Greetings Fabrice,

A plant grows according to the soil it is in. You might want to read Mark 4. Before anyone comes to Christ, s/he is unfertile soil. Upon believing in and accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, He begin to dig up that old fallow ground, which can be a very arduous process, and He puts in good soil or nutrients, then He plants the seed of His Word to bring forth 10 or 100 times what was planted in it. If you resist the breaking up of the fallow ground, and want to keep the old "dirt" in your life, you soon become absolutely worthless for anything but to be thrown out into outer darkness.

Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

Oh okay I see what you mean

Yesterday, my mother and I discussed about that. And I came out with that example : If Jesus saw a porn mag. I think that, as He was pure (100%, do I have to say it) it would not be inpure in the sens that He would cry, and feel bad; without having effect in Him. Surely in itself it's abominable, but for Jesus, I mean ... it's nothing to Him, because He knows who He is.

I understood what you said, but I don't see the relation between the italic part of the verse and the seed that we have to let grow. I'll think about that more deeper anyway   :)

Greetings Fabrice,

Something I like to point out regards the Federal Treasury officials of the U.S. When learning about "counterfeit money" they are taken to the Treasury and given a "hands on" introduction into the "real stuff". They learn all about it, the color, the feel, the looks, the smell, the dots it is composed of, - EVERYTHING. They LEARN it so well that when finally introduced to the "counterfeit", they IMMEDIATELY recognize it for what it is.

This is the example for Christians. We should become so thoroughly familiar with the "real stuff", of the Word that when the "counterfeit stuff" comes around, we will recognize it immediately.

If you pour porn or filth of any sort into your mind, or even heretical doctrines - doctrines of demons, etc., your "mind" is tainted by such stuff. We are to think pure thoughts and only input that which is pure, wholesome and good. This is not always easy because we are so inundated these days with all sorts of filth.

Back in '63, I went to an X-rated movie. It amounted to a movie of a walrus giving live birth to a calf, and another movie that at one point showed Adam and Eve, bare buck naked, facing away from the audience walking down a very long path. There "image" on the screet was about 2" high, so you could barely make out they were naked. Today we see so much more than that on TV, magazines, movies etc. or even going to the beach. Access to the internet can contain all sorts of surprises when you are doing research and accidently type in something which bring up a porn site, or even when you are doing research correctly and all of a sudden a window opens up revealing porn. A few months ago, I started getting porn in the mail. I have no idea how it started, nor after talking to two mailmen, how to get it permanently stopped. This is what we live with today. Sad but very true.

I am not saying we should shut ourselves off from the world, because that is the soil we need to plant our "seeds of righteousness" in. But we should be very wary of the enemy, because He prowls around "seeking whom he may devour."

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

DE: This is an excellent thread that never seemed to take off for some reason. In fact, I don't think I ever saw it.

I love the scripture that says, "To the pure, everything is pure."

One of my favorite proverbs is Proverbs 11:27

"He who seeks good finds goodwill, but evil comes to him who searches for it."

I have also heard the short version..."evil to him who thinks evil..."

We should acknowledge the real and existing dangers of sin and temptation. We should also be balanced in our approach to life and

If I may add a word or two, Fabrice:  to one who is pure, he will see purity in everything.  To one who is impure, he will see opportunity for impurity everywhere. For example, to one who is pure, children's vulnerability will be seen as a sweet trait that illustrates how much children need to be protected.  To the impure, that vulnerability will be seen as something to be exploited and abused.

Amen girls,

Where does it say in the Bible to run from evil and do not get in tempted situations, the Devil still put things before our eyes to get our eyes of the Lord.

And how much would he like to put unpure stuff before the eyes of Christians, and we got sucked in it enough when we watch a movie or TV. Not to say everything is bad but how much is Satanic these days and too sexuel?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
