For some reason, the concept of respectful posting and the ability to post without malice simply escapes some people, especially in threads such as this.

Here's a simple example of how to do it right:

"I believe such and such..."

"I don't believe in that, and here's why I do not believe it..."

"I see the point you are making, but I still believe such and such and here's why..."

"I still do not believe in it, but we'll simply have to agree to disagree at this point..."

Simple, right? Why in the world is this one simple concept so hard for some to establish within their hearts?

In this case, I will not be sending out any PM's to members explaining my reasoning for closing this thread. To me, the reasons are glaringly self-evident. A few have tried to keep the topic within the intent of the original discussion, but yet personal attacks continue to fly regardless.

I'm going to leave the thread in public for one reason only: To provide a perfect example of what is not tolerated on the boards. Please, and I'm begging now, keep personal issues out of the public threads and go to the person you may have a problem with in private through the PM system. If that fails to reach a mutual resolution, then please bring the matter to one of the Mods or a Watchman and we will do our best to resolve the issue. If all else fails, feel free to exercise your ability to set other member's posts as invisible by utilizing the "Ignore" feature.

It's all right there in the TOS, and perhaps now would be a good time to refresh our memories by reading it once again.

For the love of our Savior, please stop tearing each other apart and find a way to reach common ground. Someone else's salvation may very well rely upon your ability to do so.
