Brothers and Sisters in Christ! Now we are coming to an end of our 30 Days of Prayer, it was suggested by Dare that we share how it has positively affected us. Please, post all your thoughts and praises here in this thread. You don't have to reveal your prayer partners and I wouldn't without their permission. The vigil actually last until Saturday, but I thought it would be a good idea to begin now. And, if y'all don't mind, I'll be the first. :D

Y'all all know that I lost my only child last February. I accepted it early on and drew closer to the Lord through all of the grief and anger. I even suffered through a period of depression. I got through all of those things, but have had a heaviness in my heart all along that I couldn't get over. I felt, well, pushed down. Sad, but not depressed. It's hard to describe, but I was wounded and it wasn't quite healed. During the 30 days that went away. The heaviness left. I have always had my joy, the joy that the Lord gives us. But I got back my happiness. I had no idea how many different levels there are to grief. What a journey. Thank you Father for bringing me through and thank you Lord for my wonderful prayer partner! The other thing is my still being on the boards. I believe it is also due to prayers. Like I said back then, if the Lord sends "rain into my heart to stay, I'll stay. Otherwise, I'll go." Well, I'm still here. :D

Something else I must tell you guys. When I was in prayer about who to place with whom, I just felt not right about picking someone to pray for me. So, instead I asked a brother to pray for me but not daily, like he was doing with the prayer partners. Just to pray for me on occassion. Then I went about notifying everyone else. But, then I get a PM from someone asking if he could pray for me! Our Father did that!! I wanted prayer so badly, but I just didn't feel right about placing me with someone. Our Father sent someone that I would not have expected!! I was so touched over it I cried. I really did. :D:b: You really touched my heart - and you know who you are! :b::b:

Hi Trav,

I would like to offer my praise to God for this prayer thread that was started by Dare and yourself.

When the topic was brought up, I wanted so much to join in but I was dealing with an emotional roller coaster during the week it was brought up, going through depression one minute to being ecstatic the next.

I was even starting to miss Church for a couple of weeks there, and was afraid I would do whomever I was given to pray for an injustice.

So I decided I would pray for several as well as continue my search for truth.

Well anyway I thought maybe I should at least request that someone pray for me, but said well that wouldnt be fair, well I get this private message one day from Faith 90120 :t2::t2: (cant think of the last four numbers) saying she asked Trav for a name to pray for.

Well needless to say I was as choked up as Trav.

And my prayer was for steadfastness in my walk, and not be controled by my emotions.

Well Faith you are one awesome prayer warrior, not only have my emotions been in Check, my joy has returned and my fellowship with the Lord has been beautiful. God has answered some questions I had regarding doctrinal issues and has shown Himself in ways that are very warm.

I am once again able to worship at Church, without saying Im too tired tonight or I'll go next week-- God has reenergized me and has given me back a spirit of love and peace.

I have a lot more to say about me, but I want to direct my attention to Him and give Him the praise and glory He so rightly deserves, He is a very loving God full of mercy and surrounded with truth.

Thanks for your prayers Faith and for thank you Trav for submitting my name, I would very much like to participate more in the next one. But I do want you all to know you have been in my prayers, what a great family, this church of God.

I would also like to ask the boards to lift George and his wife up in prayer in these very trying times in their ministry.

In Jesus

Kevin

Greetings again,

It was Faith0263 that prayed for me and again my thanks. I was having some troubles spiritually as many of us were around the time that Dare suggested this thread.

What a powerful tool against the enemy.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
