Calamity,

Are you saying that you HAVE to sin or that you can't help it?

I can do ALL things THROUGH CHRIST who strengthens me. :D

keslc:

Shadow, I don't think anyone is claiming the doctrine of "sinlessness", meaning we've reached perfection never to sin even once more.

I hate to be the sore thumb here, but I think this is exactly what is being claimed here, even from the very first post by the one who started the thread.

keslc:

My stance this entire thread has been that I believe people do not HAVE to sin.

keslc:

Perhaps the thread should be titled , "can we stop sinning". (which I believe yes, with Christ's help, we can)

ok, I see what you're saying. Let me clarify......

Shadow, I don't think anyone is claiming the doctrine of "sinlessness", meaning we've reached perfection never to sin even once more.

I know I'm not claiming that at least.

-QUOTE

If it was just about overcoming sin and being a good person I would have stopped my walk with Christ. I would have said... "Wow! I'm good now! I guess I'm done!"

quote from the Bible:

Mark.10

[18] And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

quote from compasskid:

QUOTE

The Lord is getting sick and wants you to know either you are in or you are out! Be one or the other!

Are you presuming to speak directly for God? This is what it sounds like, and also a couple of other posts you have made sound the same way. Or do you just prefer to paraphrase Scripture without giving the source? Excuse me, if I'm reading this wrong.

-YUPPP Calam --THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING---just like a poster WE had

-a while back passing himself off AS GOD'S ONE & ONLY mouthpiece for these last days now---

-Remember him???-ssshhheeesssjhhhh---Heyyyyyy Calam do you reckon WE are tha only ones that get to HEAR these last-days one & only prophets of GOD OR do other boards get the same crop????--Like they just RUN from board to board spewin out ALL this junk??sheeshh- :D - :D:o

Debbie

As long as I live and breathe in this body of FLESH, I will sin - whether or not it is deliberate. God can and will help us overcome things, but never to the point of sinlessness while in the flesh. It's not possible. Only Jesus ever did that.

Shadow, glad it wasn't just me that noticed those things. :D

I haven't been posting, but I make three! Good work Calam and Shadow. :D

(but Shadow, I think maybe you misread keslc's thread? - this quote

If it was just about overcoming sin and being a good person I would have stopped my walk with Christ. I would have said... "Wow! I'm good now! I guess I'm done!"

is meaning the opposite. She is being sarcastic I think. At least that's how I read it. :o )
