ETERNAL GOD

Dear Fiosh

Wonderful thread dear sister.

Mike is a dear "Oneness" brother of mine and he asked this question on another board.

Can You tell me where You read God The Son or God The Holy Spirit?

So, I've decided to reexamine The Godhead with Mike and I picked God's eternal existence as a starting point.

I believe God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is an accurate way to describe each person of God, as He is revealed in the scriptures.

There is One Eternal God!

God is The Eternal Father, The Eternal Son and The Eternal Holy Ghost.

One Eternal God

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:

Hi brother Joe,

There is much wisdom in your post. Thank you.

I don't know that I can "add {much} understanding" to your explanation. Let me say this, though. Over the past year the Holy Spirit has been prodding me toward a better intellectual understanding of what I believe. My faith tends to be about 60% mystical.....or feeling; and 40% reason and knowledge.

It took me a while to realize what God was wanting to do in me. But I think I'm beginning to see it now. He wants me to put more effort into learning as much as I can about His word, and not only how it applies to my life, but to the ever-more-secular world we live in.

"Feeling" is comforting and pleasant. It takes no effort and is strictly a gift from God.

Studying His word, although a blessing and a Spirit-filled exercise, takes effort. I must work against my lazy human nature. I can't just sit like a child and hold out my hands waiting for them to be filled. I must roll up my sleeves and sweat a little.

God is revealing to me that "feeling" is sorta like the milk Paul talks about. Working and studying to understand the deeper truths is the meat. When you consume meat you can't simply swallow it, you have to cut it up first, chew on it, and then take time to digest it.

I'm on a new quest for the meat of the word.

God bless,

Fiosh

Jesus is God, he is Lord,

and Yes I would worship him if I was before him right now.

I agree.

I did not read about Saul questioning the authority of the sudden light that flashed around him. And he even fell to the ground.

The first question is a no brainer.

Your second question......how would you know it was Christ?

The same way John knew who it was that spoke to him. Rev. 1:11-18 If you know Him now you will know Him when you stand before Him.

CREATOR GOD

One Awesome God

Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? (Galatians 4:8-9)

The Creator Father

But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. (Isaiah 64:8)

The Creator Son

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:3)

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:15-17)

The Creator Holy Ghost

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. (Job 33:4)

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. (Job 26:13)

Love, Joe

Yes and Yes!

Apart from John 8:58, I would also like to quote the following verses

John Chapter 9 we read Jesus healing the man who was born blind and the subsequent investigation of the pharisees into the miracle-incident...Here we read the testifying faith of the blind man! It really lifted me up

35- Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said , "Do you, believe in the Son of Man?"

36- "Who is he , sir?", the man asked."Tell me so that I may believe in him."

37- Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you."

38- Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshipped him

This man who was born blind literally, had his eyes opened in every true sense..Hallelujiah!

So are you saying that all the people who claimed to see Christ over the last few years actually saw Him?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
