I Samuel 19:9

This is sort of a revealing of end times thing. Or hidden thing. Just my opinion folks. But look at what the Lord says here specially the words in red. Then read Revelation. Being in the walk with God is a challenge, sort of like a marriage. When you are married, you must trust, cherish, communicate, pamper, hold, kiss and respect, with loyalty, till death do you apart. Jesuschrist is the perfect example of free will & sinless nature, he sacrificed himself for his bride, and did all that was asked of his Father, without question, because in righteouness truth is therefore revealed, there is nothing created that was not created by him. Ecclesiates is a very good book to read as it describes life and vexation of spirit. God does not want robots, so how can free will be applied without choices, in this case evil or good. Also God hates fornicaton of the spirit, it can be called idolatry, and it could also be called adultery, for just like a spouse who commits adultery toward the other spouse, so can a human that goes after idols, or false Gods, so how can you know you are doing evil, if you are not made aware of it. This is my understanding only, I am not God's mind reader.

Isa 45:5 I [am] the LORD, and [there is] none else, [there is] no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

Isa 45:6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that [there is] none beside me. I [am] the LORD, and [there is] none else.

Isa 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these [things].

Isa 45:8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

Isa 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! [Let] the potsherd [strive] with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

Isa 45:10 Woe unto him that saith unto [his] father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

Isa 45:11 Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

Isa 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, [even] my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

Isa 45:13 I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

Isa 45:14 Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, [saying], Surely God [is] in thee; and [there is] none else, [there is] no God.

Isa 45:15 Verily thou [art] a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

Isa 45:16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together [that are] makers of idols.

Isa 45:17 [but] Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

Isa 45:18 For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else.

Isa 45:19 I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Isa 45:20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye [that are] escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god [that] cannot save.

Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring [them] near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? [who] hath told it from that time? [have] not I the LORD? and [there is] no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; [there is] none beside me.

Isa 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else.

Isa 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Isa 45:24 Surely, shall [one] say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: [even] to him shall [men] come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

Isa 45:25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

The next verses sort of explain of things which are not known or revealed.

There's a purpose for everything under the sun.

Jud 1:8 Likewise also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Jud 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Jud 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Jud 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Everything is for the Lord's pleasure. Look at the following verses, and marvel at God's power.

Isa 46:8 Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring [it] again to mind, O ye transgressors.

Isa 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else; [i am] God, and [there is] none like me,

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times [the things] that are not [yet] done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Isa 46:11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken [it], I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed [it], I will also do it.

Isa 46:12 Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that [are] far from righteousness:

Isa 46:13 I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

Just like a child, needs love, discipline and direction towards the Lord, so he might not sway in his latter years, so also God the father guides his children towards righteouness.

Some things cannot be explained by our human minds, for God is much bigger and righteous, we can barely understand the visible and revealed things, how much more the invisible and hidden. Do not question the allmighty, for who can counsel him? but chose the path to life, be strong and do not shudder, stand strong with Jesuschrist, life is full of choices, but only one is not vanity, Salvation!!!

Thanks guys those were all good answers. I got one on the thing about Saul speaking to Samuel from a child of all people last night. He said, "Obviously the dead can be brought back to speak and be seen by those who call upon them, other wise the scripture would have been written differently. But God doesn't say these things are not possible, or they don't exist. What God does say is don't tamper with it, don't go there. As my children keep hands off." I thought that was a great explanation. It made me think of the horoscopes in the paper, they are there but I don't read them just because God has told me not to have anything to do with that stuff. I don't question their existence I just don't have anything to do with it.

As far as God sending evil spirits to do His will, well I'm just going to have to be ok with I don't know.

Evil didn't come about until satan tried to take over God and brought 1/3 of the angels with him.  Until that moment there was no evil mentioned so I don['t think God created it.

So evil just appeared out of nowhere? :upsided: Isn't it written that God Created the Heavens and the Earth? Isn't it written that God created the Angels? Isn't it written that God Created everything? Where does the emotions come from? Didn't God Create it? God Created a will for all of us and what does that will consist of good and evil....it is our choice as to whether we do good or evil....If evil was not created by God and only good then it is an unbalanced creation for there is right and wrong...Balance is the key word...what Does God say about balance?

Proverb 16:11

A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work.

So if God did not create evil where is the balance?

hello Shilo and all

I do not believe God created evil But I do believe God created the possibility of evil. that possibility is a result of free will.

When the creation rebelled against the will of the Creator then and only then did evil come into existence. It was not God who created evil. It was his creation (namely satan and his angels) who created evil by their rebellion against God. Adam and eve also had this ability and through their rebellion they too created evil on earth.

But, Adstar, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was already there before Adam and Eve chose to partake of it.

Who created the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?

One Accord we went round and round on this a while back and no amount of scripture can get through to those who want to believe that God is just love. Some are just simply too uncomfortable with the concept that a Holy God would create evil. I personally because scripture says so believe God created evil. And I also believe He did it simply to create an environment of choice. God knew all things ahead of time, and had He not created evil we would just be here and this would be heaven. Before we can go to heaven God needed to put us through a test, it's called reality on planet earth. If there was no existence of evil there would be no test, no trials, no things to overcome, nothing. God desires to have a relationship with those who choose Him and what better way to bring this about. I could line up a ton of scripture here to make my point but those who can't stomach this will not even consider it.

Saying that God created evil is not the same as saying God is evil, or God does evil it just says he created it. Heck he created us capable of great evil, so obviously is He created us with that capacity in us then He created beings were are capable of evil and in the same essence created evil just by creating us. Ok nuff said, this is probably going to turn into another one of those long debates.

I love ya One Accord simply because you are willing to look at what is true rather than what you are comfortable with believing.

Teri:

I have wrestled with this one hard, mostly because of the wrath of God pictured all throughout the books of the prophets, and some very difficult scriptures to swallow that I encounter in the OT.

I have simply had to come to the place of 'God is just'.

I don't understand why there is suffering, which is the result of evil, why He allows suffering of even innocent children, why people who love Jesus are given over to persecution unto bloodshed and even death, rather than protected by His hand.

But I know that no other religion can answer this either, and I have to believe there is a higher purpose hidden in the evil, the violence, the suffering that is for our ultimate good, that He is just, He is righteous, and His judgements are pure.

I embrace His love, I fear His wrath. His wrath quickens the conscience and purifies the spirit.

Thanks Teri, your post was just what I have always believed...God Created evil doesn't mean that He is evil...He created it for a purpose....CHOICE...we have to choose between good and evil...God didn't want to have robots He wanted people to choose Him over evil....He allows things to happen in our lives to bring others to believe in Him...seeing a child suffer or anyone for that matter is hard to deal with...But put God in control and many miracles will happen....maybe not with the healing of the child but through the suffering of this child it will bring someone to Christ....when one person comes to believing in the Lord Jesus Christ there is rejoicing in heaven for the road to heaven is narrow and not many will be traveling that road but all will have the choice to either accept Jesus or reject Him how he brings us to Him is by our choices...only God sees the whole picture....we only see the pieces of the puzzle...Just trust in the Lord and my heart goes out right now because it is so hard to trust in something that you don't see but when you do trust in God wow what an awesome feeling you get when you see the ball rolling in His perfection...Glory be to Our God...the God of Israel...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
