Why would anyone what to know the name of Job's wife?

She wasn't very supportive of her husband.

She seems to have gone out of her way to get him to give up.

I think that she was a woman of the world and far from being a G-DLY wife.

Just goes to show that men of the OT weren't much different then worldly men of today.

Job's life would have been much better if he had submitted to YHVH in the beginning.

If you think about it, the same can be said for any of us, really, man or woman.

Of course, I think Job's ordeal revealed that he harbored some pride in his heart. Think about it.

Plus, I think the story showed that God did not bless Job because Job was so good but rather that God blessed Job because God is good!

That's right. Can you imagine seeing that pillar of salt? In Josephus, I read where he was writing about it, and saying that it was said ... "and you can still see it to this day", or something like that.

According to the Jewish Targum (Early translations of the Old Testament into Aramaic), Job's wife was named Dinah, and according to Jewish tradition Dinah was the daughter of Jacob spoken of in Genesis 30:20-21.

Intersting but it doesn't fit, does it? Job was from the land of UZ, which is somehwere the Euphates River. Jacob and his people lived in Canaan prior to their journey to Egypt. Another long distance romance? Maybe. Regardless, the book of Job never says anything about Job being under the covenant of Abraham thereby implying that he was not a descendant of Abraham. I would think it would have mentioned it. Maybe the Job of Genesis was an offspring of Job of the Book of Job?
