First step in turning our country around???

I'd love to hear your views on some 1st ideas that have to take place before we can begin to turn this country back around....Or if you think it can or will ever happen? Take us through your entire thought process and OH! And, do we really want to fullly revert back to the way life was in the older days when we had nothing but time, and the kids played outside until 9:00 p.m. and everyone didn't have a cell phone embedded in their ears, and everybody wasn't in such a hurry to go nowhere fast??

Everywhere I look on Christian TV, they're talking about America needing a new Great Awakening....you know what? It's already happening...People need to start praying that America come back to the Lord, back to the values that shaped this country. My pastor's been doing a Great Awakening Tour that so far in 13 cities has seen over 180,000 people come back to God. It needs to happen faster. America's headed down a slippery slope and we as Christians need to stand in the gap for her.

What we Christians need to do is start praying, and praying hard, for our country and our leadership that we remain, as President Reagan said, "this last bastion of democracy left in the world". That's the only hope we have anymore, is that Christians get off their blessed assurances and start praying! My church, my family is not going to allow the devil to have this country, and if we are the only ones to stand in the gap for her, then by God let it be that way!

Cajunboy::::IN agreement anita, Christian Leaders everywhere are sacraficing what was once the luxary of going home every night to a hot dinner with the family and helping the kids with homework. Now, their out there in the streets , and as I've seen first hand by the thousands who have come to help aid New Orleans, Louisiana Recovery efforts. These people , from the very young , youth groups, and missions to the older, and retired elders have spent their own monies at times to dig debris out of the suburbs and streets, and help some of these people to rebuild new lives. These, literally tens of thousands of people will have stories to remember to share with their loved once, childen and grand-children for ages to come. And I'm quite sure that they can be included in the "History Books" of how they were literally responsible for Rebuilding New Orleans, and the Gulf Coast Region or they might have to take the credit for the Regeneration of a Wonderfully Respected City with so many beautiful people. Needless to say we still have a ways to go!

prayer and repentance first for me and then for my country. (asking the Lord to lead me, change my heart, open my eyes to His will and the hearts of others) share the Good News in both truth and love. Act upon what the Lord calls you to- get involved in. It may be as simple as providing a meal for your neighbors in His name or signing a petition or as complicated as laying down your life for another. His way is true and right He will be faithful to lead.

can it be done? why yes for the Lord has spoken it "If my people called by my name...."

2nd Timothy 3:1-9 men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving. Sad but we can't change what bible says, I can pray for those who are lost by the world but as world to change and get better, the bible says it won't.
