In this topic, I would like to hear of what God has done in Your life, if you are another religion, which I have seen various people mention other gods, what has your god done in your life?

Those who have a testimony I believe are an eyewitness to the works of God, Describe situations where the Lord has used you, or changed your direction, what has the Lord done in your life? How did you come to the Lord?

For me, I grew up divided, my mom was trying to lead me to Christ, and my step dad, more aithiest, when I was 13, I Lost what little faith I had, I later became a wiccan, and was into veriour types of demonic witchcraft, I was living homeless my whole teenage years, I in a way always knew there was a God, but I tried to live my life against him, I was a major drug addict, and withotu God, I never would have even wanted to quit, My view was my life is pointless so why not enjoy it, I was hooked on crystal meth, and got into every drug I could get my hands on, My mind was messed up from witchcraft, after seeing a few posessions, and going through way too much stuff with that, it messed with me, I then tried not to believe in God, and fought, Well, I moved to wv about 4 years ago, I had no intention or desire of changing my life style, I got in a fight with God one night, Saying, If you where love, why would you let this happen, or that happen, and shouting question after question, and even through my unbelief, I expected God to answer me, well the next day, My sister who I moved in with, in WV brought me to Church, I didnt want to be there, and I was being rebelious in my heart, well as the worship music started, I started to feel somthing that seemed familiar, but I rejected it, and fought against it, Then the lady on the worship team, started speaking in toungues, and I felt a power from it that was more intence than I could ever describe it, When the message was interprited, the preacher changed his sermon, and answered every question I asked God the night before. I accepted the Lord in my heart, and a week later recieved the gift of toungues, which is a devotional prayer language, after than I slipped back into drugs, and still had the gift God gave me, I was living in sin, but still trying to hold onto God, I got kicked out of my sisters and moved in with drug addicts, which didnt help, I was miserable, after I found the Lord, nothing could fill that void. well to cut a long story short, I moved back to CA, and then back to WV, when I moved to WV I got clean, the Lord healed me from a desease aswell, To hear the full story look on my profile page. Well the Lord has done countless things in my life, If I where to write all that he's done for me, and all the experiences I've had with the Lord, I could write a book series, and totaly used me in ways I never thought he would, or even could. What is he doing in my life now? preparing me for bible college, and leading my direction.

But seriously,

Very inspiring post Josh....I loved it.

I sometimes wish that I could have heard or seen God work in my life like so many of ya'll have. I'm starting to think he forgot about me....

Quite upsetting.

God took a woman (me) who was on the road of hopelessness and despair, lifted her out of the miry clay (my relationship with my boys' father) and set me on a firm foundation of Love (His Word and His midst.) I would have to write a book if I were to give set examples of what He has done....But from a hopeless situation, to a future full of promise, happiness and depedency on someone who will NEVER, NEVER let me down.... that is what My God has done for me.

Hard to put into a few words but........ what hasn't God done for me.

He was there even when I didn't know HIM but HE knew me. Saved me from the most disasterous of decisions, looking back now I could see God guiding me then in my late teens when everyone had deserted me and was throwing caution to the wind. God took an insecure and anxious girl seeking other peoples approval and conforming to the ways of the world and seeking the love I missed out growing up to a confident and strong woman in Christ and I KNOW how much God loves me in that act of great love HE demonstrated at Calvary. In Christ I can do anything HE has planned for my life. Fuly aware that I can NOT do this in my own strength only HIS. I can NOT live without HIM and I KNOW HE will never leave my side even though at times I disappoint HIM so.

My father died when I was very young and was angry at God that He took my dad away, my mum used to describe my dad's death as this: God walks through HIS garden and He would walk in His garden and pick flowers and my dad was one of the flowers God picked so my dad was special. I was only 4 years old. That was the first time I knew there was a God. I now know my dad wasn't a Christian and I will never see him again.

God is still working on me and in my life and takes me to new heights and I pray in all His mighty goodness that HE would use me for HIS divine purpose to show the lost their way to HIM.

When I stand before my Saviour I only hope to hear these words: "Good and Faithful Servant".

Josh Psalm 139 is a favourite of mine, love it.

Well, just to throw in an athiestic perspective, there have been times when I've had an epiphany or reached a conclusion about things that were blocking or bothering me, or times when odd things have happened, but in all of that, I've never had a sense that any of it was the work of any kind of god, even when I was a kid.

The only other thing I have to add is that, without being religious, I do 'pray,' in a sense - perhaps this is better termed wishing. If I want something good to happen to someone, I tend to think 'please let this happen,' but I don't have anyone in mind that I'm asking - it's just a goodwill-wish - just in case anyone's listening, be it luck, the universe or whoever . Apparently, my father does this every night - he goes through a list of people in his head and thinks what good thinks he'd like to have happen to them, and that way falls asleep.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
