Hello brothers and Sisters,

I was searching for something for a bible study to put together for me and my wife and I "stumbled" upon this book.

Although I have only read the introduction and then the first chapter I wanted to share the remarkable insight with you that God has blessed this man with.

I am going to try and read the rest of it over this weekend.

God Bless and let me know your thoughts

The salvation of Israel and America

Its got some amazing insight to the stories in the book of Genesis and how they correlate to prophecy and in fact are pictures or shadows of it.

I hope you enjoy this study as much as I have been enjoying it.

God Bless

In Jesus

Kevin

This is no doubt an interesting book. I do not believe America is prophesied explicitly in the Bible. This is a subjective view based on the subjective allegorical method of interpretation. The literal, grammatical, contextual, historical method will lead to different conclusions. Israel, not America, is the key to Bible prophecy. I am Canadian. America seems to think it is the center of the universe. The Bible is a Middle Eastern revelation. America will have a role in end time events, but is not the focus of prophecy.

Mormonism is an American religion and prophesies about America.

Herbert W. Armstrong (World Wide Church of God; Plain Truth) developed the heretical British-Israelism doctrine and also had America read back into prophecy.

There is allegory in the Bible, but the allegorical commentators of the past came up with bizarre, fanciful interpretations due to their faulty hermeneutic (interpretation). Cults like JWs also use the method to give their organizations a place in Bible prophecy and the book of Revelation.

'Warning, danger, Will Smith...' (I have not read the book, but smell a rat).

Hi Godrulz,

You bring some interesting points, but I believe that this man is pretty clear of making Israel the center of focus here.

And he does point that any nation who has been at Israels side will be blessed, not just America.

I do agree with you that some put too much emphasis on America and take their eyes off Israel which is Gods focal point, always has been and always will be.

I really dont see Spurgeon as doing this do you? I mean turning the focus on America as opposed to Israel. I could be missing something and would appreciate your input.

I myself see him as building up Israel, and pointing out why of all the events that have happened with Israel, God chose the stories that He did to bea part of the bible.

I love how this man puts into perspective how God in the book of Genesis beggining with Adam and Eve was already prophesying of the Christ and the end of time.

I encourage you to read the 2nd chapter which is actually the first chapter, but he has the first chapter as the introduction, which is also very good bythe way.

God bless you Godrulz!

Something to consider along with the article:

This shows Israel's rebirth through the redemptive work of Christ in the last days.

Isaiah 66:5 Hear the word of the Lord, You who tremble at His word: "Your brethren who hated you, Who cast you out for My name's sake, said, 'Let the Lord be glorified, That we may see your joy.' But they shall be ashamed." 6 The sound of noise from the city! A voice from the temple! The voice of the Lord, Who fully repays His enemies! 7 "Before she was in labor, she gave birth; Before her pain came, She delivered a male child. 8 Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day? Or shall a nation be born at once? For as soon as Zion was in labor, She gave birth to her children. 9 Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?" says the Lord. "Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb?" says your God. 10 "Rejoice with Jerusalem, And be glad with her, all you who love her; Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her;

His Awesome Work of Israel is not finished yet! But it must be getting close to time of delivery.

:il:

Hi Suzanne,

I believe that is what this guy is trying to get across, from what I read.

I kinda wish I hadn't mentioned the salvation of America in the topic, but it is the title of the book.

I love the "shadows" that Spurgeon uses of how God is turning again to Israel by the stories that are written in Genesis. I love my Jewish brothers and look forward to the day that they say yes to Yeshua. God is so good and never renigs on His wonderful promises.

Israel is the time table for prophecy and from looking at what is happening over there, I would say the time is near, much closer than some if not most of us even realize.

The reason I started this thread was to discuss Israels redemption and not so much focus on America, of which in what I read so far anyway, the author seems to do a pretty good job.

I really respect your input and have been edified more than once by your insight. I would look forward to your thoughts on this book, or at least this chapter. May be he is taking too much liberty in his analogy

I am going to do a bible study starting this week with my wife , and would sure hate to put out information that is not good and I may be blind to, but I'll tell ya, I was awed in some of the things the author has brought out thus far.

Thanks Suzanne, I lok forward to your reply.

God Bless,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I believe that is what this guy is trying to get across, from what I read.

Yes, I do too, that is why I felt compelled to post the passage that I did. It was in line with what he was saying. I printed off the article, as I read it through the first time rather quickly and I want to have time to thoroughly consider and study what he wrote. I do believe that God has a very clear intent on what is to happen in these last days in regard to Israel, and IMO, America. I believe that we are both very intricately intertwined. I also have tried to share my convictions on this matter, but was profusely disputed, so I will not offer those insights again. But.....I really see something quite clearly in progress in terms of America and Israel and the dynamics of our relationship. I have studied and asked, and I truly believe that relationship is spoken of in Zechariah, in detail.

My what an exciting time we are living in! For such a time as this!

I will study the article probably later next week. I do hope this will still be up to discuss it further. Out of curiosity, I will go and read the rest of the site and see what else is there.

In His Love,

Suzanne (P.S. - thank you for your kind words Kevin) :)

God bless you sister,

We are in agreement on this, I too believe that America has special bond with Israel and have had the same responses as it appears you have.

Gods focus is and always will be Israel, Israel is the apple of Gods eye. But there is a special relationship between Israel and America. God says He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel.

I would be very interested in hearing your views on this and look forward to it.

I cant wait to read more of this guys book, its exciting to hear what he has had to say thus far, but its hard to read a picture tube all day though, I really need to invest in a printer. :):)

And I agree with you in that we are living in a very special and exciting time! We have been truly blessed to have been born in and appointed the time in which God has chosen. gives a person goose bumps.

God bless you sister.

Hi Dove,

I heard an intersting analogy of this particular passage of scripture.

The Lion which represents England and the Eagle wings were at one time the same strength and one nation.

We won our independance from England and broke of from her and became our own nation.

This verse is found in Daniel 7:4 notice what else happens

"Its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man"

This is really neat, because America was plucked through our war for independance from England and we were made independant and had to stand on our own.

We then adopted our second symbol -- the man Uncle sam. It also says that it was given a human mind and some translations says heart.

We are one of the only Nations in the world that when after we go do war, spend billions rebuilding what we once destroyed, as opposed to plundering the spoils, the nation with heart.

We are going through a study on the endtimes on wednsdays at our church, and some very interesting things are coming out of it.

From what I understand, there is another kingdom that had the symbols of the lion and the eagle though, and that is ancient Babylon, which is an intersting study in itself of which I do plan on doing, there is so much I want to learn but dont want to overload myself, for then it ends up I never finish them completely.

God bless

Kevin

I do look at this in the way you speak of also. However, when you speak of the ancient Babylonian's eagle these are not the wings that will carry Israel to a place of safety. Only America's eagle wings will do that.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
