WEll, im finally giving up! all my labor is in vain . I've become apathetic. My relationship with the Lord is broken because of my sin! It just seems utterly hopeless to cry out to Him anymore . ive tryed to stick n there I guess im never satisfied. Im just giving up . I know after everything He's done how selfish i am i admit the truth . Theres just nothing no desire for Him or to try anymore im weak where has the love gone. I Just don't know what to do anymore it isn't like I just don't feel God its what ive done to deserve what im going through despair . What am I suppose to do . I just fall back each time i try to go forward .

Jenn, I can sympathize with what you are feeling. There are alot of discouraging times in all our lives, Just remember that we often don't see the fruit of our labor in this life. Our treasures and rewards are laid up in heaven for us. This life is so short, don't be discouraged

I don't think it's wrong, or selfish to admit you are discouraged, you can let your brothers and sisters in Christ know, and we can help uplift you.

I think we all go through ups and downs in our spiritual walk.

Just pray, and pour out all you are feeling to God. You will feel an emotional release. Sometimes for me just singing praise music to God rejuvenates me.

JENN,

I looked up a few of the Lord's promises for you. When you feel as if you cannot pray, that is the time to press in a little harder. Sometimes I have to say to the Lord," Help me pray, for I don't know what to pray for." He's always there when we call on Him. Don't give up...joy comes in the morning...the trials we go through are only temporary. The Lord knows your need. Every time I have felt as if I was going two steps forward and one back the Lord was bringing me to a deeper walk with Him.

Once I was so discouraged that I just lay in bed feeling as if I couldn't pray. The Holy Spirit stirred my heart to just whisper praise, to begin to thank the Father for each new day and all that He has in it. To bless the Lord because He is good. Pretty soon there was a new strength rising in my spirit. It is amazing how He is always there to lift us up when we call unto Him.

"We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed. we are perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted but not frosaken, struck down but not destroyed." 2Corinthians 4:8-9

"As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame: He remembers that we are dust." Psalms 103:13-14

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:6-7

"Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise." Hebrews 10:35-36

There is also a little chorus that I love to sing when I need to be reminded I have not arrived yet. eg...I am not what I used to be, but I am also not what I am going to be.

"He's still working on me, to make me what I ought to be. It took Him just a week to make the earth and stars sun and moon and jupiter and mars. How loving and patient He must be, He's still working on me."

Jesus hugs from your sister in the Lord

p.s.

now when trying times come and discouragement tries to peek it's ugly head up I remember what the Lord did for me then and I am encouraged. I know He'll do it again.

"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary...wait I say, upon the Lord."

e3I know how you feel. It seems every step forward I take leads me two step back.

sometimes I just want to say forget it. I'm to tired to go on, to fight this world anymore. Theres times when fighting seems an endless battle and then just when I think that this world has won and that I give up I remeber our Lord and what he did for me and you on that cross. I remember his words as he spoke to his disciples "The servant is not above the master. If they prosecute me they'll prosecute you." I understand that to mean that I will not only be attacked by humans for believing and walking with Jesus Christ, but that Satan himself will try his best to destory everything in my life especially my state of mind. Jesus said Through him we are free. Isaiah 40-10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." You may not feel him around you, but your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will never ever leave you.

What I do when I feel discouraged and alone is take a deep breath, close my eyes and think of nothing, but Jesus. I thank him for everything that I'm going through because I know if I was sailing through life it means that this world excepts me and that I am not of him. I thank him, because I know that everything that I am going through right now Satan intents to use for my destruction, but Jesus is going to use it to move me to the next step in my walk with him. Please don't believe Satan's lies. His plan is for you to give up. He wants you to forget that he's already lost. He knows that his time is almost up. This is a verse from a song that I've heard a few times. "He never said that the cross will not get heavy or the hill hard to climb. He never said that you wouldn't have to fight, he said help will always come in time so just hold on the Lord will show up and get you through the fire in time."

Once you became his child your fight is no longer your, but his. Let him fight it.

God Bless

Oh my jenn, this is so sad.

You are not alone. Even Elijah wanted death as he was so depressed. So did Jonah and others.

We all go through these valleys from time to time. God uses these times to refine and strengthen us, to bring us closer to Himself. Jenn, that's where He wants YOU, closer to Him, because He loves you so much. If He didn't love love you, He'd just let you go the way of the world. You are His. He is your Daddy. He is refining you because He loves you.

When we're in the fire, it is very unpleasant, but He has you there to bring you closer to Himself. That's how much He loves you. He doesn't want you to drift away in the false riches of this world. He has you where He wants you right now, being refined, thus to bring you forth more bright!

Hang in there girl and just TRUST Him. He LOVES YOU!!! :il:

My relationship with the Lord is broken because of my folly!

.... its what ive done to deserve what im going through despair.

Jenn, I want you to think hard on this Psalm, OK?

Psalm 130

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD ;

2 O Lord, hear my voice.

Let your ears be attentive

to my cry for mercy.

3 If you, O LORD , kept a record of sins,

O Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness;

therefore you are feared.

5 I wait for the LORD , my soul waits,

and in his word I put my hope.

6 My soul waits for the Lord

more than watchmen wait for the morning,

more than watchmen wait for the morning.

7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD ,

for with the LORD is unfailing love

and with him is full redemption.

8 He himself will redeem Israel

from all their sins.

Prayers and blessings!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
