The article "15 Answers to Creationist Nonsense" in July 2002 "Scientific American" was what did it for me. I have an atrophied B.S. in Physics, but this article was in my opinion an excellent example of antiScience. The way i was taught Science, one takes the facts and the data and then, if appropriate, postulate theories. Come up with predictions and do experiments. Require the theory to be falsifyable. Always remain skeptical of both the data and the theory and especially oneself: be humble.

To me, just the tone of this article requires an apology. I also found flaws with the logic within the article .

I was given in the early 1980s [not by man] the knowledge that The Holy Bible [except for minor copyist and translation errors] IS The Word Of God. I was supernaturally born again at age 36 in 1980. Before that i both ignored and mocked The Holy Bible. Never read it. After being born again i "couldn't believe!" i was reading The Holy Bible. When i told people who knew me about this they thought i was kidding. Therefore i am biased against Evolution, since it is clearly a lie from the devil <John 8:44>: "In the beginning God created..."<Genesis 1:1>.

WOW.......

Well, this is one place I will make ONE post and then leave it be. (heh, although some of us are becoming accustomed to how that goes! hehe).

I don't understand why Christians WANT to discuss the evolution theory (emphasis on THEORY, as that is what it is usually referred to as). Our foundation and rock is the Word (Jesus). Jesus, being one with God, wrote the Book. Genesis tells us that God created every living thing. And He created every living thing in Eden, in which everything was perfect.

I am sure he created every creature with what was necessary to survive. Fins, legs, lungs, you name it.

Why would He do otherwise?

To even SUGGEST that anything other than this happened is just plain insane. How can we, who claim to know Jesus and believe (BELIEVE) the words in the Bible, entertain thoughts leading the opposite way?

Order can only come from chaos if someone puts it there.

Oh, a question though, for you evolutionists out there....tell me why the duck-billed platypus seems to be stuck in the midst of its own peculiar evolution? (A mammal that lays eggs and has webbed feet, fur, and a bill.)

I gotta run. Out of internet time again.

What were the chances that all the forces and elements necessary for a life permitting universe should have been created and properly alligned during the big bang. That's a real question, just so you know. I was interested in that, and I can't find an answer.

It hasnt been created & properly alligned, look at all the faults of the earth, the slipped disks under the surface that causes earth quakes, the volcanoes, the deformed creatures that crawl this earth... nothing has been done properly.
