Have you ever read the Bible or seen something that just has you marvel over God? Somethings that just makes you think... not in a deep or thoughtful way but your just laughing and what he does? I wonder if he is as playful and joyful as I imagine him to be.. because I love to play and joke sround.

Think about this... have you ever seen God PROUD of his creations? "Yessss" I hear you saying, "he was proud of Jesus!" Right! But.. Have you ever seen God make a recommendation? ..... :emot-pray:

Job 1: 6-8

6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them. 7 The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?"

Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."

8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."

Do you realize what he just did?!! Hahahaha! What a recommendation! Now whenever I hear about someone making a Job Recommendation.. this is always going to come to mind! hahahaha..

I bet there were times where Job wished he could have seen the job description in advance

You know, last Sunday night or Wednesday night, my pastor spoke about taking your spiritual life too seriously. I've always seen God as being nothing but serious. I know that He knows that we're weak and won't always be perfect, but I seem to be on edge, just waiting for Him to tell me to do something, especially to witness to somebody. :emot-handshake:

However, there was one Easter Sunrise service where a guy had a word from God for me: "He's pleased with you." Man, that tears me up even now and I got that years ago.

God, please help me to know the real You and stop seeing you the way my stern and emotionally distant dad was.

I know how you feel... I was feeling comndemned and hurt and as if I couldn't make up to God what I did to him. But then I received messages from ppl reminded me of the prodigal son.. and one man even said to me "Remember that you are greatly loved". There was no doubt in my mind these messages were from God, he loves you Zadok Rox.

GOD BLESS YOU

Thanks, Blien. Lord, please help me to accept this and keep it in mind. In Jesus' name, amen.

well, i know this scripture made me chuckle when i first read it and i still get it a kick out of three weeks later. i never enjoyed a psalm better than this one, its from psalm 94:

8 Take heed, you senseless ones among the people;

you fools, when will you become wise?

9 Does he who implanted the ear not hear?

Does he who formed the eye not see?

10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish?

Does he who teaches man lack knowledge?

11 The LORD knows the thoughts of man;

he knows that they are futile.

love it! :emot-fail:

I like that one. How about Paul's sarcasm? I bursted out in laugher when I read it the first time..

Paul Boasts About His Sufferings

16I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then receive me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting. 17In this self-confident boasting I am not talking as the Lord would, but as a fool. 18Since many are boasting in the way the world does, I too will boast. 19You gladly put up with fools since you are so wise! 20In fact, you even put up with anyone who enslaves you or exploits you or takes advantage of you or pushes himself forward or slaps you in the face. 21To my shame I admit that we were too weak for that!
HAHAHAHA!!

What anyone else dares to boast about

just found more! :noidea:

1Corinthians1:15 so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.)

the last part is just funny cos thats not a line i would expect to see in the bible. its so...just so casual .... i dont know, its funny!

and then 1Corinthians 1:21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

it reminds me of how sometimes we try sooo hard to appeal to man with the words that come out of our mouths...preaching up a storm...and yet God is probably thinking, what is this foolishness that she is saying? but at least she is trying! lol.

Man, in all seriousness though. Those verses have some heavy connotations too. It just makes you appreciate how many levels of meaning there are to some verses..

Oh Blien, God doesn't "comdemn" HIS Christian spirits! He may convict your spirit in you, but He has already told us that HE will only "condemn" those who disobey HIM and refuse to believe in HIM or Repent to HIM!

P.S. I am discerning you have a pure spirit!

Blessings

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
