. All the Japanese relations came to the wedding and there were some lovely kimonos. My husband and I found we got on really well with his Dad and Mum and count them as friends. So here's one Mum who isn't against mixed race marriages, although I'm not sure what MY mother would have said (being of the war generation) but that's something else!

My Uncle married a Japanese woman and Ohhhh, things were not good for them. I have only seen Aunt Setsuko a few times, and I have to keep in contact with my cousin Ruthie through the email. Eventually everyone cooled off, but they'd been married over ten yr by that time and had only gone "home" once, when Ruthie and I both were about 3. For years afterwards, every time any of the cousins came "home" to see grandpa, he would get Ruthie's picture, point to it and ask us who she was.

Uncle Ed is now deceased and Ruthie is in her forties. I've only seen her twice, when I was a child. She lives in oregon and I in Sc and right now we are both broke. We are both saving to go to the family reunion the same year. Kinda sad. all of our other cousins are aquainted with each other and close, none of us know Ruthie well at all.

Numbers:

And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of the Cushite woman whom he had taken. For he had taken a Cushite woman. 2 And they said, Has Jehovah spoken only by Moses? Has He not also spoken by us? And Jehovah heard. 3 And the man Moses was very meek, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.

Moses' wife believed to have had dark complextion was spoken against by the the instigator (apparently Miriam who lead the instigation since her name is mentioned first) in which case Miriam was punished. Numbers 12.

Yes. Miriam rebelled against Moses, who was God's deputy authority on the earth. Therefore, God struck her with leprousy (Num. 12:10-15). In the Scriptures leprousy represents disobedience and rebellion against God.

:emot-dance: What exactly are you saying?

She was a shame (no doubt and understandably) because she spoke against Moses' wife whom was a Cushite woman.

Numbers:

Has He not also spoken by us? And Jehovah heard. 3 And the man Moses was very meek, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.

10And the cloud turned away from the tent. And, behold Miriam was leprous as snow! And Aaron turned toward Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous! 11And Aaron said to Moses, Oh my lord, I beg you, do not lay sin upon us, by which we have done foolishly, and by which we have sinned. 12 I pray, do not let her be as one who is dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb. 13And Moses cried to Jehovah, saying, O God, I pray, please heal her.

14 And Jehovah said to Moses, If her father had but spat in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? She shall be shut out seven days at the outside of the camp, and afterward she shall be brought in. 15 And Miriam was shut out at the outside of the camp seven days, and the people did not pull up stakes until Miriam was brought in.

Rebellion is rebellion. Miriam should have known better than to rebel against God's appointed representative.

Did she speak against Moses because of his appointment or because of his wife? Had she not spoken against his wife would she have been ashamed with leprousy? :emot-dance:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
