  1. I have always had problems with my sinuses but this year is even worst than ever I've try a netty pot with some success; even when to see a doctor about 2 weeks ago got some antiboitics but within a couple of days of running out I had a relapse. The real problem is where I work like most other places they don't like people missing work. Does any one know of any cures. Yesterday missing work, made my second occurrence in 2 weeks, at work and as late as my doctor appointment is today I don't think I will make work tonight either, only good thing is it still one occurrence for two straight days, but I'm really getting tire of literally, being a snot nose.
  2. Many modern Bible scholars state that the passage of John 7:53-8:11 (also known as the Pericope de Adultera) is not really part of the orginal Gospel of John. While I definitely don't agree with this veiw, as I believe this passage to be inspired Scripture from the Gospel of John; I was wondering does anyone have a good defense for this passage or know of anyone who does? I would just like to be able to give a reasonable answer as to why I believe this (Colossians 4:6; I Peter 3:15). I did a search on the Internet but couldn't find much on these verses. Any help would be much appreciated. But I probably won't be back on Worthy til some time Wednesday the third, as I will be a little busy.
  3. "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want." Psalms 23:1 How can this verse be true, because I do want, but when God test me I learn though faith, patience which will make me complete wanting nothing. "(2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; (3) Knowing this that the trying of your faith worketh patience. (4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may perfect and entire wanting nothing." James 1:2-4 The Apostle Paul says tribulation worketh patience, and patience, experience and experience, hope. But read in Romans 5:5 what this hope does to us; to have what is spoken in Romans 5:5 will make any believer in Christ not want. Or as the Psalmist said, "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Psalms 37:4 In all honesty my opinion is that by the test which I often fail I learn to rely more on God, because I have a tendency to forget the grace which is given to me through Jesus Christ. My schoolmaster (the law) helps me to remember Jesus my wonderful Savior (Galatians 3:24). I think sometimes God knows we are going to fail the test, and loving reminds us that Christ is the Foundation or as Regis would say our FINAL ANSWER (Romans 7:24-25; I Corinthians 2:2, 3:11) which will always cause us to pass the the test as a child of God (Galatians 3:25-26)
  4. Psalms 37:4 "Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart." Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Romans 8:31-32--"(31) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (32) He that spared not His own son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things."
  5. I would sure like to GPC, but not real sure how to start one here.
  6. Emmie, to have a relationship with God the Father one must come thru Jesus Christ. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." John 14:6 I think you know this but just in case let explain a little more. If you don't know Jesus as personal savior you can't have a relationship with God. The Bible tells us we are all sinners. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Then we are told because of sin we died spiritually Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" And this is why we need a relationship with God, because our nature is sinful. But how can a Holy God look on sin, He can't so God the Father had to do something about our sin problem. He sent His only Begotten Son, who did no sin, to take our sins and make us righteous. II Corinthians 5:21 "For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." The Him in this verse is our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." But how does one get this eternal life? Romans 10:9-10 "(9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with mouth confession is made unto salvation." So all one need to do to attent eternal life is believe in our heart that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. And them confess this with our mouth. When this is done we are "... passed from death unto life. " John 5:24 And we become part of the Family of God, "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." John 1:12 If we are God's sons and/or daughters we have a real family relationship with the Father. We as Christians can cry "Abba Father" (Galatians 4:5-6; Romans 8:14-15) In modern terms you can call God literally Daddy. No man or woman, can get a closer relationship than this with God. The Holy Spirit is "the Spirit of adoption" spoken of in Romans 8:15 and refer to in Galatians 4:6. If you know Christ Jesus you are part of the "household of faith" Galatians 6:10, or as it says in Ephesians 2:19, "household of God" This is the only way to have a relationship with God.
  7. Well I don't know about the rest of the Western world but right now in the USA, I think most would react rather angerly. Since we have many illegal aliens hurting the economy some are getting special priviledges that most hard-working Americans can't get. I myself would have no problem as long as they come as legal aliens. I really having a problems with the term aliens, after watching the movie Alien and Aliens last night.
  8. HIS girl do you mean Australia the United States or both or even the "big guns" when you say "our doors?"
  9. I really don't think we are responsible for their drought in Africa. But I think we in the Western World should help more, but it seems like these Africa nations are trying to blackmail us, just my opinion.
  10. Praise God, though are great verses kross.
  11. I think I agree with you, Franky, but maybe not because I believe many believers could live a longer live if they were to denied Christ. What I mean by that is in most Moslem Countries not to reject the name of Christ is a death sentence (Hebrews 11:37; Romans 8:36) Jesus died at 33, many of the Apostles of Christ died at an early age, also.
  12. Actually it was on our local news tonight the newcaster say the gentleman was from our state.
  13. Great post Franky I would sure agree with your statement. "He that spare not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all thimgs?" Romans 8:32
  14. "Yea, and all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." II Timothy 3:12 I know this doesn't help much but I think a lot of your problem is the brightness of light of the Holy Spirit (Philippians 2:14-16). It sounds like your neighbour hates you because of your devotion to G-d (John 3:18-19). My advice, is above all things confess to G-d that it is impossible for you to love this person in your own strength. "If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men." Romans 12:18 After this ask G-d for His help to love this neighbour of yours by shedding His love in your heart. "And hope maketh not ashamed;because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Romans 5:5 Don't beat yourself up over this either; saved our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, I don't think there is anyone who hasn't had this problem before. Just continue to prayer for G-d's love for this person in your heart. Just please don't try to do this on your own strength
  15. Undercrank as many others on Worthy I would have to say I Peter 3:15 and Paul's writing are a good defense of Apologetics. Colossians 4:6 "Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man." Paul even warned Timothy of science, "(20) O Timothy, keep that which is commited to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and opposition of science falsely so called: (21) Which some have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen." I Timothy 6:20-21
  16. But I thought after President Obama, was elected the media said racism was dead in America. But not according to that great Presidet ( ) of ours, who was it, oh ya President Jimmy Carter( ); by his definition I a racism because I don't agree with President Obama healthcare.
  17. God also finds the slaughter of innocent people repugnant, but the Amalekites weren't innocent. If you care to read the verse before it, I Samuel 15:2, "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt." Read Exodus 17:8-16. you will find out that the Amalekites attempted to destroy Israel; in verses 14 thru 16 God sworn that He would have war with Amalek, thus these people were anything but innocent. The Amalekites were the once who actions started this war. And as Rufus stated Saul failed to fulfill this command.
  18. I'm with you Butero, as soon as it come out at Wal-mart I will get a copy. Anybody the press hates as must as Sarah Palin with Christian values I'm all for.
  19. Paul while writing to the Church at Ephesus states, "That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." Ephesians 5:26 (He here is Christ Jesus, it here is us the Church, see verse 25) but we are washed by the water of the Word. For Jesus said, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." John 17:17 The Church has been given authority through Christ by His Word (II Timothy 3:15-17; Isaiah 8:20; I Peter 1:23-25). Peter states, "(2) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (3) If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious." I Peter 2:2-3 Jesus told the Jews, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39 The Bible is the final authority because it was given us from God. Peter wrote of the writings of Paul being scriptures (II Peter 3:15-16). Man is to live by every word of God. (Matthew 4:4; Luke 4:4; Deuteronomy 8:3). The word give us hope, (Romans 15:4). In the Book of Revelation we are told of though who are slain for the Word of God (Revelation 6:9-11). Yes the Church can be the final authority so long as it is found upon the Word of God. This how the Council at Jerusalem gave their answer concerning the Gentile believers (Acts 15:13-21). How where the synagogue of the Jews more noble in Berea then in Thessalonica (Acts 17:10-11) "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above thy name." Psalms 138:2
  20. Yea, Glenn Beck is a great American Hero.
  21. Yes He was killed, "From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto His disciples, how that He must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priest and scribes, and be KILLED, and raised again the third day." (Matthew 16:21 also Mark 8:31, 9:31, 10:33-34; Luke 9:22) These are just from the Gospels, Botz gave verses from Acts. Yes Jesus gave His life away but make no mistake He was killed. I think, He had outsmarted the devil and his angels, 'Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." I Corinthians 2:8 We are told in Revelation 5:6,9, that Christ was slain. The first Messianic Prophecy states that Jesus heel would be bruised by the devil, while Jesus by His death (bruised heel) would destroy the devil bruising his head(Genesis 3:15) Thank God Jesus was killed because I live eternally through His death and resurrection. Paul writes concerning the Jews "Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:" I Thessalonians 2:15 So yes Jesus was killed, in the like manner we are to suspect persecution from our own country (I Thessalonians 2:14).
  22. Yes, I have it, HIS girl, don't care for it all that much. Missing verses such as Yochanan (John) 5:3b-4; Acts 8:37; and most of I Yochanan (I John) 5:7.
  23. So I guest you celebrated Rosh Hasahanah. Been a little Interested in learning more about Jewish beliefs. So are you a Messianic Jew, branchesofHim. If so I probably will have a lot of question for you with Yom Kippur and Sukkot coming up shortly.
  24. In the Book of Abraham chapter 4 of "The Pearl of Great Price" the Mormon religion teaches that there are many gods, Not one! Yes the Mormons tell us they believe in Jesus Christ but it is not the same Jesus that we read of in the Bible. Paul wrote concerning this issue, "(6) I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: (7) Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. (8) But thought we , or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. (9) As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:6-9 To be honest with you protector if I were to just look at their outward appearance I would agree with you. But when I look into their teachings I see great heresy. (14) And no marvel: for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. (15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose ends shall be according to their works." As for the many wives of the Old Testament Saints it was something that God had overlooked/ winked at(Acts 17:30-31). We know this because of Jesus words in Matthew 19:4-6: Mark 10:6-9, speaking of the man and woman Jesus said they "are no more twain, but one flesh" if a man has more than one wife it is more than twain. see also Genesis 2:24. This is also why Paul gave the commands of the qualifications of bishop and deacons; both were to be the husband of one wife I Timothy 3:2,12; Titus 1:6-7 These are qualification that Joseph Smith and Brigham Young both missed.
