RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION

Hi gang,

This is a story that is unbelievable but happening at my place of work.

A co-worker was married before being saved and divorced. She has 2 beautiful daughters 7-9.

The father has tried to get custody of the kids but to no avail.

Recently he refused to take the kids home after his weekend visitation and filed a police report that the mom was hitting the kids. Prov 13:24 "He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly"

She never "beat" her children, just used to rod gently to raise them properly.

The dad has twisted this and told the police that the mom is hitting them because the bible says so. That they have to "conform to her religion". Making them say their prayers and read the bible. That she is under the "influence" of her pastor.

The court ordered an injunction keeping her away from the kids until a court date for Dec!

The are calling her a religious zealot who is a danger to her kids.

Can you believe this in 2003!!! This is happening?

The times are getting very trying for us Christians! We need to pray pray pray!

I will stand together with you in prayer. Our FATHER knows all things and whatever is the matter in this case I am personally praying it will be worked out in HIS will.

I know you seemed rather surprised that this was happening in 2003, but I would recommend respectfully, that you might try to keep up with the "Executive Orders" that come down from the President's personal pen annually. Right under our very noses laws/orders are being signed into effect which strongly/negatively impact our Christian faith. Stay tuned....it's not going to get any better the closer we get to the LORD's return.

I have to agree with Wisdom, this type of thing should be expected from here on out. Our school system has what is called One World Religion week where people from all different kinds of faith come to the school and speak to the kids about their beliefs. I spoke with her every night after she heard these people tell their stuff and went over why and what was wrong with each. At the end of the week she was given an assignment to write a paper on a belief system. Well she wrote it on what she knows, christianity. She was given an F because it was not a presented religion during this week. When I showed the teacher her own directions for writing the paper and that it didn't specify that it be one of these religions she said everyone knows you can't talk about Jesus in school in word or writing. I went to administration about it but always hit closed doors. She was given the opportunity to rewrite the paper but could only get fifty percent of the grade because it would be considered late. When I tried to speak with other christian parents about challenging this they didn't want to bother with it. So we just dropped it. All I could tell my daughter was that worse persecution than this is coming and we need to pray for endurance to get through it because we can't stop it, and at the end Jesus will come.

Tell your friend she has people out here praying that her daughter will be safely returned to her. It is a terrible thing when a child falls into the hands of an atheist.

helpme, I will be in prayer for your co-worker and her daughters. I will also pray the husband gets saved.

I think I have already welcomed you to the boards. But just incase I didn't, welcome is in order and it never hurts to welcome someone twice.

Teri, I am so sorry to hear this happened to your daughter and that the other Christian families would not stand up with you.

Contact the American Center For Law and Justice and they should be able to help you. This junk won't stand under the Constitution and they have successfully defended this type of issue before.

this is true,

it will be happening more and more,

even in the little towns of the so called "Bible belt"

had a woman at a store, that the child of hers was acting out the entire time, in such a way, that the woman forgot something, and realized it at the checkout line.....

she asked the woman behind her if she would mind watching her child for a min while she ran down to get this one item....... the woman said not a problem ( cause she knew here ) when mom took off, the kid grabbed a candy bar, and started eating it ( off the shelf )....

the woman watching tryed to get the kid to put it back and not open it, but when it was opened, she tryed to keep her from eating it ( as much as a person dare do with a child that is not theirs)

mom got back, took the candy bar from the child, swated the kid on the butt ( only once ) and when mom got thru the check out line and went out side, there was the police there, and they cuffed her and took her and the child off, after loading the groceries in her car and locking it.....

it turns out that a clerk called the police and turned her in for child abuse for smacking the kid once on the butt.....

the problem is, once some one is turned in, they have to be investigated.... which means they are treated as a criminal until the findings come back that they are clear.... more like GUILTY until proven otherwise......

I understand that the store had to replace some items of groceries over this, but other then that, there was no appology......

Tell MJ, to stand for a fight, stand her ground.
