I'd say they probably go with the seperatists false doctrine and say that the old testament law is done away with, and the other false doctrine that we can not live sinless in this life. That's the only way any false doctrine can be supported. It's an imitation by satan of God's way of teaching us doctrine line upon line precept upon precept here a little there a little. The main thing for all True believers is not to compromise on any sin because the word tells you if you accept any of anyones sins it's the same as doing them yourself.

and the way in which they "interpret it away" is by saying that the words were misinterpreted when translated to the english language. of course, when you point out the hebrew and greek words and definitions, they claim that those are incorrect translations.

there's one who has been posting here frequently on this topic... i'm sure he'll give you an earful of that kind of nonsense, whether you want it or not.

I don't want this thread to turn into women in the ministry - but I just want to state my ground. My mom is a pastor and I see nothing wrong with it. The verses in Timothy aren't talking about women in the ministry. Paul is talking about the unruley congregation members.

I really don't have a problem with female ministers, but I do have a problem with lesbian ministers....they're not the same thing...
