For the guys, married or single, trying to figure this out and can't, here are the rules of engagement. And gentlemen, PLEASE TAKE NOT OF RULES 15 and 16. Temporal time and space has no bearing on any relationship.

The Female always makes the Rules. This is necessary because the Male holds the Female responsible for how everything in his life turns out.

The Rules are subject to change at any time without prior notification. When otification does occur, the Male has either ignored, misunderstood or forgotten what's been said.

No Male can possibly know all the Rules. Because the Male either ignores, misunderstands or forgets them and never says so.

If the Female suspects the Male knows the Rules, she must immediately change some of the Rules. This is done to keep the Male involved, responsive, and a little bit crazy. Otherwise, life would be predictable and boring.

The Female is never wrong. Never! Ever!

If the Female is wrong, it is because of a flagrant misunderstanding which is a direct result of something the Male said or did.

If Rule 6 applies, the Male must apologize immediately for causing the misunderstanding.

The Female can change her mind at any given point in time. The Female can do this because she willingly accepts responsibility for her actions. The Female also accepts responsibility for the actions of the Male.

Because the Male usually expects the Female to find a way to correct what he's screwed up as a result of changing his mind, the Male must never change his mind without express written consent from the Female which is given only in cases where the female wanted him to change his mind but gave no indication of that wish. See rules 6, 7, 12, and 13.

The female has the right to be angry or upset for any reason, real or imagined, at any time and under any circumstance which in her sole judgement she deems appropriate. The male is not to be given any sign of the root cause of the female's being angry or upset. The female may, however, give false or misleading reasons to see if the male is paying attention. Caring for the Male 24 hours a day gives her this right. See rule 13.

The Male must remain calm at all times unless the Female wants him to be angry or upset.

The Female must under no circumstances let the Male know whether she wants him to be angry or upset. Some things in life a Male should try and figure out for himself.

Any attempt to document these rules could result in bodily harm. Or worse.

The male is expected to read the mind of the female at all times. Failure to do so will result in punishments and penalties imposed at the sole discretion of the female.

The female may, at any time and for any reason, resurrect any past incident without regard to temporal or spacial distance, and modify, enlarge, embellish, of wholly reconstruct it in order to demonstrate to the male that he is now or has in the past been wrong, insensitive, pig-headed, dense, deceitful, and/or oafish.

The female may use her interpretation of any past occurrence to illustrate the ways in which the male has failed to accord her the consideration, respect, devotion, or material possessions, he has bestowed on other females, domestic pets or barnyard animals, sports teams, automobiles, motorcycles, boats, aircraft, or coworkers. Such illustrations are non- rebuttable.

If the female is experiencing PMS, Post-PMS, or Pre-PMS, the female is permitted to exhibit any manner of behaviors she wishes without regard to logical consistency or accepted norms of human behavior.

Any act, deed, word, expression, statement, utterance, thought, opinion, or belief by the male is subject to the sole, subjective interpretation of the female, other external factors not-withstanding. Alibis, excuses, explanations, defenses, reasons, extenuations, or rationalizations will not be entertained. Abject please for mercy and forgiveness are acceptable under some circumstances, especially when accompanied by tangible evidence of contrition.

As a happily married man to one wife for over 35 years, its not hard to fathom that I have played by the rules at all times!

Haz.

Genius, Haz.

How can i find men like you Hazard and Fresno Joe and how will i know he feels this way about me?

Men of God like them are found in churches, not at parties. That is one way to start.

Hi 'Zole."

I have always believed in the sanctity of marriage, created by God, where two people truly become one flesh, and remain so untill death does them part, and not some petty selfish quarrel. I dated many women from all walks, believers and non-believers. I was carefull not to rush in thinking I was in love, rather than knowing. Actually, I found my wife. She was 15, I was 21. I knew she would be a wonderful wife and mother after I dated her for 4 years. She ran her parents household from the age of 14, looking after the running of the home and younger siblings, Her parents were very busy running their business. I asked her father if we could get married. He told me, when you have a home to put over her head, then you can get married. I already owned a parcel of land, and immediately proceded to built our home on it. We were married a year later, and moved right in. We have been together now for 40 years, married 35. We have lived through every joy a married couple can have, and also every pain, but we never gave in when missfortune came upon us. We supported each other through each trial. To this day, everywhere we go, wherever we walk, we still hold hands as we did when we were 15 and 21 years of age.

You will know when the right man comes along. He will tell you he loves you every day of the rest of your lives. He will defend and protect you all the days of his life. He will thank God for having you. Then you will truly know.

Haz.

Did you ever hear The Man Song?

[edited for content :) ]

When I say goes around here...

right out the window

But I don't wanna hear a lot of whining...

so I'll shut up

The sooner you learn who's boss around here...

the sooner you can give me my orders, dear

Cos I'm head honcho around here...

but it's all in my head

And don't expect any flowers from me...

cos if I'm not mistaken, you prefer jewelry

I'm the king of my castle...

when you're not around

And I'll drink and watch sports...

whenever I wanna get in trouble

And I'll come home, when I'm good and ready...

to sleep on the couch

That's just some of the lyrics, not all of them are approprait for posting here. :whistling: It's one of my husband's favorite songs. Wonder why?

Hi 'Biblicist.'

Yes, I have heard the song. Very funny indeed. Do you remember the comedy TV show the "Honeymooners" with Jackie Gleeson? When he and his wife quarrlled, he used to clench his fist, swing his righ arm round as if to punch her whilst pointing above with his left arm, and cry, "To the moon Alice." That cracked me up. Ye would answer Yeh, yeh," knowing he was as weak as a fizzy drink and would never hit her. It was all a bluff.

When it comes down to this whole thing you have to look at what has taken place. Constant coming and going. Never start something you don't want to continue in the future. The best predicter of future behaviour is what has happened in the past. I see nothing but emotional coming and going, even if someone manages to nail the other down temporally in this relationship. This is bad.

I would sit down and figure out what you want in a mate and set out to be the best at what you are called to be. Find a compliment to what you are called to be. I can say that being unstable is not what any believer is called to be at any time.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
