Dear Christians of America:

I call onto my church family for support, prayers, and faith. Today, the ELCA Lutheran Church is struggling with the isssue of homosexulaity. I am trying to get 1000 sigantures to make a stand against it. I realize that our God is a God full of love and compassion for everyone, and that everyone should be able to come and be involved in a church. However, I do have a rpoblem with the ordination of gay or lesbian bishops or pastors in the ELCA Lutheran church. The Bible is very clear on the issue of homosexuality. Now, I watch the church i love argue about homosexuality. This is not an arguement. This is a minority talking while the body of Christ remains silient, allowing them to win. If we reamin remain silient, they will win. If we bond together and stand tall, we have a chance. My church votes on homosexuality in 2 weeks. May other churches vote in the next 3 weeks. This is not regional or even state issue. This is the national ELCA Lutheran church trying to ordain homosexual bishops and pastos. Please sign this petition against homosexual bishops and pastors in the ELCA Lutheran Chruch and foward this to anyone you know. If you are the 1000th person to sign or would like to write a letter to the Bishop, Mark Hanson, regarding this matter, please send your letter and the petition to faithfuljourney@elca.org

Please join me in lifting out church to God in prayer.

IN Faith we stand. IN faith we walk.

I am not at all surprised about this. I too was an ELCA but left them long ago, I should say they left me long ago, when they began denying the inerrancy of the Bible. They have gone way liberal and their declining attendance shows.

If you believe in the traditional Lutheran doctrine, I suggest you investigate either the Missouri or Wisconsin synods. But remember, all Lutheranism teaches the amillennial doctrine. If you agree with that then definitely check out the synods I mentioned.

I see no petition to sign. Is there a web-site with one? Since we cannot edit your post, I see no practical way to add names to a petition. Also, other than me, I doubt there are very many confirmed Lutherans here and i would assume you have to belong to that Synod to have your opinion count.

In His Love,

Bro John

The Lutheran church is not the only church going through this

So is the Methodist

My mother attends a Methodist church and she says the denomination is splitting over it

sad; satan; divides; and tries to conquers; however our LORD is in control

and is our Conquerer

Sis Kay,

we are becoming very divided. Exactly what Satan wants. He is very effective in these last days.

Read some of Dad Ernies comments on the subject. He has great insight.

Love you,

John :il:

Nothing that happens in this world surprises me any more. In the bible it states that in the last days there will be a church without God. This sadly is just the beginning. May God Bless America. :D

God Bless

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

River, go read "Prophecy of America" in the prophecy forum, then read the Bible, then seek God and tell us what you think.

If we truly love the homosexual, we will tell them the truth of Gal 5th chap....that those who live like that will not enter the kingdom of God. That's love.............but if we hate them, we'll keep our mouths shut until they just die in their sin.

In his love,

Brian

I agree with what you say. If any pastor of any church is afraid to stand up and tell his congregation that if a person dies in his/her sin of sexual immorality they will be prevented from entering the kingdom of God, Gal,5:19-21 and therefore will have their blood on his hands.

The bible cant be more clear on this particular subject.

There might be such a person that is a homosexual believer in Christ, but there certainly wont be any homosexual saints. otherwise Rev.21:8 is a lie. and I wont buy that one. If you die a practising homosexual, you'll burn. Now God said that and I'm merely repeating it. Furthermore I never argue with God, so if you dont agree with what I have posted, keep your silence. thank you.

cheers'

eric.

There is a methodist church close to me and they have a huge sign on the front that says "we are pro-choice" and there were picketers who I guess were the congregation and their signs said "we welcome homosexuals".

Did you ever think that the reason why Christians may be "silent" is because this is God's will? We all know this is supposed to happen so why do we act surprised when we start to see it in action?

This is God's prophetic Word coming alive. Rejoice.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
