The whole point of the poem is to show that you can not change the bread into the body of Christ and you can not change the wine into His blood....for if you don't believe it try it your self.... :P take the test :o Don't be fooled by mans doings......For Let God Be True and Every Man A Liar

I agree.

No one ever said the priest physically turned the bread & wine into flesh & blood. Christ said the bread would be His flesh and the wine His blood. I simply take His word for it.

Of course, there's also the possibility that you can only believe in what has a material reality like God or Heaven or Hell :P.

Blessings to you all,

So wait a minute? Then if the priest is only to give to those who are Catholic for remission of sins?

Why then do they not allow divorcee's to partake of the communion? If they be in sin are they not Catholic and would by partaking they not have remission of said sin?

So do divorcee's automatically become not Catholic at divorce? Why therefore have them even attend the church?

Also what relic in the alter do you speak of?

How does one become Catholic? Or the true Church. As you say. Is there some writ of passage? Or must you just profess that Christ is the son of G-d?

I don't recall John going thru first Holy Communion?

I am not asking to be sly. I am asking because people had better really ask how does one become a Christian? Is it by Faith? Or is it by some legalistic profession of doctrine and practice?

How was Abraham just? What was the heart of David? Why not Saul? How was Noah upright in all his generation? Why was Enoch just?

Peace,

Dave

Brother Dave,

The answer is faith, brother!

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." (Gal. 2:20)

""The priest can bring the already consecrated bread to a home or hospital but that doesn't mean he consecrates it in the hospital or home.

The bread & wine can only be consecrated in the altar because every altar has a sacred relic. ""

Really??? what is the sacred relic that the alter at your church has?

where do they get the relic for a new church being built?

who determins if it is a sacred relic??

i bet the church buys their wafers at the same place I buy the wafers or that most churches buy their wafers....

what is the difference between the wafers that is used in the Catholic church? and the ones used in the Protestant churches????

as far as giving it to some one who does not belong to the church, did Jesus say do this only if you are a member of the church? or did Jesus say do this in rememberance of me???

Who is "Ordained" to be a minister???? and Who ordains the ministers?

just a few things to think about.....

like i told my ex-wife, when she would start hounding me about not having a degree..... that piece of paper and a dolllar will get you a cup of coffee that piece of paper is only worth what the person put into it, and then maybe not even that.... besides, I get my coffee for 30 cents.

she kept trying to say that she was better then me cause she had a degree ( a B.A. ) with a total of 135 credit.... i am carrying over 200 at this time.....

so, like I said, what weight is that piece of paper to ordain some one???

just cause they are ordained also, dont mean they are men or women of God.... the true Ordenation comes from GOD, not man..... we are all called to His service.... eache and every one of us....

so now, who actually consecrates/sanctifies the wafers?

mike

Mike,

Why do you ask questions? Do you really want me to answer them? If I tell you, you will just laugh and turn your SAVED little nose up at them. You ask so that you may feel righteous in argueing the answers, not so that you may think about the answers given.

To all,

You people have nothing to talk about unless you are bashing catholics. You hate religion, but your religion is just anti-Catholicism. I guess that is ok. Catholics haven't been on this site much lately and all you can think about is anti-catholicism.

Have any of you ever read your bible without constantly trying to prove Catholisicm wrong? I bet you haven't. Your thoughts are constantly consumed with anti-catholicism while reading scripture, and YOU ALL KNOW IT.

You people constantly bash Catholics but at the same time completely dismiss your divorces and using BIRTH CONTROL.

Someone please tell me, how does the pill work, Physiologically? ALL OF THEM, IN THEIR DIFFERENT FORMS. Do you even know? I bet you don't, and you dang sure don't want me to tell you, because then you would have to justify yourselves in MURDER of your own children. How do you think God feels about that.

Peace in Christ Jesus,

I have said it before I was Catholic .

In this vein I have quite alot of feelings for you all. I ask these questions not to bash but to provoke thought. The same thought that liberated me.

I am not bashing you rather Loving you. The act of Love at the cross set you free brethren. Liberty as in the above post.

Whose wife will she be in heaven? The divorcee?

If you knew what this means? I desire mercy and not sacrifice! You would not have condemned the guiltless! (divorcee)

He took His finger and drew in the dirt! He wrote down my sins and I went home convicted! Amen!

Peace,

Dave

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
