The nun who brings my grandparents communion weekly talks about her children and grandchildren. Unfortionately my grandparents do not believe the truth about accepting Jesus as savior. They believe that communion and being good catholics will get them to heaven. So sad

it is written that we are not to accept (or welcome or even listen to) into our house anyone that carries ( teaches ) a different gosple then that of Jesus Christ....... and when they leave, we are not to bid them God Speed ( we are not to bless them )

is kissing the Koran teaching or carrying or aproving a different gosple then that of Jesus Christ?????? I would believe that it is condoning it.... when you kiss a friend, or another person, that is a way of blessing them, or accepting them, or welcoming them into our house.....

if a person wants to accept the Koran as gosple ( kissing it is doing that, and accepting it as it is, and blessing it ) then i will have nothing to do with them when they have already had the Truth given to them.... .I shake the dust from my feet..... and will depart from that house.

Wrong!! What is necessary is the preaching of the gospel of salvation of grace through faith in Christ Jesus. For the pope to run around kissing the Koran while he is conspicuoulsy silent regarding the Muslims' culture of death just shows which "god" the pope is serving. John Paul II needs to repent of his sin and ask Jesus into his heart. He needs to make Jesus the Lord and Saviour of his life; he needs to believe the gospel and cease trusting in his rituals and religious status.

Muslims need Christ. Jesus did not teach us to embrace all men. Jesus made a lot of enemies because he preached the truth to them. Jesus taught us to "Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost." Also, it says in Luke 24:46-47: and He said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day; and that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem."

The Muslims need the gospel preached to them. Respecting their religion is worthless. I do not respect Islam. Islam is false religion based upon the worship of an ancient moon god. The worst thing you can do is to give Islam any sense of validity by "respecting" it. Islam needs to fall to the preaching of the cross.

How about instead of the pope kissing the koran he made that Muslim cleric kiss the Holy Bible? Why didn't the Muslim cleric do kind in return by kissing the Bible? I sincerely doubt that any Muslim anywhere would kiss the Bible for any reason.

This is not a time for a christian to hesitate and show reserves.

The only way the Pope had to reach the hearts of muslims was to show respect with no reserves.

Only this kind of respect taken to the ultimate consequences will be able to heal humanity at this stage.

a person can show respect to the office, and to a persons beliefs with out comprimising ones own self...

I know some Vets, that have all but denounced the USA.

they fought, were wounded, maimed, even watched as their tent mates, their fellow marines, soldiers, sailors, and airmen died, being tortured and all to continue to allow us to have the freedoms we choose, only to come back and find that they are dispised, spit on, beat, cursed, and forsaken..... have seen some at a ball game and the national anthem played and they stand, they may or may not cover their heart, they do still respect the position and the symbolizms of the USA, but still do not bow to those that have rejected them..... I may not agree with what Bush is doing, I may not agree with what Clinton did, or the sr Bush, or Reagan, or carter or nixon or or or .... but the position is respected..... I do not bow to the position, I will not kiss the feet of the person in that position, I only bow to the Lord God...... which I do daily....... God is my Lord, God is my ruler, God has my interest at hand..... there has not been a single politician that has my personal interest in mind...... no, not one....

the Koran does not have my interest in mind, nor does it speak of me or for me, the Bible was written with Me in mind, it was written for Me so that I may know God..... that I may have a way that I can see God a way that I can gain admittance to the Kingdom of God...... the koran dont, the president dont, the queen of england dont, the president of iceland dont, God is the only one, and God gave His word to me so that I can come closer to Him...

No, I do not believe I have to bow to some one elses believes or books or statues or leaders, I can show respect with out doing that, for the appearance of doing wrong is not what God tells us to do, but to refrain from doing things that could be seen as doing something wrong, including bowing to something that is not of God, for that is saying it is ok to worship this way, that is saying that it is ok to follow these teachings, it is condoning sin......... even if that person did not ( in their heart ) worship a statue, that is what is perceived...

if what you do causes some one else to stuble and fall, then even if what you are doing is not actually a sin, but causes some one else to sin, then you have lead them astray, you may even cause that person to be lost....

we are to be an example, as was stated, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and even Daniel did not bow to anything or anyone else then God, God alone.......

they did not even make an attempt to hide their own worship of God.... they did not bend to society what so ever.... to have saved themselves from being put thru the furnace or the lions den, all they had to do was one simple thing, just pretent......(yep, just pretend ) to do as they were suppose to do..... just make an appearance of that, they didnt really have to worship the statue or the gods..... just pretend..... but they didnt..... they stood their ground....... they would not comprimise their stand.... not one little bit... not even for a split second....

should I bow to the statues of mary, christopher, michael, paul, peter, james, joseph...... should I bow and worship a man, or another doctrine or gosple other then that which was given me of God??? should I allow another mans teachings to tell me i have to bow and appear to worship a statue wether I do or not ...... should I pray to dead people???? or to the one and only Living God?

should I try and change Gods mind as to who can get to Heaven? after they die???? once a person dies, their fate is sealed..... that is betweent them and God, and there is nothing I can do to change that..... not one single thing..

I can not pour purfumed oil on them and say you are now in heaven... that is bogus.... I can intervien while they are alive, to have their hearts changed, but the choice is ultimatly theirs, they have to make the choice to take Jesus or deny Him..... to accept Him or reject Him.... I can notdo that for them, nor can you or any other man....
