Looking for what our Jewish believers understand.

For a number of years I have felt as if scripture says that Israel, as GODs chosen, is not lost because of rejecting JESUS. That those who hold true to the belief that Messiah is coming to redeem them and have believed the promises of GOD, are still GOD's chosen people and will still be redeemed by HIM in the end.

I know that there are those who are jews who have done the kind of things that would loose them their position with GOD, but I sometimes think not all Jews who do not believe are lost.

Even though this is opposite of what most Christians believe.

Can I get some insights from those who are in a position to know.

Also, if Israel will still attain to the promise in their unbelief, where does JESUS fit in with the unbelieving jewish nation?

Thank you in advance for not attacking me for my ignorance.

Two items back to you....

1. Paul assented to the death of christians, and confessed that God had mercy on him because he was in ignorance. Did God take him back?

2. What if Jesus was not part of a trinity, and he was a man, born of a virgin..and God was his father? ...and God is One. What would the Jews say to this?

Hi Kross....It will be good to see what Jewish Believers understand from your comments.

I do not think it will detract from what the Scriptures already reveal...it is just that some others (not necessarily Jewish believers) might promulgate a national redemption that to many Christians seems to bypass the 'blood'....'quoting the section about "...all Israel shall be saved." Which in itself will lead to a brief semantics course in textual context and just who constitutes this 'Israel', and whether it involves the 'Church' of all 'saved human beings', or is specifically meaning all Jewish people.

I will also sit....no...stand in the shadows and listen. :taped:

There are already many many Jews who are saved through Christ and have been saved through Christ, starting with the first Churches in Isreal. We have prophecy that many more will be saved through Him.

However no one, Jew, Gentile etc will be saved outside of Jesus Christ.

My opinion is that we should not make rash judgements about whole nations or people's based on what we currently know about them or not. Just becuase most Jews living in Isreal today are not Christians does not mean in 100 years most Jews living in Isreal won't be Christians. We only see a tiny part of eternal reality.

I should add that I believe the nation of Israel will believe at HIS second coming.

God did not "take Paul back". When Paul was persecuting believers, he did not have a saving relationship with God in Christ. Paul had an encounter with the risen Christ and trusted in him alone for salvation. It was at that point he entered into a relationship with God. God's act of mercy in Paul's life was the encounter with Jesus.

Are you asking how Jewish people would feel about Jesus if He were not God?

I will add one thing.

Jesus warned us about not separating the "wheat and the tares."

This is His job, not ours.

"Duel Covenant" theology is convenient and attractive to some Jewish people but I can't find it in the Bible. I do not believe that there is an alternative way to an eternal relationship with the Almighty. Israel will indeed be saved as it says in the Bible. The details of how that works is something I'll enjoy learning...when it happens. Jewish people who do not have a relationship with God, however, are not saved and will not be unless they come to God by faith.

Peter spoke this to the jews

Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 He is " 'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone. 12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

So it seems that this is true for all men....especially the jews since they were told first.

It would be cruel of God to let His Son be crucified if there were another way....

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
