  3. I'm just going by what I have read in certified English translations of Sharia and google translated sections of Bukhari's hadith. I am not agreeing that it is ok, especially today, but customs were different 2,000 years ago pertaining to what was and was not acceptable. Female rights living an Islamic lifestyle in countries ruled by Sharia are much different than in western civilization.
  4. Let's dispense with the tautology and say that OT prophecies foretold the future. The reason they do this is because God calls them to their ministry, and gifts them with their message. 1Pe 1:10-12 Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, (11) searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. (12) To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into. 2Pe 1:19-21 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; (20) knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, (21) for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. Admittedly there is a close association and shared usage of the terms prophecy and prediction, both in secular and ecclesiastical narratives, but a more accurate Biblical Theology doesn't confine prophecy to prediction.
  5. Mohammed was 54 while she was 9 years old playing with dolls. And apparently he took her into his house when she was 6 years old. This video has an Arabic scholar who compares Islamic texts in Arabic on the subject. He says the English translations are mistranslated from the Arabic. Apparently in order to justify Mohammed having sex with a 9 year old child.
  6. Yes, that's obedience to the Holy Spirit. There have been a few times when the Holy Spirit has spoken to me but the noise and business of the day have seemed more important, and then something has happened and I have wished I had paid attention to the Holy Spirit. This has led me to ask the Holy Spirit to speak louder to get my undivided attention if I'm not picking up.
  7. I have to disagree here sorry. Most of the immigrants who have come here (UK) have come illegally. Broken our laws some even stabbing others in the boats crossing the channel with them. There is currently a big problem in the UK with sex trafficking gangs. Most run by Muslim immigrant men. They have gone through several safe countries in Europe and are choosing to aim for UK. The authorities have had to look for them because after failing immigration rules they have gone into hiding. Lawlessness is not a godly concept. We are to obey the laws of the land. Offering shelter, love and safety to those in genuine need is correct but we also have to protect the people in this land from unfortunately a large majority who have no intention of integration and means us harm . Sorry but situation getting pretty bad here in UK.
  8. by Karen Faulkner, Worthy News Correspondent (Worthy News)—America’s United Methodist Church General Conference last week voted to remove from its Book of Discipline rulebook a clause asserting that homosexuality is “incompatible with Christian teaching,” the Christian Post (CP) reports. Theological differences between conservatives and progressives prompted many conservative churches to leave the denomination ahead of this year’s General Conference, facilitating the approval of changes. Over the past couple of years, thousands of congregations have departed the UMC to join the Global Methodist Church, established in 2022 as a conservative counterpart to the denomination. South Carolina Conference Bishop L. Jonathan Holston noted in a statement that the vote would bring joy to some and sorrow to others. “I know that some of you are celebrating, some are mourning and some are uncertain about what your future holds — for the denomination, for your local church and perhaps even for yourselves as followers of Jesus Christ,” Holston said. denomination amid intense debate and turmoil surrounding the issue. In a vote taken in Charlotte, North Carolina, on May 2, the UMC General Conference voted 523 to 161 in favor of removing clause 304.3 under “Qualifications for Ordination” in the Book of Discipline. The clause was added in 1972 and read: “The practice of homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching.” The delegates further approved a new statement that: “Marriage [is] a sacred, lifelong covenant that brings two people of faith (adult man and adult woman of consenting age or two adult persons of consenting age) into a union of one another and into deeper relationship with God and the religious community.” The post UMC Votes to Abolish Rule That Homosexuality Is “Incompatible” with Christian Teaching appeared first on Worthy Christian News. 10. Yes Vine Abider we must co-operate if we want to be in a good and faithful relationship with God. You can't be in a good standing relationship with anything that you claim to love, if you are not willing to co-operate. When we Hear God calling us to His plan of Mercy and Grace, we ask God to forgive our sins and make a home in us. When we do this we have invited God to forgive our sins cover them with His shed Blood, and we also receive the Holy Spirit of God that comes and grafts in our hearts His LAW, His commandments, so that when we go the wrong way, our spirit gets convicted ( usually faster than not) by the Holy Spirit of God to repent and return to His right truth full Way. If we disobey rebellio0usdly this conviction, we grieve the Holy Spirit and make our life worse not better. The danger with unrepentant sin, the more you wilfully continue to engage in sin, without repenting and seeking His forgiveness the more you distance yourself from God and His Holy Spirit, and the more corrupt your mind becomes to the point of no longer being able to discern, recognize right from wrong. Here Christ Jesus will go looking for His lost sheep and will try to bring the lost sheep back to His fold. (john 10:10) If you are truly His, you WILL hear His voice and you will desire to repent and also grieve that you disappointment Him and you will be willing from a sincere place of heart to recommit your life to Him by become more willing to fellowship with Him daily and ask Him for direction in doing His will over yours. He is Faithful to help you find back your way. He will bring back through the Holy Spirit of God the remembrance of His ways and restore your own conscience to His righteous ways. He will take away the strongholds in you and restore you to the child of God you where always intended to be. However is you do not heed His call, and still continue to sin, your conscience will become more and more seared and can become so depraved it becomes reprobate the point of no return, that is, that you no longer recognize His voice, nor desire to follow Him and may even curse the Holy Spirit God in your last breath of life. This is the unpardonable sin, when you have rejected the Holy Spirit of God to indwell in you. Mathew 12: 31-32 Hell is the absence of God Look to 1 John ch1, God is light no darkness can live in Him. Christ Jesus explained His plan of salvation through His Mercy and Grace through parable of the Sower. in Mathew 13: 18-23 When we read through John’s gospel we find Jesus teaching that indwelling is future tense. John 14:15 and following, “If you love me you will keep my commandments. And I WILL ask the Father and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, FOR HE ABIDES ‘WITH’ YOU AND WILL BE ‘IN’ YOU.” I would be very careful to never encourage a person that is seeking Christ Jesus and His plan of Mercy and Grace that its ok to continue in sinful behaviour because its NOT. And anyone professing to be a Christian who does this; is misleading and straying themselves from Gods Word and plan of Mercy and Grace and will be held accountable for also misleading another. Luke 17:2 2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the

  12. By Stefan J. Bos, Chief International Correspondent Worthy News JAKARTA (Worthy News) – A mob, including some armed with sharp weapons such as sticks, stormed a prayer service of Catholic students near Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, the latest in a series of anti-Christian incidents in the world’s largest Muslim nation, Christians told Worthy News early Tuesday. The troubles began late Sunday in an area of the city of South Tangerang, some 30 kilometers (19 miles) southwest of Jakarta, Catholic sources said. “Pamulang University Catholic students had gathered in a house in Victor Serpong [district] to pray… But they were raided by the leader of the neighborhood association and residents.” The crowd, believed to be Muslims, “took an hour to disperse after beating the students who were praying,” Catholic representatives said. In a recording obtained by Worthy News, women could be heard shouting as a crowd of mainly young men rushed towards the home where the believers apparently gathered. There were no reports of serious injuries, but one attacked student, only identified in local media as ACCR, confirmed he reported the abuse to local police. “Yes, it was me,” he said in published remarks, adding that he now wanted to focus on “an exam at the university.” POLICE INVESTIGATION While Catholics said they were pleased there were no serious injuries despite the violence, they expressed hope police would “immediately investigate and solve cases like this.” However, Christians also stressed that the clashes “don’t take away our duty to forgive.” The clashes highlighted concerns among rights watchers who say the situation for Christians has been “deteriorating” in recent years. “If a church is thought to be engaging in outreach in their community, they are likely to run into opposition from radical Islamic groups. Depending on the region, some church groups also face difficulties getting permission for building churches,” noticed advocacy group Open Doors in a recent assessment. “Indonesian society is increasingly influenced by conservative interpretations of Islam. Polls regularly show that young people, especially, hold conservative views, and by-laws on Islamic dress are becoming more common,” Open Doors added. Christians comprise nearly 11 percent of Indonesia’s mainly Muslim population of 282 million people, according to the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) estimates. Open Doors ranks Indonesia 42nd on its annual World Watch List of 50 nations, where it says Christians face most persecution for their faith in Christ. 13. Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is a sin that I understand is not forgivable. I would assume that there are more than one way to do that. I think worshiping the Beast, and taking the mark of the Beast, seem to be a final condemnation not recoverable from.
  14. It is my understanding that in the days of Jesus in the flesh, Israeli girls could marry at age 12. Sharia Law states that if Muslim girls marry at that age, they can not consummate the marriage until the girl passes puberty. I know it doesn't fit today's standards, but life spans were not what they are now back then. We should remember that Islamic people are still pretty much moral wise, living in the seventh century after Mohammad died.
  15. That is an interesting study on the Greek word for assembly and such. But, the question or statement about the word "Church," an English word to which the Greek was transliterated unto, which equally carries its own unique translation and usage. Such is why an assembly of Jews (temple or synagogue) or a Muslims (mosque) or JW's (Kingdom Hall) would never call a "Church." WEBSTER'S 1828 AMERICAN DICTIONARY of the ENGLISH LANGUAGE - CHURCH, noun 1. A house consecrated to the worship of God, among Christians; the Lords house. This seems to be the original meaning of the word. The Greek, to call out or call together, denotes an assembly or collection. But, Lord, a term applied by the early Christians to Jesus Christ; and the house in which they worshipped was named from the title. So church goods, bona ecclesiastica; the Lords day, dies dominica. 2. The collective body of Christians, or of those who profess to believe in Christ, and acknowledge him to be the Savior of mankind. In this sense, the church is sometimes called the Catholic or Universal church 3. A particular number of Christians, united under one form of ecclesiastical government, in one creed, and using the same ritual and ceremonies; as the English church; the Gallican church; the Presbyterian church; the Romish church; the Greek church 4. The followers of Christ in a particular city or province; as the church of Ephesus, or of Antioch. 5. The disciples of Christ assembled for worship in a particular place, as in a private house. Colossians 4:15. 6. The worshipers of Jehovah or the true God, before the advent of Christ; as the Jewish church 7. The body of clergy, or ecclesiastics, in distinction from the laity. Hence, ecclesiastical authority. 8. An assembly of sacred rulers convened in Christs name to execute his laws. 9. The collective body of Christians, who have made a public profession of the Christian religion, and who are united under the same pastor; in distinction from those who belong to the same parish, or ecclesiastical society, but have made no profession of their faith. I know you are into Hebrew Roots, but perhaps endeavoring to be all things to all people, (...unto the Romans as a Roman...) will help. Meaning, you must first respect the usage of language of the people to whom you are speaking before asserting on top of it the application of another. It is a simple fact, how "ekkleesia" was used in the Greek does not regulate the usage and meaning of Church in English. Perhaps that will help you from being so absolute in your statements.
  16. There is only 1 unforgivable sin. Intentionally rejecting the truth and forgiveness of Jesus after knowing the truth. Everything up until this can be forgiven, but once this is done, a person is pushed past the point of repentance. This is not because Jesus won't forgive the person, but because the person has hardened their heart so much that they are no longer able to seek forgiveness.
  17. And as our Islamic population grows, parts of our government want to disarm our citizens. No thank you.
  18. Even when Hamas not only hides but fights from within these Hospitals and has for decades. They store weapons and even shoot rockets from the parking lot of these hospitals. These in Gaza are no longer hospitals, but military bases where they take people for health care. And they must be destroyed if Israel is to be safe. You can blame Hamas for the problem, for the military is not supposed to operate out of hospitals. Hamas has no dignity or morals when it comes to their enemy, or their own people, and deserves none from any of the rest of us. The people killed in those hospitals according to their beliefs go directly to heaven and unlike other who have to lay in their graves till the end of the word so to speak. And remember that the citizens in Gaza voted to make Hamas their government, so there are very few if any that are truly innocent. Throughout history, the people there that are trying to be considered Palestinians are really just several tribes of people who have fought amongst themselves for so many years we don't even know. If it wasn't for Israel, they would still be killing each other. The people in Gaza didn't want to be governed by the Palestinian Authority, so separated themselves from the West Bank folks. They will be fighting amongst themselves if Israel is destroyed. You might also be concerned by the documents found during the investigation of the Holyland Foundation in the early 2000s, where documents were found laying out a ten-year plan to overthrow the USA government. And though the top five people were sent to prison, no one in power has done anything to stop the plan from being carried out by the many Islamic organizations here in the US. It is well on its way, just a few years postponed. Hamas is a global terrorist group and needs to be destroyed globally. I've interfaced with them on the dark web several years ago and still get occasional death threats from them. I took them serious enough to go to our local sheriff's department and was suggested to always carry a weapon away from home. My feeling about them are kind of on the personal side.
  19. Amen. Hosea 6:1 - Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for He hath torn, and He will heal us; He hath smitten, and He will bind us up. 2 After two [millennial] days will he revive us: in the third [millennial] day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight. 3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
  20. Yes. It's that old question: "Is it me doing it or His Spirit/life in me doing it?" Again, yes. As Philippians 2:13 says, "For it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working." So we must cooperate, that is, we let His life operate through us to do the works. But surely something of a mystery . . .
  21. If a word is good --- if it encourages and edifies --- then from whence those words come doesn't matter. I understand that it does matter to some but when we weigh this properly, how we are encouraged in Jesus Christ is of no importance. If our hearts and minds are pointed toward the Lord, then it is good. As far as prophecy is concerned, I can only write from my own experience. The Lord has declared events before they started as it pertains to my engagement in them which is to say, His words equipped me according to His purpose. As for who benefits from the events in question, it is always about those whom I serve or support. For a point of reference, something similar is recorded in Acts 9:10-19. When Ananias went to Paul as instructed by the Lord, this is an example of pprophecy. Prophecy is forth-telling or, speaking those words which the Lord gives us to say and doing those things that He instructs us to do. As for visions of things to come that affect the world and us all, these were recorded in scripture a long time ago.
  22. You have said some excellent things along the way, but then these little bits of leaven, as it were, undoes it all for me, and I'm only on page 3... It is reminding me of the saying that "The best lie is the one with the must truth in it, and only a pinch of error." You know, just like "No lie is of the truth" or "A little leaven will leaven the whole?" If Jesus has sat down on His Father's throne after being manifested in the flesh and justified in the spirit, seen of angel and received with a choir of angelic praise "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing," then brother, Jesus is indeed reigning.
  23. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, (and it is NOT blasphemy in any way): If Yeshua` is ruling and reigning right now, then He is the WEAKEST and most INEFFECTIVE KING there has EVER been! Yes, I found it a bit offensive. To me it is like saying the longsuffering and forbearance of God is evidence of His lack of power...
