In the bolded, italicized section, you "make up your own definition" with "no matter how I define the phrase" she is not a hatemonger.

In the latter half, you go Ad Hominem and make a personal attack against me. In my previous post, I was speaking hypothetically.

So now you tell us that Ann wants all liberals to be sent to prison.... after someone blows that argument out of the water, what will you come back with then?

This is not an accurate "transcript" of the conversation.

Publish the accurate transcript then if that one is not accurate. Where is the inaccuracy of that one?

I would find it very, very hard to believe that its not an accurate transcript being the source is none other than MSNBC.

I listened to the video on MSNBC video and read the transcript you posted, it was not completely accurate.

Where is the inaccuracy? The part where Coulter is asked politely not to make fun of the Edwards for losing their child? What misplaced punctuation in the transcript could possibly make Ann Coulter look any better?

Look, I do not need to defend Ann Coulter. She is a big girl and she is quite capable of fending for herself, as she has proven time and again.

Obviously, you and I can't agree on the ideas of winning the lost, judging other's, slander and gossip. That is a problem but not what this thread is about.

So if Edwards wins the Presidency (insert incredulous laughter here) and he has a disagreement with a foreing head of state, will Elizabeth run to the press and plead with the head of state to quit making her husband's job so hard?

Edwards knowingly put himself in the position to take personal attacks, whether they are right or wrong. Elizabeth needs to sit down, keep her mouth shut, and smile and wave when she's told.

And Ann Coulter needs to keep to the issues instead of spouting the braindead and thoughtless crud that comes out of her mouth. So far I've never heard her say anything based on intelligent thought, anything based on issues but only personal attacks that seem to bolster her opinion of herself and stir things away from the real issues.

I quoted her. Where did I slander the woman. You are simply upset because I am making an observation about her. For example, if I called Joseph Stalin a murderer, would I be slandering him? Would I be judging him? Would I be gossiping about him? Or would I simply be stating the obvious?

Actually, I just watched the whole thing on YouTube again, and there are a few minor errors but it's pretty much verbatim what Coulter, Edwards and Matthews said. Edwards asked in a reasoned, polite tone for Coulter to lay off personal attacks that, apparently, started when Coulter made the joke about the Edwards' late young son. Coulter is all arrogance and sniping, and doesn't even begin to consider Edwards's point. Of course, who expected she would? Watch her try to spin it - Edwards wasn't asking her to "stop talking." She merely asked her to talk about the important things - the issues - and stop degrading the dialogue surrounding politics. Coulter doesn't even respond respectfully to Edwards, she just smirks.
