My older sister is 18.  (She'll be 19 on May 2nd!)  After she graduated from high school she moved in with her boyfriend.  They'd been dating for about 6 months.  His name was Eric, but his nick name is Elf.

Elf lived about 45 minutes away, so when Ronna left, it was like she'd disappeared to me.  My parents went to see her about once a week, but I never really got to go.

My mother never liked Elf because he had alot of peircings (I believe the count at one point was 56 in his face alone?).  She always said that he had to be being mean to Ronna.  I never believed it because Ronna loved him so much.  Ronna always had a tendency to find lovable guys that I always looked at like brothers or best friends.  So I was alwaysnice to Elf, and always gave him my faith.  I never thought in a million years he was actually being mean to her.  Never did the thought cross my mind until they were staying with us one weekend..

They'd stayed with us before.. I guess I'd just never noticed it.. Or I guess maybe I didn't want to.  One day they were laying on the couch taking a nap together and all of a sudden she fell in the floor.  I thought they'd just tried to adjust to get comfortable and she'd missed the edge.  But she jumped up and gave me this look like.. This scared little baby looks when it's heard a loud noise.  A deer in headlights.. I'll never forget that look.  I feel so bad for not doing anything that day.  I just stared at her.. Like I didn't know what was going on.  I didn't know.  But in alot of ways I think I did know.  He was being mean to her.

Later Ronna told me that he had shoved her off the couch.

Almost a year since they'd started dating, Ronna came home.  I didn't expect it.  One day everything was fine.  Mom hated Elf, Dad hated Eld, Ronna loved Elf, I just didn't care.  And the next day.. Ronna was curled up on the washer crying out to my mother and I.. "Why does he do that?  I don't understand what I do to make him like that.."  She was like a little kid who'd just gotten a spanking.

My mother looked frantically for a place to get Ronna help.  Our insurance is good, but alot of places it didn't cover.  Finally she found ONE hospital that our insurance covered FULLY.  It was ONE BLOCK away from Elf and Ronna's apartment!  Ronna signed herself into the mental section on the hospital for a 7 day treatment.  She couldn't sign herself out any minute before the 7 days was over.  That was the contract she signed.  She was diagnosed with codependency.. Meaning she couldn't function unless she was making Elf happy.  It didn't matter what kind of torment she was going through, as long as he was happy.

I guess you guys are thinking.. "What does this have to do with demons while you're asleep?"

Well.. Elf set Ronna's hair on fire, stuck hot fire pokers to her stomach, cut the clothes off of her when she tried to leave, called her a fat [bad words inserted here] (Ronna is 5'4 and only 100 lbs normally..], and she would sit on top of her, holding her face tightly, screaming at her...

She said once that the only way to get him off of her was to start calling out of God.  I think Ronna was saved a million times while she lived in Cleveland with Elf.  I thank God everyday that my sister wasn't killed.  She was so fragile for so long after she left him.  It was like my big sister had shrunken back into her childhood.  Now she's back to normal, and I thank God everyday I have her back..

But what I can't understand is why Elf would only back off when she was calling out, "Jesus, oh Jesus, save me. Don't let him kill me.  Oh, God, please!"

Anyone else believe in demon possession?

I hate to give the Devil credit..  But he's the only source of hate that I can think of.  And Elf is definately hate.

I believe in demon possession, FFC15. It is of course possible that Elf is possessed, but it is just as possible that he is just a hateful wicked person. I wouldn't be able to judge unless I personally met him and discussed spiritual things with him, though.

I am very glad your sister has gotten away from him, and sorry that she got mixed up with someone like that in the first place. Is your sister a born again Christian? If not, I would like to know so I can start praying correctly for her, ok. If she is has she repented of the sin of moving out and living with this fellow (without the benefit of marriage)? Her spiritual condition is just as important as her physical condition (actually more important).

I fear that Ronna is only Christian when she's in need of the Lord's hand.  She's stayed away from Elf for a while, but she still goes and visits him maybe 3 times a month.  She says a part of her is still in love with him, but she knows she can't be with him.  She's also in with drugs.  Although she says she's only smoking pot nowadays.  (Which, is very bad in my eyes, but it's SO MUCH better than what she was going a year ago that I can't help but feel happy that atleast she's doing something that comes from the ground, instead of from a meth lab..*sighs*)

I would appreciate ANYONE praying for her.  Just pray to keep her safe and ask the Lord to find his way into her heart.

Also, she mentioned my mother the other night that whil eshe was driving home from work she asked God if smoking pot was bad.. She asked him to give her a sign.  She said she wasn't expecting anything to happen when all of a sudden a bright pink light came up behind her car.  It scared her to death. lol She came straight to out house beating on the windows yelling for us to let her in.  At first my mother thought she was on something, but then she realized that Ronna was sober, and scared to death.  Does the Bible say anything about this?  Any idea??

About 7 years ago my husband (driver then not now) was driving a rig in the bushes (hauling for the pipe line) very late at night and he was very tired...anyway as he was driving along he noticed outside his driver side window this thing flying along side of his truck, this thing looked like a person but very evil looking, anyway this person turned his head very slowly to look at my husband and it gave him fear like you wouldn't believe. Thoughts started coming in his head like there was someone in the back sleeper ready to kill him he was starting to panic then he turned to the passenger window and saw a light, a bright light, and his fears left him and peace came over him. He really can't explain what had happened to him but he did experienced something...He Praises the Lord that his protection was over him that night.

Whoaaaa Shilo!  THAT was kind of wild, but I don't doubt anything anymore (like I once did) about the spirit world.  I believe if our LORD would take the veil off of our spiritual eyes just for 10-15 seconds what we'd see would floor us!  ;)

Was your husband saved when this event occured?

The "perfect" time to perform that type of attack by the Enemy!  That dog.....

He wants to steal the Word from us and kill us in our infancy...that's why I'll be glad when he is cast into the lake of fire!  I appreciate your response sis!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
