Please stop accusing me of stupid crap, and quit putting words into my mouth. Grow up.

:o:24::24::24:

You seem to have no problem putting motives into the Words and Heart of Brother Paul who gave his life in the service of God!

Real smart to strut and Pontificate and mock God's Truth!

The God you proclaim belief in.

And all the while, you state you have no faith?

Did I miss something here......hummmmm

If I choose to follow Jesus. It will not be because I want to save myself.
:)

"He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." (Matthew 12:30)

So far, you have chosen not to except God's gift!

Tick! Tick! Your life is passing!

By your choice you have chosen to continue working against The very God you believe you believe in!

There is no neutral ground!

BUT! While there is life, there is hope!

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." (Joshua 24:15)

This offer of eternal love is not open forever!

Tick! Tick! Your life is passing!

"The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light." (Romans 13:12)

This makes me wonder why people become Christians. Is it only to save themselves?
:emot-fail:

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18)

Well, nonetheless, I still can't believe it without having a firm foundation.
:noidea:

Oh! You are so correct!

The key to the only Rock solid foundation Is "The Corner Stone"!

Jesus!

"Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?" (Matthew 21:42)

"And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:"

"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."

"And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:"

"And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it." (Matthew 7:23:27)

In my eyes, it all seems very sketchy. And it seems that people have to go to great lengths to reconcile some of the challenges to Christianity.
:b:

The eyes! The eyes! Who do you need to look to?

Jesus!

"And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:14-15)

"And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived." (Numbers 21:9)

I believe you are missing something here. With your cute little Mother Goose antics, you have succesfully done nothing to persuade my belief.

Why you might ask?

Because I will not take the advice of man, seeing as how by your standards, man is flawed. I have a relationship with my God. When I was a Christian, I lost this relationship, so I was obviously missing something. But now it is back! And it feels great. I'm happier, nicer to people, and just all around better.

But wait.....

You say that I am being used and abused by the devil! Oh my!

Well please, continue being so arrogant as to think that you can tell me who I worship! Last time I checked, humans usually get it wrong. I hate to say this, but I can no longer give you the benefit of the doubt.

You keep telling me that my God is wrong. Who knows, maybe he will strike you with lightning or something.....watch your head.....

:emot-fail:

I've questioned you about what you believe!

I've wondered that the "God" you worship is?

Interesting.

I believe you may have just answered my puzzlement!

If Samuel Clemens is your scriptural guru as it now appears, I sympathize!

"Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch." (Matthew 15:14}

In 1909 Mark Twin wrote "Letters from the Earth".

He died the next year (1910).

I read his rant in 1965.

In this writing, I found Samuel so full of the hatred of God I was soul sick for him for weeks.

To see a man go into eternity with such a raging hatred of Jesus is a most horrendous thing!

The end of this man grieved my heart and drew me back into the arms of Jesus!

"But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death." (Proverbs 8:36)

I'm hopeful to see you are still visiting Christian boards and, at least, you are reading a little bit of some of the posts.

The real Gold tucked within these posts is The Holy Scripture.

You see, it is not what man "thinks" that counts, it is what God says!

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." (Matthew 24:35)

Ya'll have got to be kidding me.

If you must resort to mocking me, then so be it.

I enjoy Mark Twain, because he had the guts to say what others were thinking.

And He is just plain funny....

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Haha I love this post. And i agree with you 100%! Mark Twain is funny and is awsome. He was a very intelligent man. And as far as your quote goes I love it to. I have noticed on this other Christian forum it seems like none of them use their intelligence. They just read something and went yep yep true true.. without even thinking about it. No offense to anyone on this site Im just saying that when I hear things from people I tend to think about them and see if they are really true before I will believe it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
