We're in something like a deep sleep, unaware of any thing until Jesus reclaims the world. Now when Jesus was on the cross one of the men asked him to remember him when he goes to heaven and Jesus if I'm remembering right said that that man would be in heaven with him that day. (correct? ) Do we go straight to heaven or do we go into limbo until Jesus comes back? God Bless Jacqueline

Jehovah's Witnesses also believe we are unaware after death until a future resurrection. The Bible teaching is that we will be in the presence of God immediately at death. We will not receive a glorified body until the future resurrection. 2 Cor. 5:8 Phil. 1:21-

Phil. 1:21-25 I'm not familiar with annihilation. Is it the annihilation of the spirit?

This is a heretical teaching. God does not destroy the created spirit that will live forever with Him or separated from Him. Soul sleep would apply to the righteous who will one day wake up to abide with God; the wicked will be resurrected to judgment and destruction (false teaching). Well that seems more like the loving God that I know. Herbert Armstrong used to teach the same thing. I didn't know anyone else thought that. However, I can't remember ever reading scripture that would lead me to think in that direction. How in the world did they come up with something like that???
