OK, I'm tired of how the discussions on the movie have turned into such a big battle. Really, all I want to focus on is what happened - what it means to you, what inspirations you have been given.

For those who have seen the movie - what inspirations did you receive from it?

For others, what inspirations do you have in general?

**Please no arguing about the movie on here. I just want to worship the Lord through this thread. OK?

One of the inspirations I had was the portrayal of the spiritual battle going on. I had recollection of an older song.

"Dragonslayer" ~ Michael Card

The star-led wizards came to see

Who might this newborn Dragonslayer be

He caused the serpents lies to cease

To win for us a never-ending peace

The serpent reared his ugly head

In the stillness of the Garden

To bite the Dragonslayer's heals

And defeat His plan of pardon

But the Mighty One provided for

The fallen ones instead

And the quest began to slay the beast

To finally crush his head

To finally crush his head

(snip)

Behold the Dragonslayer

He steals the serpent's scream

Stops his accusations

He spoils the dragon's dream

Behold the Dragonslayer

He died to set us free

The dragon tought he'd won then

It wasn't meant to be

It wasn't meant to be

It's not what you think though, I haven't seen the movie yet to be able to comment on it. I could have seen it opening day, but not only was it in Aramaic and Latin, it had French subtitles, Aargh! I think the english version is coming later this month.

Can't even say something about what the Lord's sacrifice means to you - a song that really grips your heart concerning it - a reflection of some kind - anything??

That's what I'm after.

Oh sure, why didn't you just say so, I can do THAT! Sorry, I guess I was just having a thick headed moment or something. Bad joke huh!

Well, what the Lord's sacrifice means to me........LIFE! Life itself! The Lord is my rescuer, my lifesaver, my light and my salvation, my lifegiver, my heart and my blood, without him I would surely be lost. He has rescued and redeemed me and taught my heart to know the utmost joy and overwhelming and unending unconditional love.

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained

Too deeply for mirth or song,

As the burdens press, and the cares distress

And the way grows weary and long?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,

His heart is touched with my grief;

When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,

I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark

With a nameless dread and fear?

As the daylight fades into deep night shades,

Does He care enough to be near?

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,

His heart is touched with my grief;

When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,

I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when I

Hold Me Jesus

Rich Mullins

Sometimes my life just don't make sense at all

When the mountains look so big

And my faith just seems so small

So hold me Jesus, I'm shaking like a leaf

You have been King of my glory

Won't You be my Prince of Peace

And I wake up in the night and feel the dark

It's so hot inside my soul

There must be blisters on my heart

So hold me Jesus, I'm shaking like a leaf

You have been King of my glory

Won't You be my Prince of Peace

Surrender don't come natural to me

I'd rather fight You for something I don't really want

Than to take what You give that I need

And I've beat my head against so many walls

I'm falling down, I'm falling on my knees

And this Salvation Army band is playing this hymn

And Your grace rings out so deep

It makes my resistance seem so thin

Oh, hold me Jesus, I'm shaking like a leaf

You have been King of my glory

Won't You be my Prince of Peace

Oh, hold me Jesus, I'm shaking like a leaf

You have been King of my glory

Won't You be my Prince of Peace

You've been King of my glory

Won't You be my Prince of Peace

Not really, it's because I live in rural Quebec, La Belle Province! It's really Catholic here. I could go to the city to see it but I'll probably just wait for the english version to arrive, it'll be less crowded. :help:

I may have said this in one of the other threads, but sometime during the scourging the phrase from Ray Boltz "I pledge allegiance to the Lamb, with ALL my strength, with ALL I am." kept running through my head. Christ's perfection and his perfect love for us became quite clear. I felt totally unworthy as I watched this love poured out for us, and realized how many opportunities I had missed to show God's love to others. I'm still tearing up as I type this. It has had a profound affect on all my interactions, and has prompted me to action in many things that I had been putting off.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
