Bush's Faith

greenfaux, i just got in, and i'm about to fix lunch, so i'll get back with you on the indisputable evidence. i've been reading it for years, buried in the middle of newspapers. there's actually a book out now that chronicles all the information, and i'll find the title of it for you as well. thus far, nobody has ever disputed any of the evidence... they've simply buried it.

and you're wrong, dear. bush was not even in office when the democrats were making many of those quotes i provided, so you can't say they were mimicking what a lowly texas governor was telling them. that's just plain absurd LOL.

by the way, did you bother listening to the farce of those 911 commission hearings? did you take note of how the liberals were saying bush didn't act quick enough on the information they provided him about saddam and al qaeda when bush took office?

by the way, you didn't answer my questions either...

you claim to question bush's faith and leadership, yet you're willing to vote for a man who intentionally killed innocent civilians during his four months of serving as commander of the swift boat, a man who has emphatically told pro-abortionists that he would support abortion, including partial birth abortions, who can't open his mouth without spitting out a lie or contradiction, and who inadvertantly supports the rights of gays to marry? i question your motives...

did i get that right?

here's a few links for you while my lunch is heating. oh, and the name of the book that i mentioned is called The Connection, by Stephen F. Hayes.

Newsmax article that quotes liberal sources (before they started burying the news)

archived article on freespeach.com quoting the DoD, including Jay Rockefeller who now has selective amnesia.

copy of an article by a London reporter

you can do a search on google and find 1620 results for articles that detail the links. so far, not one fact revealed in any of the articles has been found to be invalid. nobody disputes the information! they just pretend it doesn't exist.

LadyC - since Bush took office in January of 2001, only 7 of the 19 quotes you provided occurred when Clinton was in office. I said "However, many of the statements made were under the influence of information provided by the Bush administration." Let me revise that to MOST of the statements made were under the influence of information provided by the Bush administration. And I'll repeat, Clinton did not rush into this war, Bush did.

I did listen to some of the 9/11 hearings and I agree with you that a lot of unfair finger pointing was going on. It's easy to look back and say Bush didn't connect the dots.

I'll gladly answer your question over the weekend when I get a moment. Or was your question just a distraction from my question? Still waiting for that answer.

Would I go (or fight)? Ummm... yup. I just got back a month ago. Gimme a little rest and I'll be back, most likely.

Would I want my kids to go? Well, I'm hoping that it will be over with by the time they are old enough. Until then, I'm doing what I can to help prevent the chance of them being blown up because they were born American.

since i asked my question to you first (i am pretty sure i posed the question prior to you ever responding to me anyway), it couldn't have possibly been for the intention of distracting from the question you asked me. as for why bush later said there was no evidence of a link, that's a great question... and i wondered at the time he made that statement WHY he made it, considering all that we've learned.

feel free to read those articles when you have a moment too. they might surprise you just a little bit.

From Matthew 5

Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them saying:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

Greenfaux:

Didn't you know that these verses are only for personal relationships, not national affairs? PuhLeeze don't bring up the 'love thy enemy' stuff in the context of the war on terrorism.

oh oh oh, i forgot to answer your other question... did i volunteer to go? of course not. i'm too old, they wouldn't have me... and even if they would, i am a stay at home mom and my first priority is my family. i'm very pleased to say, however, that my 17 year old daughter asked for my written consent (which i proudly gave) to enlist as a minor into the Marine Corp. she will be leaving for Parris Island in three weeks. (she graduated high school last weekend.) my younger daughter has already expressed an interest in enlisting as soon as she finishes high school, too.

BTW, did you volunteer to go?

That's a nice little snide dig at the Lady, and , knowing her, I would bet that she would, (and her daugher DID) however, thank God that our military is a bit more professional then letting any housewife join up. Of course, you know that, which kinda shows that your question was just a dig. Not a good way to debate an issue. It negates your argument.

And I love it when people quote officials of the previous administration. They did not rush into war.

You mean, the previous President didn't really rush to bomb an aspirin factory to deflect America's eyes off of his personal scandals?? Is that on snopes?? I could have sworn that he really did do that.

Here's a quote for you by President Bush: "We have no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved with the September 11th" attacks"

Since you have this quote, you'll have no qualms about posting a source, right? When did Pres. Bush say this? In what document is this found? Thanks.

Lady - I think about your daughter daily. And even more so, I think about you. Having been through the kid-in-Parris-Island-thing, I have been praying for you. :)

No, Charlie, I didn't pay much attention to Clinton's religeous beliefs, or anyone elses, for that matter.

I didn't accept Jesus into my life until Oct 27, 2000. I never really considered or cared what people may have thought about God prior to that so I'll deflect that question to someone who was Saved before that time frame.

But, no. It's none of my business today, either. Or yours unless you are actively trying to help him in his walk.

WIP, thanks  rana seems to be concerned that they might not take her... she's lost a few pounds (not that she had many to spare) and is now four lbs below the minimum weight requirements.... she's been stuffing herself trying to put the lbs back on.

i do recall bush making such a statement... i wouldn't mind greenfaux posting the source though, since my memory is fuzzy. i had thought i'd dreamt it and so i'd put it out of my mind until he brought it up on this thread.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
