I think discussion is fine. But God's word does not change. It says that women are to be silent in the church, meaning that they are not to be over men. Teachers, speakers, even evangelist, pastors no.

where does it say that a woman cannot be ordained as a pastor? It also says that anyone a head of a church needs to have his house in order...his wife...his children...his finances and so on. That eliminates a awful lot of pastors. Seducing spirits to seduce whom and it what way. Awoman ministered to christ... not a man but a woman. Apparently I am obselete cos you never answered any of my statements...questions. God commands us to procreate, Paul says it is better to stay single. A Jackass ministered to Baalam. Holy Spirit has no gender. We wouldn't have salvation if it wasn't for esther. c'mon talk to me

I believe He was talking to a congregant. Men sat on one side and woman sat on the other. Not until this new religion "christianity" were woman allowed in the synagogue. They did not understand what was being said ( the woman ) or what was being done. They had never been there and were looking to their husbands explanations aloud. At least when we bring a new convert they can sit with us and we may whisper..., but that to can be a distraction. patrish

Hello there brothers ans sisters. Number one I would like to say that there is a curse for anyone who adds to the words of God and to one who takes away from the words of God.. its in Revelations.

2nd The word URSURP i think needs to be defined here. I won't get into the greek. It means to seize by FORCE, without LEGAL AUTHORITY! To possess wrongfully. I have yet known a woman to do that personally and I most certainly have never overpowered a mans authority. Just because we are christians does not mean we are perfect and do not have human frailities.

Has anyone here been in the audience of katherine kuhlman. The recorded reflection of light in her eyes should not be considered demonic even today it is hard to get the red out of the eyes of pictures. Satan cannot cast out satan. Demons fleed in her presence. If you were not there hold back on your judgement please.

3. the christian church and the bride are two different things. The church is falling apart due to the fact it is complacent...lost its first love and seeking what can be given and not the giver. The bride Is making herself ready. Remeber one is left, two christians are walking together there. Remember the story of the 10 virgins. half were ready. So I consider it dismal to have a chuch full of believers and the possibility of 50% not making it. Then You have God saying it will be hard to find a man of faith in the last days.

4. If God can speak through a donkey , He can speak through anyone He pleases. He said even the rocks and stones would cry out. The earth cries for redemtion

5. Jesus came through Mary due to the Fact that Josephs line was cursed, (his sperm through jeconiah)

6. God told adam not to eat of the tree...adam was standing right there while eve plucked the fruit took a bite and HANDED it to Adam, although eve was made aware adam did nothing to stop her.

7esther saved the hebrew race, rahab did a mighty work as well. Jesus may have picked out both men and woman if men thought woman as a little more than chattle.. FOR APOSTLES THAT IS

it says that your children will dream dreamsect. not your boys. and the word man is used to mean both look it up wHEN tHE lORD gOD lOOKED DOEWN AND REGRETED hE MADE MAN....DID THAT EXCLUDE EVE?

hi patricia,

i think when you try to respond in a thread, you're hitting the wrong button... and that instead of hitting "reply" you're unintentionally posting as a new topic.

welcome to worthyboards, by the way

just a thought.......

who was the first one..... THATS RIGHT, THE FIRST ONE.... to preach Christ Resurrected....

who was the one that was the first human to have the knowledge of The Resurrection and then started sharing it with others (preaching it, teaching it, proclaiming it).....

mike

Nothing wrong at all with preaching Christ and Him crucified. That is a subject which all believers - regardless of gender - have been commanded to do.

Yet that is an issue separate from the doctrinal teachings of the church.

"I do not permit a woman to teach or assert authority over a man."

Is that the Bible or not?

If you find conflict then the issue is really with you, not with the Bible, which is the complete Word of God.

If a woman can preach Christ wouldn't that include all things about him??? Why he came, about his Father, his death and resurrection, his kingdom, his inheritance, his everything??? What about all the things Paul said about him? Can a woman not teach those things to? Would these 'doctrinal teachings' you speak of exclude ALL the teachings of Christ (his commandments, his parables, his teachings on his Father and himself, thier oneness, his teachings on the kingdom, his healings, his miracles, his miracles of deliverance, his Lordship...) that were received by his disciples, male and female? Isn't it ALL HIS?

Was a woman who learned from him as a disciple of his also excluded to teach others what she was taught by him? Such things as these are the most important doctrinal teachings of the church. So are women excluded form teaching them? Were his female disciples? Did he exclude them from teaching what he taught them, and his everything?

There is a vast difference between preaching the gospel of Christ (Which is simply "The Messiah has come and He is Him") and teaching (Which are two differing words in the Greek) of the doctrines of the church. One is simply delivering the good news and the other is giving a "didactic discourse" of the doctrines of Christ's church.

Modern-day (that is, at least the past 30 years or so) "preaching" has confused and blurred the line between the two things. Although there were very clear differences between preaching the gospel and teaching in the early church, the modern church has re-interpreted the verses in 1 Tim. according to modern-day practices. The church has gotten entirely to loose in its teaching of the doctrines of the church.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
