Full legal Gay marriage will happen in the US within the next 20 years I have no doubt

Well we are already suffering the ramifications NOW with this agenda being pushed a little closer within in our communities.

We already see confused children in regard to sexuality and the true role of men/women -

What mess will it be in 20 years time? 10 years form now?

If we as a Church - united Body in Christ - slip in our duty to uphold His Word, who is accountable? Won't it be the Body?

Do you believe God will hold everyone accountable for what happens in church?

Again, another example of someone being totally alone and unprofitable, because they don't attend church.
No I didn't say that. What I am saying is that whatever you DO have is augmented and amplified by plugging into a fellowship.

What makes you think you are such a hotshot that you don't need fellowship?

you miss out on blessings in your life through another Bro or Sis of Christ (directed by God)
Explain those statements, especially the "God's direction and directed by God" thing.

God used me and my Pastors wife (seperately) once to give a box of food and miscellaneous items that were given to me, from the Pastors wife - I did not need it in any way - I rang the wife and explained that my cupboards were full and I would rather she gave it to another family in Church - she refused. So I had it sitting in the lounge room, when the next day I was witness to a car accident involving a young family who were obviously down and out. It was right before Christmas, 2004...anyway, it was very strong on my heart to give this box of food to THAT family.

I tracked down where they lived and delivered it to them. They needed it.

This all unfolded because I went to that Church and I fit the requirements for Church Christmas help(the food box) - being a single Mum.

The amazing thing is I had become a member of that Chuch in 2001 and left it in early 2007 and that Christmas of 04 was the ONLY time I was given a food box - and I didn't need it.

To me, that was God's doing through the Church, to me - flowing onto that family involved in the accident.

That's what I mean by God's direction..

Of course not but if we see a need and not do anything and knowingly turn a blind eye - that is something that needs to be explained.

So do you believe things like that "only" happen in church?

God isn't active anywhere else but within a church?

What kind of need?

How is my impact any greater inside a church as in one? What I do outside is what is important and I think my arms reach more people outside than in, at least in regards to what kind of impact I make on any non-believers.
Because churches impact lives around the world, when you hook up with a church, you are able to participate both directly and indirectly with ministries that can go places you can't. You get to play a part in reaching lost people that your own scope of experience will never touch on its own.

I agree that a bible class where there is interaction sharpens ones skills yet I have found places like this or small groups do as much or more since there is much more feed back from others.
Yes, but there is nothing like face to face accountability and face to face fellowship. It is good thing they do here on Worthy, but the leadership will tell you that is is not intended to be a replacement for being involved in a local fellowship.

True a denominational church has the membership to put the tithes to good work but my time and money can also be given outside of a church. I am not knocking churches yet I am know exactly what Man means about getting knocked around about not going to a church building for fellowship and all that.
It's called "conviction."

And I have to agree with Man also about what everyone shares about the evils of the church today yet uphold the goodness of them at the same time.
People will complain about some of the things their kids do that they don't approve of, but that doesn't mean they love their kids less. Many of us do criticize the church, but we do it to make it better. Not just to lt off steam.

The problem is that it is easy to get self-righteous and condemn the things that other believers do that is wrong, but what we need are people willing to be the ones to be the positive counter influence. Simply withdrawing from the church never solves the problem.

I agree much work needs to be done in the churches yet I have wonder if this just isn't the way its going to be until Christ returns and sets things straight. We need to pray for all of our brothers and sisters where ever they may be
It doesn't have to be this way. We do need pray for our brothers and sisters but we also need to be a light to those need it, and you cannot be the light and positive influence you need to be when you keep yourself withdrawn.

That is how you come across.

Why is it believed that none of the above mentioned can be accomplished outside of that building?

Someone explain that to me.

why is it when an "anti" church person speaks of church it is always about the building and not the people?

perhaps this is why you have the view of church that you have, becuase you mistake the building for the church, and not the people

Because that's what we're talking about here, a building. I don't go to a building once a week and I'm considered a bad person for it.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
