Time and again the media claim that they have made startling discoveries about Christianity. To the common people who have not been educated in the history of Christianity, such presentations seem like eye openers, because, the presentations have scholarly pretenses. In reality, they are full of false information, unrealistic speculations and fiction. The De Vinci code was history mixed with fiction that made fiction appear like real history. Judas' Gospel, that were written by Gnostics (who were at odds with Christians) long after the real Gospels were written, had been discredited by scholars a long ago; yet it resurfaced as some new discovery in the media. More recently, they took an archeological findings of the early nineteen eighties, in which grave of a Jewish family was discovered, and tried to imply that it was the grave of Jesus and his family; although none of his family members lived in Jerusalem (where the grave was discovered) and the chief archeologist of the excavation found no connection between Jesus and the grave.

The media is anti-Christian, because, they are opposed to Christian teachings. Christianity teaches about unconditional love, in which, Christians, like Jesus, are called to love their enemies and compensate for the offenses of their offenders by sacrificing their own interest. Christians are also called to protect every human life, including those in the fetal and embryonic stages, and respect marital union as holy, permanent and life-giving. Christians, therefore, oppose contraception, artificial reproductive techniques, destruction of embryo for any reason, euthanasia, divorce, fornication, sexual immorality and perversities, gay union, and self-interest. The media, which espouses all these things, therefore, does not like Christianity. To them, Jesus is the stumbling block, because, in Jesus the reality of God, as pure, sacrificial, all forgiving is revealed. Jesus, therefore, is their prime target.

I'm afraid that Satan has a great influence on Hollywood and the media. It is ashame to see such respected names like James Cameron try and discredit the Lord for their own selfish gain. Many people look up to them due to their creative abilities and will follow their teachings as fact. But things are only going to get worse as time goes by, as Satan will try harder and harder to distort the truth of the gospel.

God will give children to married couples when He knows it is the best time to. If there are issues such as finances or illness then the

married couple should pray to God with help in this matter, and to allow the child to come at the right time, which God will know when

that is.

In order to keep people interested they have to talk about things that hit close to home for people. No one wants to hear about a random family being dug up somewhere as an archeological find, but if people mention it could be Jesus, suddenly people become interested, and want to learn more.

I'm sorry, but I disagree to an extent here. I don't think that the media specifically opposes Christian teachings. Human life is viewd (for the most part) as something that should be protected by the media. Euthanasia is still being debated, I don't think anyone LIKES divorce but it is accepted. Sexual immorality and perversion is still frowned upon, but is not abhored, this is true. And of course abortion is another hot topic, but again it is not something that is celebrated, just something that is allowed. I don't think it does any good to demonize the media, and state that it opposes everything that Christianity stands for, because that wouldn't be true. Rather, we need to recognize that the media has its own set of values that are not completely on line with Christian teachings. There are some things that are agreed upon, and some things that are disagreed upon.

Another way to avoid having pregnancy in a marriage is to find out when the woman is the most fertile, and avoid having intercourse at those times. I know that God has a role to play in pregnancy, but we can do our part too! And I must be honest, I don't see why contraceptives are so frowned upon by many Christians. If you are married, I don't see the problem in birth control methods.

I do have to disagree with some of this. I don't think that the media's intent is to target Christianity. Look at the most recent, "The Passion of Christ".

I think that the media will always be looking for controversial topics, not just Christianity. When people fear change, they attack the changer. In this case, the changer is Jesus.

You do bring up some very good points though. Let us still, pray for the media =)
