ladyc,

i was not refering to what you were saying. i was speaking of those that were advocating the legalization of drugs. i know first hand about the horror or drug abuse and addiction. for example the statement of how useful marijuana could be. what alot of smoke and mirrors they are exerting themselves using in order to justify a useless platform. rope, for crying out loud. hemp was used for making rope for years, if i remember my history correctly that particular hemp was not overly useful for smoking, for the purpose of getting a buzz. does anyone here think, that if making rope from hemp was necessary and there was a profit in hemp for rope, that we would not still be making rope from it? get real!!

Dakota, you really must do some reading

http://www.recipenet.org/health/articles/hemp_seed.htm

This pressing produces a high-quality polyunsaturated oil and seed cake (the crushed seed hulls). The oil can be eaten on its own, blended into other food products, blended into body care products or used as a lubricant and many other uses. The seed cake can be ground into flour, used to brew beer or added to animal feed. Lastly, the stalks of the plants are ground up and used in animal bedding, garden mulch and for pulp and paper. Hemp can actually be used in 25,000 potential products!

my question stands, why would a christian want to stand for the legalization of marijuana? yes, i saw the answer given to my original question. not good enough. not by the width of any galaxy.

Yes i would. I am all for legalization of a useful product.

i asked quite a few more questions as it relates to the legalization of marijuana, but eliyahuw you ignored those, why? never mind, don't bother. i have read a few of your posts arguing for the legalization of drugs. how you think it is a victimless crime. you do not understand what you are talking about. you don't understand the issues, IT IS NOT A VICTIMLESS CRIME.

I NEVER SAID IT WAS A VICTIMLESS CRIME! I SAID there is no crime if there is no victim. And there is no victim if there is no crime against another persons right to life liberty and property.

AND if there is a crime against these rights, then it is covered by constitutional laws already. The drug laws are for property siezure and control. Nothing more.

i don't say that lightly or to be insulting. just that as a christian we have certain duties or as children of God and followers of Jesus, there are common traits that i am not discerning in you.

What duties are you speaking about!??

legalization of a useful product? tell me eli, in what way is meth useful? you're for legalizing that, you've already stated so.

no crime, no victim? that's pure stupidity. i'm done calling it ignorance on your part. ignorance is the ability to learn, stupidity is the unwillingness to learn. your statement is pure stupidity.

my husband hasn't committed any crimes (aside from purchasing/using) this week. but he has already spent $320 this week alone and just called to ask if we had enough in the bank to spend another $100+. additionally he has spent $100 in the slot machine waiting for it to be delivered to him. on top of that he has lied to me more times than i can count this week regarding hours that he is supposed to be on the clock but he's out chasing or partying instead, lying about porn that he has purchased because porn and meth go hand in hand... and let's also add how degrading it is for a wife to know that her husband is getting his jollies looking at glossy images of other women instead of coming home.

i DARE you to tell me that i am not a victim, because he has not committed any crime against me.

come on, i dare you!

show your true colours for everyone to see, please, i'm anxious to see you do so.

why don't you take my earlier advice and quit trying to debate something you know nothing about.

and apparently you're still under the pathetic belief that drug users are not harming anyone but themselves and are not victimizing those around them. you think "there's laws dealing with them if they commit a criminal act and cause physical harm to others"... so you are essentially advocating letting them do the drugs that alter their brain chemistry and cause them to commit violent crimes in the first place.

A crime is when someone comits a act that deprives another person of life liberty or property. While the actions of a person might affect a family member, no crime has been comitted. SO therefore, no crime, no victim.

listen, you hate the government, you hate law enforcement. we get that. you support open and free drug use.

No i don't hate the government, or law enforcement. I hate what it is becoming, by legislating the constitution rights into oblivion. The "War on Drugs" and drug legislation has effectively eliminated the 4th amendment, where anyone can just bust down your door and enter your premises without serving a warrant. heck, now they can bust down your door with a illegal warrant and kill you. They just slapped two cops here in atlanta this week with 15 year sentence for murder because they plea'd it down from murder to manslaughter. They forged a warrant, broke into a 98 year old womans house, blew her away and planted pot in her house to cover their actions! It doesn't stop at these two individuals, but climbs the ladder all the way up to the chief of police and the judges.

This is what our law enforcement has become. These drug laws have given far too much power to the people that are supposed to serve the public. That is what i have against law enforcement and government, and this has all been done in the name of "security".

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety. "Richard Jackson"

we get that too. but you make idiotic claims that there are no victims other than themselves, and have no concept that families are victims that are destroyed every day even though NO PHYSICAL CRIME against them is committed which can be prosecuted.

IF there is no crime comitted against life, liberty or property, then there are no victims.

i think you're intelligent enough to figure this out for yourself, lorax. am i wrong?

the same way that there is a black market for every LEGAL drug in america. if you'd really like me to spell it out for you, hand over your big chief writing tablet and fat red crayon and i'll do so.

There wouldn't be if the profit was taken out of it

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
