According to the lawsuit, the U.S. government, through its ownership of AIG, is not only violating the Constitution, but also promoting and funding............. Shariah-compliant businesses and insurance products.

Why should we or would we be financing, even by proxy, a war against our own way of life? By Loaning the money to AIG they are in effect agreeing to lend money to and insure their customers, many of whom are "shariah compliant" (aka Anti-Western). Do you now see the conflict of interest?

Are you saying that you're willing to risk it? Under these circumstances don't you think that the government should be putting restrictions on loaning money to or insuring "Shariah Complaint" companies?

What caught me is how 2.5 percent of the revenue must be given to charities chosen by their "shariah council" and all troubled "tainted" assets must also be "purified" by being given to charities chosen by this "shariah council" (Muslims). SO right off the top they are saying that certain moneys must automatically be given to charities chosen by Muslims that benefit mainly Muslims.

In this global economy, bail out of Ford, or GM, or Fannie Mae is likely supporting someone who is anti-american.

Perhaps another reason why the government should not steal money from it's citizens and give it to someone else.

on the surface, this sounds serious, BUT, are the shariah compliant companies some among many of the companies under the AIG umbrella OR does AIG confine themselves to underwriting just those companies?

if it's the former, it would seem all insurance companies must do this or be considered discriminatory. if it's the latter, they ARE discriminatory and should not be bailed out.

i would appreciate more insight into this.

The point is the government, for it's sake as well as ours, should not be propping up a company that directly or indirectly supports or finances companies whose financial principals are derived from and beholden to Islam. It's not enough that the bulk of the worlds oil supply is controlled by Islamic governments, now even professed Christians are suggesting we adopt Islamic financial "laws"? What's this world coming to?

What I find truly disturbing is many of those who support adopting Islamic financial laws are also the very same who support separation of church and state. So while they are busy removing God from our own government they are encouraging our government to embrace Islam.

I hope I am not the only one who sees this.
