Dear reaperman,

The Who Is Jesus. Don't follow man, but follow Jesus. You cannot do that if you're not listening to Him, and the way to listen to Jesus, is to read His Word. That is where you need to look. Begin each day with the Bible. Begin in the Gospels.

Matthew

Mark

Luke

John

In His Love,

good advice tsh, and reaperman, if you have religion you need to lose it. What you need is relationship There is a big difference. Religion brings death but relationship brings life. Relationship with Yeshua (Jesus) is what real life is all about!

Let me help by asking you a few questions.

First, in the Old Testament, where did God command the children of Israel to worship?

Recently, a Raider's piece of news said that the overwhelming majority of christian denominations support abominations like homosexuality ("gay marriage") and abortion (the link: http://www.worthyboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7819).

The biblical truth is that Jesus Christ founded one Church only, denominations only appear once the "cat of schism is out of the bag" (the so-called Reformation) and of course, any person today can "found a Church" and name it "the true, reformed church of Jesus Christ the authentic Lord" but the reality is that ain't so.

Jesus Christ founded one Church with one authority because the truth is one. The confusion you are into right now is a product of Satan's action and influence on history but Jesus Christ Himself said that despite the false prophets, the truth would always remain till the very last day.

Leave confusion and embrace the only biblical truth, that's God's will.

Actually, this is not true. First of all, the article said that an "overwhelming majority" of Christian support abortion, and that a "large contingient" of Christians can be found at homosexual gatherings and pro-abortion gatherings. What the article did not say was what and "overwhelming majority" was or what a "large contingient" consists of. These are vague terms. The article does not address how many Christians, if any, were polled concerning the issues of homosexuality and abortion. Nor does it reference any statistical information from outside sources.

Mobile, I think that you are trying to add to the poor picture that the article painted of "the overwhelming majority" of Christians in order to promote the RCC as "the pure church." Now, this is just my opinion - and we will not go into the gay problem the RC has had for the "overwhelming majority" of its history - but I think the problems in the church at large have nothing to do with the matter of our need as the church to gain more of Christ. Do you?

The biblical truth is that Jesus Christ founded one Church only, denominations only appear once the "cat of schism is out of the bag" (the so-called Reformation) and of course, any person today can "found a Church" and name it "the true, reformed church of Jesus Christ the authentic Lord" but the reality is that ain't so.

This is a low view of what the church is. You need to read your history. The term "Catholic" means "universal." We know that the RC once had the proper view of the "church universal" according to the Bible. But now we know that the RC has lowered the status of the church to a particular sect - that being the Roman Catholic Church. When the Lord looks at "the church" He is viewing all those who have been redeemed by His blood and saved by His life. The church is neither brick and morter, nor is it particular human organization such as the Roman Church or others. The church is the Body of Christ, the One New Man, the Bride of Christ, the New Jerusalem. It is the organic composition of all the redeemed children of God, who constitute God's household.

Leave confusion and embrace the only biblical truth, that's God's will.

In other words, leave Christianity and join the RC, right?

From what I've heard you speak of in previous posts, it sounds to me like you've lost any religion you might have had.

What are you looking for in Christ?

Grace to you,

Reaperman,

God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. He was, is, and is to come.

The Just shall walk by Faith in Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone.

God was walking along with man in the Garden. There was fellowship there Creator with Creation. There was Love and nothing between the two. Then slam sin came down like a wall. You see the Lord is Righteous. The sin of mans disobedience caused separation.

God payed a heavy price to restore that relationship. To tear down the wall. Since before Creation God knew. God knew the separation would come. He prepared a way. Why? He Loves us so very much.

The only way He could break down the wall was to pay the price we our unrighteous selves could not. There is nothing we can do in our own lost state to pay for our sin. There is no higher cost. Than what was paid. It is done.

Religion is mans attempt to repair the seperation. To pay a price. In effect all man does in this effort is rebuild the wall already torn down. Placing himself once more behind a veil a flesh and seperating himself once more from God.

James says True religion is this;

Christianity is about Faith. It is about obedience. It is about a realtionship with The Living Lord God. It is about Love!  It is not about a particular denomination or set of Religious practices. Execute True Judgment , practice True Religion. As the realtionship builds the rest will follow. You will end up in the aisle of the Lords will. There is favor in that.

Peace,

Dave

WOW! Right on Dave :t2:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
