as you know ive hit a very very tought time in my life. ive been praying so long that i find someone to hug and hold onto and feel special with if only for one night once a week. this week i think i found her. we slept together the first time we met and again last nite when i saw her. do you think god could have sent her for me to help her get to know him. or is this just a test ive failed flat out becuase im looking for something so desperately in a time of crisis?

God definitely did NOT bring her into your life so that you could get to know her carnally. God doesn't put sin in our hearts. you just met this girl, and have already had sex with her. how does that line up with what you know about God? God's will is for us to get to know a person, marry them, and THEN have sex.

i'm sorry you're going through a tough time in your life. God will give you the strength to weather the storm, if you allow Him to. but this woman, and even your desire for a woman to hold close and feel intimate with, is only going to prolong your difficulty overcoming this crisis.

I haven't bothered to read the other posts, because in my mind the answer is very clear. Premarital sex is wrong, simply wrong. You're trying to rationalize it with religious motives.

You think this is God's way of leading her to salvation? No, I don't think that God would ever want us to sin for that purpose.

I think Reaperman's thread is serious. I've seen him here before. I think he's misguided and came here for help. That's all.

Reaperman. I guess you got your answer.

Instead of praying for comfort in another, pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort you. It doesn't sound like you're ready for a relationship. Once your okay on your own, God will send someone your way.

Reaperman to say your post is disturbing is putting it lightly. I agree that God does not send you someone in your life to "sleep" with and get to know Him. What you have described is plain fornication, pure and simple and satan isprobally behind it.

Instead of wanting to have a physical relationship with those of the opposite sex right off the at get to know them (No not carnally). Seek God's wisdom in the matter. After all Jesus didn't sleep with women who came into His life but still came to know and be their friend.

Marital relations is just that you should be married to enjoy the fruits. After all why buy the cow when the milk is free is the standard that the world hold. Christians do not hold themselves to the same standard. Does God have someone out there waiting for you? I don't know. Not everyone is destined to be married.

But on the medical side of sleeping with partners think of the disease that can be spread, knowingly or unknowingly. Babies concieved in lust that have no parental unit to look forward to. Is that fair to them? No it isn't. Every child deserves a mother and a father who is in the picture and that picture should be as a married couple.

If you want to know God, ask Him. Pray to God to show you the way to Him. Find a church that is biblical and go to the services. Who knows Ms. right may be there waiting for you but only in God's time not yours.

Meanwhile try to control your emotions and lust because that just leads to heartache and pain.

Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
