Hello,

I have read a lot of interpretations of what exactly the unforgivable sin really was, but I still have not come across one that addresses my situation. This has tormented me for 30 years. I was saved when I was about 6 years old. When I was about 9 years old I swore at the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and told them to get out of my life forever. It was just my temper speaking and it has bothered me ever since, stopping me from growing in my faith which I really am trying to do. Was this the unforgivable sin I committed? Please help. Thank You.

if you did the unforgiveable sin it wouldn't bother you so much. You wouldn't care. So I don't think you did it and satan is just lying to you.

No you did not commit the unforgiveable sin because you are bothered by having done this thing. The unforgivable sin is really tied to hardness of heart and that is not your case.

One bit of advice i really like... When Satan reminds you of your past; remind him of his future!

Pet, if you've asked for confessed this sin before the Father, repented, and asked Him to forgive you, He has. He'll never remember it or bring it up to you again, and if someone is bringing it up, it isn't God. It's Satan. Rebuke the thought in the name of Jesus and speak out loud that that memory has been covered by the blood of Jesus. It is no more.

What you are suffering from is not the unforgiveable sin, it is a trick of the enemy called condemnation he continually condemns our actions to God and us in order to cause us to feel hopeless and unforgiveable. To counter that God grants us the Holy Spirit which is about conviction not condemnation. Scripture also says to resist the devil and he must flee Take this struggle to the cross and leave it there. Turn your back on condemnation and face your convictions. If you have asked for forgiveness and have been honest about it it is done so go forward in joy. God Bless

Paul said "1Ti 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief."

So if Paul obtained mercy, we can too.

Please don't let the enemy use this against you any longer.

I thank you all very much for your replies. I have repented over this many times but the enemy kept putting doubts in my mind. I will now claim victory over this and not let satan use this against me any longer.

Thank you all!

This does tie into the thread about the Whole armour of God. This is where the Sword of The Spirit - the Word - is of most use to us. Knowing God's plan and the nature of satan gives us the foothold to deny condemnation.

One way of knowing if you are being Condemned or Convicted is in the nature of the two.

Condemnation (from Satan) is general and says "You are wrong or bad."

Conviction (from the Holy Spirit) is specific and says, "What you did is wrong or bad.

For there is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus. (rom. 8:1)

Is man damned only for the sin of rejecting Christ.

Men were originally damned for the first transgression, and if Christ had never come, they would have to pay the same penalty for sin as they will finally pay if they reject Christ. (Gen. 2:17; 3:1-19; Romans 5:12-21).

Rejection of Christ, then is not the penalty for eating of the forbidden fruit. The sin of rejecting Christ only seals their doom (John 3:16-18).

The word "sins" is used many times as the basis of mans judgment and punishment (Lev. 26:1-46; Isa. 59:2; Jer. 21:14; Hosea 12:2; Amos 3:6; Rev. 2:23; 20:11-15). If men were damned only for rejecting Christ, then this would be the only sin they would ever have to face at the judgment, but this is not true. Men will give account of every idle word and every sin (Matt. 10:41-42; 12:36, 37; 16:27; Rom. 1:29-32; 2 Cor. 11;15; Rev. 20:11-15; 22;12).

Christ died to make an end of sins and cleanse from all sin, and not only for the one sin of rejecting Him (Dan. 9:24; Matt. 26:28; 1 Cor. 15:3; Gal. 1;4; Heb. 1;3; 2:17; 9:28; 2 Pet. 2:24; 3:18; 1 John 3:8; Rev. 1;5). In other words, God will forgive all sin upon repentance and acceptance of Christ. The unpardonable sin would be the total rejection of Jesus Christ and the absolute refusal to ever repent of this sin.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
