And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few.

Do you not realize that the Master had come? That it is Judgment Day?

yes i do realize that whats the point? you think there won't be ministers that do this sort of thing before christ comes?

It is not the GWT judgement, the second coming there isn't any judgement yet. there will be 1000 years before judgement day.

So these ministers/stewards/ will be punished for their treachery, ignorance.

You have to remember once the 7th seal is opened, there will be no christians on earth. they will have been called into the sky to be with christ. There will however be churches with ministers. and these ministers will know that christ has come, and will know that the time is come for the beast to arrive. They will gain favor with the anti-christ

Let me ask you Saints. Has anyone prayed concerning thier speaking in this thread? I hear so many ideas and assumptions. Why dont we just admit that "we dont know" or "are not complete in our understanding". If God has not opened up certian things unto us the best thing to do is be quiet. And if He has then the best thing to do is to ask Him if the time is proper to reveal it. And when it is revealed it will be simple, Scripture will testify of it, and you wont have to jumble up scriptures to make the point.

Too much trust in our so-called knowledge in the Word puffs us up. This thread has so much death in it. I have not heard Life being shared. Our common ground is Christ; let's stand on His ground and view the land from our position in Him. I love you all but I pray that you see that not only is this not going anywhere but who is being edified. Let that be the question. Lord Jesus is this edifying, is this building up Your Body. Frankly all this is doing is displaying our lack, which often can be wonderful if we will embrace it. Speak Life that we all may be edified; if it is not Life then it is of that other tree which equals death.

"Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

We have the ability to know Truth. We are not in the dark.

I do agree that the parable is about the stewards over the flock, but it refers to the Judgment that occurs before Christ, for believers, where we are held accountable for the gifts we have been given.

What in the world are you talking about? Please explain and show me a verse where it says anything about those being held accountable for the gifts we are given. We are held accountable and judged for our sins. Nothing more!! And we are not being judged yet. Read revelations. But seriously back up what you said for me. Thanks, matthew

What do you get from this message: When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required. ?

If we squander and deny the use of the gifts and callings, we will be held accountable for our disobedience. It's all sin.

Come on isn't a minister given much responsibility?? isn't the "Talents" valuable to the master? WHAT Is christs most valuable posssessions? the christians i would say. so to place the spiritual wellbeing into the hands of ministers, and teachers then MUCH is required of them. IF the flock does not grow, or they are spiritually abused, then that minister will be held accountable as much is expected of him.

these passages clearly speak about pastors that do not take care of the body of christ.

Flo, you're really applying your own meaning to what you qouted. To say that that is talking about the gifts is stretching it dramatically. It does sound like it would be a lot more likely applied to pastors. Dont take it for what you want it. Even so, if what you are saying is true, I dont have the gifts so I'm not at fault. But what verse is that exactly so I can look it up. Thanks, matthew

I guess you didn't read, then. I agreed with you earlier that it was shepherds of the flock that the passage was referring to. They are held responsible for the condition of the flock they are in charge of.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
