Hello my friends in Christ,

I am married for some years now and when I married I believed I was marrying a believer. Now, he believes Jesus saved him, but does not like the "hyprocrites in the church", does not go to church, does not pray with me, does not care that his 19 yr old daughter sleeps with her boyfriend, etc. He treats me as if I do not exist...he had a rough upbringing with a mean father and an over protective mother, so he cannot share feelings or feel empathy. He is always in self-protection mode, suspicious of other's motives, non-trusting of others, I could go on and on. I'm a basket case as well, and I am emotionally needful of affection as I lost my dad as a kid, and I have abandonment issues, so I'm not just trying to bad rap him, just lay some groundwork about why I am concerned about his salvation. I guess the worst thing is he doesn't ever feel convicted by the Holy Spirit when he does something wrong. I, on the other hand, am a miserable Christian because I am so angry at him and God constantly reminds me of my sin of unforgiveness and my anger at my husband for deceiving me.

Be that as it may, I will remain married, as that is God's will, and he is not abusing me...just passive aggressive stuff. But....please just pray I will be given my heart's prayer...wisdom and understanding...not from myself, but from God...and that I will do as Jesus would...love this man completely and not take what he does to hurt me personally. Right now, I do not like him, do not care to talk to him. He never has any affection for me, or wants to be with me at all, so it's easy to stay apart from him, but emotionally, I would love for him to submit to God's will for our marriage. and that we could both get on our knees together and be blessed as a Christian couple, and be healed of our selfishness and emotional hurts. Thanks to anyone who reads this and will pray for me and him.

My marriage of 28 yrs was much like yours. Only my spouse was so abusive....I had to leave till he went for help. We lived separately for 6 yrs. We never had intentions of divorcing as there wasn't scriptural grounds to do so.

Let me tell you that I spent many times crying out to the Lord why things couldn't During the the last year of our yrs apart he and I began Christian marriage counseling from our church. It took years of praying for that to happen but God made a life changing working through the counseling. We are now back together and have never been happier.

If God can work in me and my husband he can work through the two of you! I am sure He can work in your marriage, but it takes two people willing to change. I hope and pray that this will help you in some way.

God Bless,

Kathy

It's so easy to get angry. That comes from hurt. I am so sorry that you are going through such awful things. But God hears your prayer. My marraige wasn't quite like yours, but my husband drank, never abused me but had much anger in him, and wasn't a Christian. I never should have married him, but I did. Then I prayed (should have prayed first!). It took a few years, but my husband is now totally committed to Christ, gave up drinking years ago, and his anger is gone.

Could you talk with you pastor alone for counseling? It's hard, I know, but turn it over to God. You can't force your husband to accept Christ as he should, and you aren't responsible for his actions. You can give your thoughts and actions to Jesus and allow Him to work through you.

Heavenly Father,

There is such a need here for Your love and healing. Please open this man's eyes and let him see his need for You. Help him to become a Godly husband and father. Cover this family with Your love and soften their hearts.

In Christ's name I pray

Amen

God.........aughhhhhhhhhhh. So hard. So debilitating. Where is this marriage without you?

I pray for a revelation of Jesus Christ in both Laura and her husband. Bring life where there is no life.

He has professed faith in you Jesus. If he is in your hand already Lord then you will not let him go, but you can speak to him. If he does not truly belong to you yet, I pray you birth in him a hunger to turn to you. Either way lord, you have the power to affect change in this life and the union that makes them one.

Please Lord hear this prayer and move supernaturally if necessary. Show mercy and your favor to Laura and husband.

If Lord the path is to be, as with previous posts, longer than a few minutes. Then I ask your grace abound in Laura to sustain her in your Joy and peace through out the process.

Jesus you are the best and there is no other like you. Amen

I'm praying for you both and strongly recommend reading "The Power of a Praying Wife" by Stormie Omartian. If you're interested in this book and can't find it, feel free to pm me and I'll give you a link.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
