  1. I agree the wording is not clear, however, if the earth was formless and empty before "in the beginning", then you have a problem of something being created before time began, for all things were created in those 6 days. Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

    Matthew7:7-8

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. James 4:3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. Psalm 27:8 You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.” What if I am asking wrongly; asking for earthly things, for an easier life, for less struggles, and God sees things differently, has a different purpose,

    Matthew7:7-8

At first, it looks like we can ask anything. In reading the previous chapter, 6, I see: We are to give, pray, fast, store heavenly treasures, not worry. Can one love God, know His will, to the point where they will ask only what is His will for you to ask, seek only His will, etc.? Does the Holy Spirit really lead us, in everything we ask?
  4. For no reason? Or because though He can do anything, yet He can not deny Himself? I am asking, not saying I understand this.
  5. 2 Timothy 2:13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
  6. I've been reading the negative interest thing for about a year now, It seems we need to keep more money in circulation as debt, I'm wondering how long these nations can keep up with the negative rates, how low they can go, and what is the outcome.
  7. You, or I, may be mis or un informed, but we can disagree and still converse! God bless you,
  8. I would agree, that based on history of Islamic terrorists killing people in this country, we should not lose sleep. However, our recent history is not relevant when you consider the plans that were printed years ago, have been right on track, the mass invasions are occurring, and well, it has already started and will only accelerate, see Davida's post above. Tonight, sleep well. I expect there will be more sleep lost in the near future.
  9. Very good explanation, clear, easy to read, thank you. Based on my understanding of scripture, I agree with the first paragraph above, for there are verses supporting how none seek God, but God reaches down to us, for even the heavens declare His glory, etc. My question, if I can get my wording correct, do you see anything happening between these two paragraphs that you wrote and I picked out here above. Are you saying God only reaches down for those to whom He gives a new heart to? Or does God reach down, or call to all and give us free will to accept or reject Him? Now, you may not wish to answer directly, and I may not even want you too. Someone I know has plainly stated that God has not chosen them, and I simply can't wrap my head around that other than this person refuses perhaps to repent. I don't know. I believe God desires all to come to Him, now is the time, if a person desires to know God, repents and seeks, they will find Him. God does not turn His back on anyone, eternal life is a free gift. I don't know why, but all day I've been seeing this wide road with nothing but darkness, and the narrow road simply as light, and God sets them before us to choose, not that we can find the narrow road on our own, but He reveals it to us, and even though it only takes one small step in faith to reach this narrow road, it is an incredibly hard step, and God beckons us with "now is the time". And I am left with, is this just my thoughts? Is any of this unbiblical?
  10. 1. "Day 3 is filled with plants bearing seeds and trees bearing fruits. This normally is not a 24 hour process." I would agree this is not normally a 24 hour process. Would creating something from nothing be a normal process? 2. "Because on the earth now, when it is evening in one spot it is morning in another" True, I would agree again. We had the space shuttle orbit the earth approximately every 90 minutes, does that in any way change our understanding of what a day is? 3. "The 7th day is conspicuously missing an evening and morning." Sure, so? Does that mean night never came after the 7th day? I simply am not following how you make something out of no information given. 4. I've been pondering how God can speak something into existence, and then a good argument is that God somehow works too slow for you to believe His word?
  11. Yes, I have hears these arguments many times. People get so caught up in word meanings, that the forest disappears. The seven days is found throughout the bible. I'm unconvinced your argument has any biblical backing, as you are only showing what could be meant if God meant to deceive us with the text presented.
  12. I replied to another question, but I will listen, how do you explain any of them are not 24 hours? The same theme is throughout the bible, 6 days consisting of one day and one night, 7th day resting.
  13. Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. And?
  14. I believe God's intentions are more than we can fathom. I accept God desired what He created, and in giving free will, He knew how that would play out, and intended from creation the plan of redemption in order for His creation to bring Him glory. No second thoughts needed for an all knowing Creator.
  15. Since God has always known the beginning to the end, I doubt He has an after thought?
  16. I vote we only spend money we actually have! Of course I am too simple to see how each dollar the government spends actually returns 2 or 3 dollars. We can solve our national debt problem just by spending more money?
  17. You don't have to listen to me just because I'm right!
  18. From the site you provided: Psalms 104:35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD. Now, from the same bible, it says: Ezekiel 18:23 Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? 1 Timothy 2:4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. So yes, I do believe God is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow, just as scripture says. I read that God does desire all people to be saved, and He takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked.
  19. Could you find this please? There is one who was by Jesus's side who was never baptized, yet did accept Him?
  20. Certainly. Criminals, terrorists, etc need to be dealt with and stopped. I can not find any joy in any soul going to hell. I have not killed anyone, yet I don't consider myself any more deserving of God's mercy than another.
  21. C. H. Spurgeon (Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit [Pilgrim Publications], 24:410-411) reported how John Bunyan said “that he often felt while preaching that he could give his own salvation for the salvation of his hearers.” Then Spurgeon stuck the knife in: “And I pity the man who has not felt the same.” This paints a picture of caring. I don't have much sympathy for terrorists. But I wonder if I should. For someone to become a terrorist, I believe has been deceived, to devote themselves to Satan's lies.

    Is Hell eternal?

Too obvious! Have to discuss it first lol! I have heard some people actually say they choose to go to hell, well, I doubly even the coldest heart would say that after spending the first second there.
  23. I guess I'm responding to the harshness in a lot of posts, and accusations of false teaching with no attempt to show how it is false. If I am wrong about something, and you were to treat me harshly, how could that help to promote truth, or guide me to learn and correct my understanding? Not meant for you in particular, someone has at the bottom of their posts something like nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care, or something like that. That would probably speak of me most of the time, thinking I know something but failing to show people I love how much I care.
  24. This was very recent that I took the time to read some about this, I always thought the bombs were to shorten the war and save lives. Maybe,
  25. If there are false teachers, maybe at this site, then they should either be banned to keep the content out, or as this verse states: "reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching". If a teaching is wrong, and someone patiently corrects, backing it up with scripture, to me seems to expose the truth. When animosity is clearly shown without any correction done with kindness, well, the condescension is quite apparent. Love your enemies? Maybe we can start with loving those who do not completely agree with us?
