Man, I respect your service and mean no disrespect regarding whatever disability you may have. I am somewhat acquainted with physical disabilities, and as is evidenced by number of posts, it has never slowed me down. Regardless of what your particular ailment may be, it is your opinions I take issue with, that's all.

This was no giant move to the left. Most of the Dems elected were on the conservative side of their party. Its going to be interesting to see how effective Speaker Pelosi will be with her San Fransico values verse the middle American values that got some of the Dems in office. Also, the world is going to find out just how anti-war the left in this country really are. Are they really going to pull out of Iraq or was it just a political football for them to kick only until they got into office?

Yes most of the Dems elected were on the conservative side of their party, yet I don't find that surprising. What I truly believe is those that got elected are not truly even the slightest conservative at all. I believe that they just switched tactics by altering their suites so that

they could regain control of the house by stepping on the backs of blinded republicans looking for change, but can they really hold off showing their true colors till the 2008 elections.

Hillary is doing her utmost best to convince voters that she is a conservative Dem.

I don't think she'll run; most Democrat leaders are looking for a more moderate candidate. Look for an Evan Bayh-type. Hillary is just too liberal and not trusted. Plus she's a women I still maintain this country is not ready for a woman president.

Honestly, the Democrats will probably put out a liberal. The republicans should play it smart and use a moderate, like McKain.

I think the results would have been a little more clear cut but they really should hold all Federal elections on weekends or declare election days as federal "holidays" or something. I personally do no like how the political "party" system has facilitated polarising the American people. There were even comentators on television and radio who were claiming that some of the democrats being elected were "conservative". I would like to know who or what they are using as a baseline to make such statements. Conservative compared to whom? Hilary Clinton or Nancy Pelosi? I still believe that majority of Americans' core values are in line with my own it's simply that those that are running for office and are being elected to represent us are not in tune with the American people and vote based on the amount of influence they can gain. Our political system is nothing more than a game of power, influence and prestige and has little more to do with actuall problems of the citizenry than does the aftertaste of a fruit punch bought in a gallon jug at the supermarket.
