Last time I read 1 John 2:6, it still said this:

Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

And last time I read 1 John 1:8-10 it read -

1 John 1:8-10

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

Seems to me someone's in a lotta trouble....but I don't think scripture is as ambiguous as this may seem...

Please note from Barns Commentary -

1 John 2:6 -

He that saith, he abideth in him - Greek,

keslc: I think we finally made the breakthrough in communication. That's the only problem with the internet...you really can't "see" the person or explain things quite as well on a terminal as you can in person.

On the otherhand...I can sit here in my pajamas, my hair messed, with a cup of java ...and not worry if anyone sees me in my pj's, looking like I just crawled out of bed....and I can post at all hours of the day or night and not worry about time schedules.

So ...there's plus's and minus's either way...

Bob Triez: I'm in the same boat. I've tried to live a sinless life but cannot. I have real high standards, though...and set the bar pretty high.

I think people often define "sin" differently....for instance, does everyone give to others without asking anything back? How many people turn the other cheek?

I can do a lot of things but there are some areas I struggle with...I can give and expect nothing in return but that's very difficult for some people to do, depending on your life experiences.

We all have areas of weakness that we struggle with...and sin is a word that is defined differently by people depending on their own personal understanding of the word.

Maybe that's my problem Cats....my bar is set pretty high as well. Maybe what I consider as "sin" would not be by someone else. So if I spent all day with this person and we did everything together, he/she may not feel they've sinned yet I might be able count 1, 2 5, maybe 10 or 20 sins we did.

I don't know the answer to that, and I can't judge someone's heart....maybe this is just all too subjective to be in agreement about (???)

Thanks for your thoughts

Right! I sometimes wish I could call up people I meet on the internet to talk over something with them, lol! Hmmm, I wish we could hear intonation over the internet, lol! Thanks for your patience with me in all of this! God Bless!

-Let us deal with the Bible alone as our supreme authority and get away from our understanding.

-I have seen a lot of opinions and misrepresentations of Scripture.

Now I will tell you the TRUTH.

John 8:34

I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

-1 John 1:8-10

- If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

- If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to

-cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

-If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

-WeLLLLLLLL,Mr. dime-ministry-sir--YOU have come on this board proclaiming your

-INNOCENCE--TOTALLY-SIN-FREE-LIFESTYLE---WHICH can plainly be seen as

-totally in VIOLATION of 1st..John.vss.8.thru.10----SO it would seem as tho your

-accusations of----

I have seen a lot of opinions and misrepresentations of Scripture.

-are just slightly UNTRUE-per your own words when compared to the light of "the

-Scriptures of TRUTH"--This "doctrine of sinlessness" is nothing new but rather an

-old phylosophy of such renowned ministers of religious precepts as jim jones--

-hindu-metaphysical-enlightment-guru{forget the name just now}but was asked to

-leave united States soil or face charges of fraud--brain-washing--& several other

-unsavory practices,so he sold off his fleet of Rolls-Royce luxury automobiles given

-to him by his adoring flock of deceived followers & immediately fled U.S.

-jurisdiction...SO,mr dime ministry sir you seem to be walking in somewhat dubious

-& dangerous footsteps-with this theory of sinlessness...tsk.tsk.tsk.which is plainly

-refuted by scripture.....I would suggest that you might consider returning to a

-reputable--mainline--seminary-that teaches "The Entire gamut of Theological

-Doctrine"& leave this UNscriptural Erroneous doctrine which will only lead to

-dire consequences for you & any that would accept & follow this deceptive

-phylosophy.....

-Sin (we sin sometimes and are practicing repentance - we are not controlled by our lower natures etc.)

Sinners (denote no repentance which would indicate a nonChristian)

Note: the fact that you claim you don't sin, that also means you don't repent, so by definition you are a practicing sinner as stated as above- you see how that comes full circle? You have actually trapped yourself.

-ahhhhhhhh-BPC- :t2::t2::t2:

-To add just a mite more to go along with your most astute description of such a

-fallacious concept,consider the following;

-John.17.vss.22--23-----

--"The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.

-WE as followers & disciples of the LORD-JESUS-YESHUA-are "being-perfected"daily

-but we have NOT attained"THAT" state of perfection as yet nor can we until WE

-ARE "perfected" when & only when WE have been{COMPLETED--UNIFIED--

-JOINED}with -JESUS-YESHUA-when HE returns for HIS BRIDE--HIS PERFECTED

-COMPLETED CHURCH--WORTHY BRIDE--

-"perfect"-Gr. 5048-teleioo--to complete,i.e.-accomplish or {fig}consumate{in

-character}consecrate--finish--fulfil{make perfect}

-Gr.5046--teleios--completenes--of full age--complete in various applications of

-labor--growth--mental or moral character

-IS there any need for continued debate??Are the scriptures clear??Do the

-scriptures absolutely "Refute"this erroneous phylosophy??-Case closed---jury

-dismissed---------

-Eph.5.vss.8.thru.12-------

- "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), proving what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret"

Just kidding :t2:

I don't fall for the hookline-"don't you think with God all things are possible?" routine. Of course anything is possible with God, but Saved people are people still, nonetheless, until that Blessed Day! and subject to sin.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
