I love this verse! This is certainly a favorite and one that I recommend often to those who are in a worried state of mind or having troubled thoughts. I used to be a real worry-wart and remembering verses like this has really calmed my soul in times of turmoil.

I'd like to make a point, though, if you can bare with me for a minute. I tried to explain to athiests once why the Bible seems to be full of contradictions when it is not and I think they actually 'got it'. I told them that the Bible is a spiritual book that really makes sense only to believers. One person may contemplating a divorce, who, with God's insight from the Bible, may feel led to actually get a divorce. Another person thinking of divorce, with God's insight from the Bible, might feel led to stay and work on the marriage. Both answers may be found in the Bible, but unless your led by the spirit of God, you won't get the answer that's right for you personally.

If you think about it, I could also easily find verses that would support what this thread is all about. Verses about knowing your adversary and being well aware of his tricks and deceit and exposing his deceit and the deceit of evildoers.

Not meant as judgement, but why dwell on these things? We have a promise, a hope of eternal life with our Lord. That is the message we should be sharing.

Yes, we Christians do have a great hope of glory but the unsaved do not.

There is a time for everything,

and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

Weeping and mourning don't seem to fit with the verse posted on thinking only of the positive and good things. Is this a contradiction? No. Again, there is a season to everything. To those who are going through a spiritual battle of depression, the verse of dwelling on the positive and good is perfect and exactly what they need to hear.

However, if we beleive we are in a time of great deception, this may be the season (maybe not for all of us but some) to expose it. Some may not believe in Christ or accept him now, but if we expose the coming deception now, they may suddenly believe when a massive dissappearance of people actually happens.

I think this is very important. In fact, some think the rapture could happen at any time and that within weeks of the event, the Christian sites will all be taken down. Maybe we should have a thread that specifically tells seekers what has happened - where the people have really gone. Information to those who will suddenly be looking for some. Just a thought.

Interesting indeed. I have a hard time responding because so many who post on "Spiritual Warfare" have gone so far beyond what is written in Scriptures that they would not know true evil from Taco Bell indigestion.

I don't suppose you would care to share the name of this famous six fingered UN giant?

Hiya Everyone and Blessings of Christ upon you!!

You all have so many worthy questions! I want to thank our Lord God for the discernment and wisdom He gives those that seek it and simply ask for it for it is ours to have!

Just to catch up a bit...I've been sick for the past couple of weeks and just now getting on my feet a bit so I've not been avoiding anyone in the least!! But I thank Jesus for pulling me through and now back to the business of spreading the Good News about our salvation!!! My first and foremost calling!

I'm going to address the most prevalent question thus far. Bear with me as I'm still not back to being on my feet just yet. The answer to the question about people who are in this area of ministry having been involved in the occult is yes. Having spoken with many, many Christians who are called into this area of spiritual warfare do indeed have a background in the occult somehow. As for myself I was delivered out of the occult 16 or so years ago and delivered right into the Hands of the Holy Spirit!!! I'm now a born-again, blood-bought, servant of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen and Amen! Now, I can't say that EVERY Christian that is called into this area has been involved in the occult, but I do know that many have been. What is so God about it is that once the spiritual blinders have been removed from those involved in it, it is usually some area of spiritual warfare that God calls them into. God is going to use anything and everything in our lives to glorify Him and what a wonderful way to use His child's past to be a testimony!!!

Now, I do NOT believe that everyone that has had a "sighting" or any type of "alien" experience must be or must have been involved in the occult. Remember, Satan is not selective for he preys upon all of us. Praise BE to God for the whole armor!!! Ephesians 6:10-18. So, what I'm saying is that not everyone that has had a sighting, etc., is involved in the occult in any form, but most that are called into this area of spiritual warfare as Christians usually have had some contact or involvement with it.

I can assure you that no doors in my life are open to any of the occult anymore, praise God! I renounce it, rebuke it, and plead the blood of Christ over my life DAILY! My only calling for God in this area that is is to plant the seeds of what the enemy is doing on the horizon, so to speak. I'll use this simple analogy...if there is a thief in your backyard stealing things, would you prefer to know or not know? I personally want to know if anyone or anything is prowling around my home and property so that they may be exposed and dealt with! In the area of spiritual warfare it is no different! We are to expose the enemy, deal with him on the level God has spoken to us about in His Word, and then move on with the first and foremost calling and that is telling everyone about the Great Hope they have in Jesus Christ and the precious eternal life we can have with Him if we only accept Him, pick up our cross and follow Him, and spread the "Good News"!

I encourage each of you to find someone, anyone in your daily lives to tell about Jesus. Be it the check-out person at your grocery or convenient store or department store, etc.! I simply ask the person the Lord puts in my path if they know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior! You will be amazed at how many have not accepted Him!!!! One young lady in a local dept. store here in Mississippi was checking me out and she seemed so sad. When I asked her if she knew about Jesus, His plan for her life, and His gift of salvation she had no idea what I was talking about! With about 4 or 5 customers in line behind me and right along with her manager who I asked to come over this young woman accepted Jesus! The manager said she never knew this about her employee and said it would be her mission to ask everyone she comes into contact with if they know Jesus! Praise BE to God! Now, I tell you this story not to be in a boasting spirit whatsoever but as an example of how each of us can touch lives each and everyday!

Knowing what I know about what Satan and his imps are up to? I make it my goal to see to it that the Lord sends someone my way everyday. If nothing else, you leave seeds along the way...seeds that the Lord God Himself, along with the Holy Spirit, will water!!! As far as the rest of my calling in this area of Christian ufology? I go where the Lord leads and I speak of it only as He opens the opportunities to! As I said, be a seed planter, but first and foremost always be a preacher of the Gospel!!!

Well, I hope that answered a few questions. I've missed each and everyone of you and your input to this topic is enlightening indeed! If you'll be a bit more patient with me I will provide a great many Scriptures in accordance with this topic and of course back up with Scripture what I go forth and share.

As for now I pray all the Lord's sweetest blessings upon you and tell you that I love you through our Lord Jesus!!!

Hiya Everyone

I want to give you this link to look over. It is a lot to take in at this site, but this particular page is the same Scriptures I also use in this study of ufos/fallen angels and the whole phenomena Biblically speaking. I think you will find this all very sound and Scripturally backed and that as Christians ultimately we are all on the same path of exposing Satan and helping others to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior!
