ahhh I like your response martin. I am single and have been ...I never ever believed a woman shouls be without a covering and I amnot talking about a hatand yes Jesus Our father is our covering but I believe in accountability to a man. We all need accountability but let us face it, It is brutal out there. I most certainly see things differently than a man and most woman do, God made us that way to COMPLEMENT each other When a woman marries a pastor God sees them as one. As he saw adam and evev as adam.

I called my paster one night after much prayer and trying to make sure what I was hearing was correct. Jesus was showing me that a young woman was after him... A very strong seducing spirit in her. When I spoke to his wife and began to tell her she just put the phone down and called him. Apparantly she saw the same thing but he did not belive her. Not knowing what was going on in the house what I was saying was a confirmation. He asked what do we do now People were very much involve with her problems. Either pray for her to leave or cast out the demon. when we began to pray we ask for a admission of jesus' kingship in the persons life. She could not say the name of Jesus. She left on her own accord.

If a man in my congregation sees something in another man I am more apt to believe him than my own emotions

We all need each other and I cannot believe how petty things become amongst the brethren and even in the but have you ever been ata board meeting.....hahahaha shame on us.

well anyway I have my favorit men and women vehicles of the Holy spirit. I do not like gender name chang thoiugh for one simple reason THERE THREE NON CHRISTIAN GROUPS TRYING TO REMOVE ANY GENDER FROM THE WORD OF GOD.

Ruach certainly was part of the o.t. Even David prayed for our father not to take the Holy Spirit from him.

remember his eye is on the sparrow

love patrish

Yes, Patrish, Christ is our covering. And accountability is important. This is why the "allelon" verses as I call them..... these were put together by Gordon Fee......

In the early church everything was done allelon ("oneanother").

They were members of one another (Rom 12:5;Eph 4:25),

who were to build up one another (1Thess 5:11;Rom 14:19),

care for one another (1Cor 12:25),

love one another (1Thess 3:12; 4:9; Rom 13:8; 1John passim),

bear with one another in love (Eph 4:2),

bear one another's burdens (Gal 6:2),

be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another (Eph 4:32),

submit to one another (Eph 5:21),

consider one another better than themselves (Phil 2:3),

be devoted to one another in love (Rom 12:10),

and live in harmony with one another (Rom12:16).

Yes, the same Holy Spirit fell on the Hebrew people. Hannah is an interesting thought. The way things are worded differently in the O.T. it could be very well that she was exercising a gift of the H.S.

The gifts of the Spirit were given to the Body in Christ's resurrection. The difference between the OT prophets and the New Testament saints is that the Spirit did not indwell the prophets. We can only have access to the indwelling Spirit by virtue of Christ's death and resurrection.

I agree. The Holy Spirit baptism we experience is like being dunked and permeated in the Holy Spirit. And it is availble to all believers to experience unlike only a select few of the O.T.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit occurs at the moment of salvation. It is the experience of all believers, not just a few

I agree as well, as for the person who asked about husband/wife ministries> They are seen as one entire person. Yet seperate relationship wise to Jesus. :24:

All believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit. Whether or not there is a second experience of filling is debateable and not the subject of this thread. Let's not use that as a nit picker. :(

Same for all of us. We are not worthy. Only Christ is worthy.

It occurs to me that many of us in the modern era read into the Bible according to our established paradigms. Some of us appear to have trouble understanding the limitation that the Bible places upon women in asserting authority over and teaching a man, because we are viewing the Bible through the modern paradigm rather than attempting to understand the established Biblical model.

In the modern era it is common among the meetings of the local churches to hear a message preached about salvation regularly. The modern church therefore views the meeting of the church to have two aspects: That of preaching the gospel to the unsaved among the congregation and that of delivering a somewhat simple discourse to the already saved (It is "simple" with respect to the content, so as not to confuse the unlearned. Granted that this is a generalization, but typically mid-week Bible studies are common from those who seek to get into the deeper matters of the the Bible).

So when we come to the subject of "pastorship" and women, and the Bible, we hear that women should not teach and, in the application of the modern paradigm, assume that this prohibition includes the preaching of the Gospel. However, in the first century church the preaching of the gospel did not typically take place in the gathering of the saints. In 1 Corinthians 14 there is actually no such message conveyed in the meetings of the church.

I think that it's important for us all to note that women in the Bible are given a great amount of credence and responsibility. We should not minimize the roles that many women of the Bible have been inspired to take. We would never prohibit any person on the basis of gender from the preaching of the Gospel of Christ. However, when we look at the Bible we see that there is a very clear differentiation between the practicing of the gifts, in the preaching of the gospel, and in the cutting straight the truth and delivering the teachings of the orthodox church. There is also a very clear order which God has placed in the church, and in the homes. Therefore we must not seek to subvert or displace the Bible's very clear teachings with regard to the proper roles and functions of the members of the Body, in their practice and in their proper order, simply because our modern practices vary.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
