That how much she has to pay to get out of jail.

Actually she only needs to come up with 10% of that. In my state at least.....I don't know if it varies across the country.

Well folks, after reading all this thread, I really dont know what the solution is. There's always been guns available and there always will be. no kind of legislation will stop some one from shooting someone else if they set in their minds that they will do it. It's too late. The stable doors are open and the horses have bolted.

It's all part of the fallen world we are apart of and we have to accept it. where I live if someone wants someone dead they use knives machetes, or baseball bats. And we can't blame hollywood for everything. Script writers get their ideas from a lot of whats happening under their noses.

Why can't you just call it "bail" like everyone else?

"bail" is the 10% that you pay to a bail bondsman.... "bond" is the amount set by the judge.

when you go to a bail bondsman, you pay 10% down, and the bondsman guarantees the rest to the courts.

I'm not sure there is a solution. I lived in that underworld before I got saved, and if I wanted a gun and had the money, I could find someone to sell me one -- gun laws or not. I've also known people who decided to try and take someone out and they used whatever was handy - knives, tire irons, machetes, baseball or cricket bats, wrenches, screwdrivers. Lots of "dangerous objects" lay around the average house.

Bottom line: someone want to harm another they will find a way to do it.
